Hello everyone! This is Rich Bantegui, aka @FilithieRich, Community Manager for Namco Bandai Games America. Many of you have been following me over the last year looking for the latest details on all of our games. This week, you may have also been listening into what we have happening on our Facebook and Twitter for news coming out of the Tokyo Game Show for big fan-favorite series like Tekken, Soulcalibur, Ace Combat and even the upcoming action-epic, Dark Souls.
While there’s plenty of news flying about for all of our biggest titles, we wanted the PlayStation community to be among the first to get the scoop on the latest entry in a series that’s dear to all of our hearts, and one that features the tiniest of heroes.
Hello! My name is Hisaharu “Heath” Tago, Producer for SoulCalibur V and a member of Namco Bandai Games’ Project Soul development team. I wanted to go over the SoulCalibur V news we announced at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con to the PlayStation.Blog and all of its fans.
SoulCalibur V (SCV for short) is a bit of a particular project. There are two main reasons for this: The first one is because Project Soul, the development team behind the SoulCalibur franchise, was disbanded after the release of SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP system. The members were spread throughout Namco Bandai Games to work on other projects within the company. Soon after that happened, Katsuhiro Harada, the Director of the TEKKEN series, called on SoulCalibur fans to speak up.
Fans of 2009’s PS3-exclusive RPG Demon’s Souls are sure to have questions about Dark Souls, which is being produced under the watchful eye of Demon’s Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki. Though the game was formally revealed just days ago, I had a rare opportunity to speak directly with Miyazaki about his plans for Dark Souls. We […]

You will be able to find it in the PlayStation mini section of the PSP system’s PlayStation Store for $4.99. We are excited to bring this title to the PlayStation family as it has certainly made an impression […]
It’s scientific fact: Adding pirates to anything increases its fun factor exponentially. It holds true for Time Crisis: Razing Storm, the new PlayStation Move arcade shooter collection that packs more play modes on one Blu-ray Disc than most games manage in three sequels – in this case, DeadStorm Pirates and Time Crisis 4. We caught […]
Hello again! Judging by the reactions we’ve had to our recently released demo of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, many of you are eager to join Trip and Monkey on their epic adventure this Tuesday, October 5th. Early reviews have been fantastic: Joystiq awarded Enslaved a 4.5 out of 5 and calls Enslaved “a fine […]
Hello everyone! My name is Laili Bosma from NAMCO BANDAI Games America, and I’m the Brand Manager for ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West. For the follow up to 2007’s Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, developer IO Interactive has decided to present the sequel from Lynch’s point of view. So what’s it like seeing the world through the eyes of a warped psychopath? About what you would expect—disturbing and occasionally disorienting. Qore presents a sneak peek at the frantic […]
