The PlayStation.Blog team — with painfully little knowledge of video editing — ventured blindly into this new app to see what we could come up with… and we think the results are pretty admirable given our lack of expertise! As it turns out, SHAREfactory is deceptively full featured, despite its instant accessibility.
If you’ve been keeping even half an eye on gaming-related forums, blogs and social feeds over the last week or two you will surely have seen the stunning fruits of inFAMOUS Second Son’s brilliant Photo Mode, which developer Sucker Punch added to the game via an update earlier this month. It’s fair to say the new feature has surpassed everyone’s expectations and taken off in a big, big way – there are some absolutely incredible images out there, all created by you, the gamers.
PS4 has sold seven million units worldwide and it’s all thanks to you, inFAMOUS Second Son got a bunch of new, player-requested features (and a surprise photo mode, which is incredible), three new PS Vita games are making their way to North American shores, Minecraft on PS3 is getting a retail release, new The Last of Us DLC is on the way, The Walking Dead Season Two is coming to PS Vita Tuesday, and more.
Just a few short weeks ago we officially released inFAMOUS Second Son, the most recent power-filled adventure from Sucker Punch Productions exclusively for the PlayStation 4 system. Immediately following the title’s announcement over a year ago, it was clear so many of you were eagerly anticipating Second Son’s release, the next installment to the inFAMOUS franchise.
That’s how long it’s been since I went to the midnight launch of Second Son here in Bellevue, Washington (just outside Seattle). I must have talked to over 100 people there, and so many more on social media and forums, Twitter, NeoGAF, etc. since then. It’s been amazing to see the excitement and passion of inFAMOUS fans, new and old. I want to let you all know how much your enthusiasm and support means to us, how it renews us, and readies us to go try to make even better games in the future.

That’s not all we got this week, either. Long-awaited superhuman adventure inFAMOUS Second Son is out now on PS4 (make sure you check out the Paper Trail missions… super cool), and gamers are all over it.
Virtual reality! inFAMOUS Second Son launch! Dark Souls II! Alien: Isolation! GDC! This week’s show has it all, topped off with a dollop of next week’s new PlayStation software releases for North America.
