Hello again! We do hope you’ve been enjoying our Behind the Scenes Tearaway mini-series. For the fourth video in our little collection, we wanted to show you why this papery platforming adventure really couldn’t have been made for any other device or console. On your quest to help iota or atoi deliver their very special message to you, you’ll solve perplexing puzzles with the tilt; defeat your enemies with the front touch pad; capture and customize your journey together with the front and rear cameras and microphone; and, best of all, reach into the game with the rear touch pad. It truly is a “hands-in” experience (sorry).
Tearaway is out in just over a week and we can’t wait for you to play it! To get you even more excited, take a little peek at the third video in our series looking at all the bits and bobs that make Tearaway the unique and special thing that it is. This one will tell you all about the splendid sounds and music we made especially for the game, including a completely bespoke original score.
Hi everyone! I’m back with the second video in our series, taking a look at Tearaway and the things that we think make it special (the first came out last week). This new video is all about the paper Tearaway is made from, and the papercraft models that you’ll be able to make once the it comes out. It also details http://tearaway.me, which will be the community site for the game where all your in-game photos and papercraft plans will be stored and shared from. The site isn’t live yet, but it will be soon, so watch that space!
After weeks of hard work and hundreds of levels submitted, we can now announce the winners of the LittleBigPlanet Tearaway Competition! So without further ado, here are the results!
Even though Tearaway is a single-player game — a personal journey shared by you, and your little messenger friend, iota or atoi — we couldn’t resist giving Tearaway players the chance to express themselves creatively. We’ve already talked at length about the oodles of papercraft models you can collect as you play through the game, but there are also in-game challenges that will allow you to personalize the world as you travel through it.
Tearaway is about going on an adventure. It’s a very personal journey between two people: you, and your new messenger friend. If you’re going on an adventure, you’re likely going to see lots of amazing things, and you’ll probably want to tell people about them. That’s why we gave Iota and Atoi their own cameras!
