LittleBigPlanet Karting‘s newest trailer is here, and it’s all about Story Mode. In LittleBigPlanet Karting, LittleBigPlanet is again under siege, this time by a group of ne’er-do-wells known as The Hoard. These venomous villains have travelled to Craftworld from far, far away on speedy go-karts to seek out and steal its most precious prizes – and it’s up to you to stop them. So grip the steering wheel, put the pedal to the metal, and beat those Greedy Gregs back to where they came from!
We have chosen the top 10 videos of the LittleBigPlanet Karting commercial entries and want you to help decide who will take 2nd place. While the grand prize winner will be chosen by our expert judges, we want the LittleBigPlanet community to join the race and decide which video will win the $5,000 prize. The more popular you make a video, the better chance it has at winning!
Working with the rather brilliant Chimpanzee and his RocketCheetah blog, we are proud to announce that Tuesdays for LittleBigPlanet will now become #Queuesday.
What does this mean exactly? Every Tuesday, all you have to do is Tweet us @LittleBigPlanet with your favorite levels, and include those handy LBP.me links along with the #Queuesday hashtag.
That’s it — just share a bunch of your favorite levels with the rest of the LittleBigPlanet community on Twitter!
If we see a #Queuesday list that we like, and we retweet it from @LittleBigPlanet, then we’ll also send one of our popular LittleBigPlanet Caps your way for your Sackboy or Sackgirl, to show off their community spirit.
Following our LittleBigPlanet Cap Challenge last week to tweet @LittleBigPlanet with a screenshot of your Sackperson wearing the Launch Spacesuit in LittleBigPlanet 2 or LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, we put the word out that we would award further LittleBigPlanet Caps for anything tweeted our way that catches our eye.
And @LasseLund did just that! Presenting the LittleBigPlanet Nursery.
We were so blown away by the sheer awesomeness of this nursery that not only was Lasse awarded the LittleBigPlanet Cap, we also sent a Rare Prize Crown his way to commemorate this wonderful nursery that’s waiting for their new arrival!
The Pirates! Minipack Docks at the Store
This week will see the release of The Pirates! Minipack on PlayStation Store, containing a variety of costumes from The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
The Pirate Captain, Cutlass Liz and Black Bellamy will all be coming to LittleBigPlanet 2 and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita this week. Not forgetting that they will also be taking to the track too, when LittleBigPlanet Karting releases next month. Best of all, you only have to purchase The Pirates! Minipack once and you’ll have access to these costumes across all three games!

A LittleBigPlanet Karting TV spot is coming soon, and it will be created by you — the LittleBigPlanet community!
Starting today, we’re inviting you to create and submit a 25-second TV spot for LittleBigPlanet Karting, to share your excitement for the game with the world. To help you get started, we’ve prepared a whole bunch of goodies for you, including game music, video footage, and much more. All of these can be used in the creation of your entry. You’re not limited to what we’re providing though, so feel free to follow your creative instinct!
Once you’ve finished your masterpiece and sent it along to us, we will review all the submissions and choose our 10 favorites as finalists for the contest. At that point, it will be up to our wonderful community to vote on the TV spot they feel most deserves to win the grand prize: $25,000 and a slot on national broadcast television!
We start this week with an incredible contribution to the community from John Holtkamp, known to most by the name amazingflyingpoo .
Last week he released his brand new and totally free LittleBigHub App, which is a rather nifty little tool that will allow you to follow creators, queue levels and keep up-to-date with all the latest activity on LBP.me !
To check out this amazing application for yourself, head on over to LittleBigLand.com to see what LittleBigHub can offer you!
This isn’t the first time that we have featured amazingflyingpoo in Sack it to Me, in fact he’s contributed so much to the community that he has already been awarded both the Rare Prize Crown and the Awesomesauce Pin!
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita has gone gold!
This means that the game is now 100% complete — all that remains is for us to print off Sackboy’s new adventure and send it off to stores for release on September 25th!
