Nothing says summer (sunburn, too much chlorine, overpriced bad theme park food, etc…) like a good ol’ local water park! Do the ModNation a summertime favor and build us that themed waterpark of our (and your) dreams.

A Renaissance waterpark? How about a Western waterpark? An Outer Space waterpark?… the themes are pretty endless. Make us some cool (pun intended) waterpark tracks using the new DLC and they just might end up in Hot Lap or Top Tracks! DETAILS HERE.

MNR

I recently discovered a fun user-created track Meteor Base Attack by OnePoppa) only days after the release of the new Alien Invasion Mini-Theme DLC in which the following happened…

  • I jumped through the rear end of an alien space ship (always fun)
  • Avoided an alien ship shooting its destructive laser beam at me in hopes of frying my kart (succeeded)
  • Had a disembodied glass-enclosed alien head shooting fireworks at me from an Army tank
  • Escaped yet another alien spaceship trying to warp me up into its belly for who knows what “scientific reason” (this also happened in my early 20s)

modnation monday

In April we celebrated our two-millionth user-generated creation with the uber-successful ModNation-Palooza’s keyword searches. These searches revealed some amazing creations. Check them out here!

ps vita modnation

As most of you heard at the Sony Press Conference kicking off E3, we are proudly bringing the ModNation franchise to the much anticipated PlayStation Vita. It was a great opportunity to share with you all some of the things our team has in store for you.

The team has also made huge strides in creating a ground up effort to make a ModNation title that takes full advantage of the PlayStation Vita features. As mentioned in the Press Conference, this title is not a port of the PSP or PS3 sku’s. On the creation side, we showed that in a matter of seconds how fast and easy it is to create a track by drawing it with your finger. The front touch capability of the PS Vita has kicked the door wide open for more intuitive ways to edit your track and place props to your personal liking. But without a doubt, the single most element that received the most “Oooos and Aaaahs,” was the power of the back touch.
