It’s officially October, which means our latest store promotion is in full swing. If you spend $100 this month you’ll receive a $20 PSN credit in November. Even better, if you already pre-ordered an October title last week, that money counts toward this promotion.
This week both NBA 2K13 and Resident Evil 6 are hitting the PlayStation Store the same day as retail. Remember, there are still a few titles you can pre-order to receive an exclusive theme and a discount if you’re a Plus member. In case you missed picking it up before, LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 is also available on the Store today.
Other goodies out today include Sonic Adventure 2, NiGHTS Into Dreams and PS2 classics Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon Special Edition and Ruff Trigger: The Vanocore Conspiracy. In terms of add-on content there are items available for Dead or Alive 5 and NBA 2K13.

The biggest full game releases this week are FIFA Soccer 13, which is available on PS3, PS Vita and PSP, Dead or Alive 5 and the digital version of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita. Starhawk and Mirror’s Edge round out the full game releases this week, and a couple of those classic collection bundles (namely Ratchet and Clank and inFamous) are hitting the store as well.
The PlayStation Store is offering a Day One Digital promotion for some of the hottest upcoming titles. NBA 2K13, Resident Evil 6, Dishonored, Assassin’s Creed III, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, 007 Legends and DOOM BFG Edition will all be available on the PlayStation Store day and date of their release. Select titles will be discounted for PlayStation Plus members, so be sure to check out all the details.

Borderlands 2 releases today, and we’ve got a copy here for you on the PlayStation Store. Team up with friends and start shooting and looting immediately. You can also purchase the Season Pass to get all DLC for less than you’d pay for them individually.
Jet Set Radio was available last week for PlayStation Plus members, but now it’s available for everybody to download. This week Plus members will receive a free dynamic Jet Set Radio theme, along with a free Double Dragon dynamic theme. Plus members also have access to a full game trial of SSX and some discounted Rock Band content.
If you love soccer, you’ll be happy to hear that you can now pre-order FIFA Soccer 13. Those who do will get an exclusive theme to spice up their dashboard. Also of note is the Resident Evil 6 demo – try it out before the game releases on October 2nd.

Besides the side-scrolling beat ‘em ups, Plus members also get early access to Jet Set Radio (it officially debuts next week) and at 10% off. Get it fast, because the discount is only during this early access week.
If you aren’t a Plus member, you can check out both Double Dragon Neon and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World via their demos to see if you like them. A couple PS3 Full Games hit the Store today — you’ll now find that both Max Payne 3 and FIFA Street are available, and that’s great news if you like shooting guns or soccer. Plus members also get a nice 33% discount on Max Payne 3, or 10% off of the Max Payne 3 bundle, which includes a Rockstar Pass.
As always, please leave your thoughts in the comments below. You can also chat about this update in the PlayStation Community Forums.

Braaaiiiiinnnssss. That’s right — Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead is out now! If you’re a Plus member and want to catch up on the series, you can download Episodes 1 and 2 free of charge as part of the Instant Game Collection.
There are lots of great PS2 classic titles available on the Store today, mainly of the Ratchet and Clank variety. The original, plus Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal are available. Oh, Insomniac, I see what you did there.
Music games don’t always need a bunch of plastic peripherals. Rock Band Blitz is a modified version of the rhythm games you know and love, but all you need is a controller. Blitz is very leaderboard-focused, so if you like proving to your friends that you’re the best, you should check out the demo.

This week is jam-packed with games of all shapes and sizes, so you’re bound to find something you like. If you’re a Transformers fan you’ll be happy to see that the latest retail offering, Fall of Cybertron, is available the day it launches – in other words, right now. If you’re wavering on whether or not to get it, the fact that you can make your own Transformer might help you decide. Seriously.
Let’s just say for argument’s sake that you hate robots (you monster), but love team-based shooters. You’re in luck. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is the newest iteration of the classic franchise, so regardless if you’re a retired pro or a beginner, now’s a good time to get involved in the community. It’s the last title in the PSN PLAY promotion, which also means that this is the last week to purchase games and earn PlayStation Store credit back. Read more about the event by clicking here.
Counter Strike isn’t the only classic to get revived this week – Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD are now available for individual purchase. These games are available for download on both PS3 and the PS Vita stores.

Our PSN PLAY promotion is coming to an end with one of the most beloved classics of all time: Counter Strike. CS: Global Offensive is available for pre-order for $14.99 or $11.99 for PlayStation Plus members. Those who pre-order receive a static theme, and the more PSN PLAY opportunities you take advantage of, the more credit you’ll receive to use on other items in the PlayStation Store.
Papo & Yo, last week’s PSN PLAY game, is now available on the PlayStation Store. A fantasy adventure game, Papo & Yo has been lauded for its emotional subject matter and puzzle-centric gameplay. If you’re curious about this indie darling, there’s a free demo available, so you can try before you buy.
The PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection is getting a boost this week with both Outland and BloodRayne: Betrayal joining the lineup.
