This Wednesday, April 18th, exclusive x7 perks continue as more early-access items will roll out, Lockwood shares another sneak peek at their upcoming Sodium 2 update and releases some adorable new safari-inspired companions, and a new, vibrant collection from Konami Raver clothing gets ready to light up the night.
x7 Early Access Update—Members of x7 will gain early access to several new items this week including a not-so-furry Robotic Cat Companion and Active Item bundled together, some “meta”-physical auras from the four elements Flame, Aqua, Earth and Air, and more. First thing Wednesday morning, head to x7 to pick up these new items.
Attn: Sodium 2 racers! PlayStation Home’s exclusive hyper-speed futuristic racing game will receive a huge update this week with new rewards, rivalries and explosive launch boosts. Beginning on Thursday, November 24th, players will be able to unlock up to 28 unique rewards by reaching new XP levels in Sodium 2 (those of you’ve who’ve already made it to the top of the game will also be rewarded these items upon entering the Sodium 2 launch grid). We’re also excited to introduce the new Rivals system, which expands your multiplayer experience by allowing you to go head-to-head against any other player in the scene as well as the last 20 players you’ve challenged in multiplayer mode – no friends list required. Finally, we’ve added another way for you to gain an advantage over your opponents with the Sodium 2 Launch Boost system. Time things right and you’ll receive an explosive boost off the starting grid allowing you to surge ahead of your competitors and seize the lead!
The final phase of the Turkey Chase game will be released in Pier Park this week. This classic game pits players against a horde of wily turkeys in a cat and mouse chase complete with brand new rewards. Catch them all, you will unlock Thanksgiving-themed rewards that are sure to make you an object of envy amongst your peers. Celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday in true PlayStation Home style with this ridiculous(ly fun) game!
We’re excited to announce a new program called “Only On PSN,” which features brand new games that are exclusively available on PlayStation Network throughout October. Every week starting tomorrow, October 4, you will find new titles, unique to PSN that are part of this program – games that you’ve likely read about here on the PlayStation Blog, or seen during our showing at E3 2011. You may recall our announcement a few months ago about investing $20 million in exclusive PSN titles, and the Only On PlayStation Network program showcases two titles spawning from this investment: Eufloria and Okabu.
We can’t wait for you to get your hands on the Only On PSN games yourselves, so we’re giving you a few special offers throughout the course of the program.
This Thursday, September 8th will see a new Resistance 3 space invade Home, bringing its own public space complete with mini-games, rewards and more. What better way to celebrate the launch of Insomniac’s well-reviewed shooter than to suit up, win some rewards, and deck out your personal space with the spoils of war?
Home is also updating several core spaces, including Central Plaza (check it for a heavy surprise), and arcade cabinets for the Theater.

The Dead Island Total Game Integration continues in PlayStation Home as the third and final wave of the zombie horde is unleashed this week. The Velocity Racing League enters a new phase this Thursday with the Sodium 2 Nemesis Update. With the start of the Nemesis stage of the Velocity Racing League a new challenge awaits you in the form of a new track (complete with reverse mode) – Wasteland Spires!
A public service announcement from Lockwood Publishing: Sodium 2 has seen its 3 millionth race! This means that Sodium 2 players have collectively traveled more than 75% of the way from the Earth to the Sun. In recognition of this amazing achievement, Lockwood Publishing is unlocking new Reverse Mode tracks in Sodium 2 this week. Head to the Sodium 2 launch grid on Thursday, July 28th to tear it up on your new tracks!
You may have seen the teaser posters placed throughout PlayStation Home that show a variety of mech silhouettes. This Thursday, these incredibly awesome MechJet costumes will finally be available from the Sodium store in the PlayStation Home Mall. The impending holiday weekend is the perfect time to log into PlayStation Home and play Sodium 2 – the adrenaline-soaked futuristic racer that is taking the world of PlayStation Home by storm.
