Just think – one week ago today we were getting ready to delve into our second PlayStation Experience in San Francisco! For all of you who attended or watched live online, thank you! It’s an honor and pleasure to share so many incredible games with the people that appreciate them the most: PlayStation fans.
Hi gang — today we’re announcing that Times Square’s 45,000-square foot, 2,150-capacity concert and special events venue has officially been renamed PlayStation Theater.
Where were you 20 years ago?
I was in Tokyo, already enjoying my PlayStation as it had launched over nine months earlier in Japan, December 3, 1994, and I am sure I was still chasing the final black racer in Ridge well into 1995. By the time the PlayStation launched in North America on 9/9/95, I was splitting my time between Tekken and Battle Arena Toshinden and trying to get a US copy of ESPN Street Games (incidentally, the first game I worked on at SCEI to localize for the Japanese market.)
Here we go! We are mere hours from the big show. Whether you’re watching live here, on PlayStation.com, via Twitch or YouTube, or on your PS4 or PS3 using the Live Events Viewer application, you can follow along live starting at 6:00pm Pacific Time. You won’t want to miss it!
