2007 Game Critics Award
In case you haven’t seen this yet, the E3 2007 Game Critics Award winners were released earlier today. For those of you unfamiliar with the Game Critics, it’s a collection of independent journalists that cover the videogame industry. And, in their words:

“These awards recognize the games that will shape the future of interactive entertainment, as demonstrated via hands-on playable form at the 2007 E3 Media and Business Summit”

We here at SCEA wanted to extend a quick congrats to all those nominated, especially the people behind the PlayStation games that were recognized this year; in particular, the teams at Media Molecule for Little Big Planet which won “Best Original Game” and at Guerilla Games for Killzone 2 which earned “Special Commendation for Graphics.” Congratulations all!

It’s pretty obvious that both are so caught up in your ” Sony Fanboyism” that you will make up anything to defend the PS3. The diffrence is that i have both systems and i don’t mind taking about what bad in gaming about any system. As you two idoits seem to think that i have a one track mind and that i’m all about xbox360 witch happens to be the best system out there thats a FACT. I have the PS3 and i like it but it’s not showing anything mindblowing yet.And i have not found one moment were i have been bored with my xbox360 unlike my PS3 that the only time i turn that thing on is to pop in a Blu-Ray movie. And what i wrote is the truth. There is no advance ram in the PS3 just becaue it’s made to work with the cell does make it advance lol, All the PS3 has is cell and blu-ray and theres nothing wrong with that, But go ahead and keep cheerleading and swinging your pom poms instead of playing games witch is what i’m all about the games.

Since we’re talking fanboyism let’s have a look at your bias. You’re supporting a system which has only now been redesigned so that one third to one half of the consoles made don’t die. It’s taken microsoft THIS LONG to repair their damn console.

I say one third to one half because the accepted numbers are 33 return rate but that’s not considering the number of people running a 360 and experiencing crashing but not system death (like me).

Maybe you’re lucky enough to have a flawless sytems but if that’s the case then you’re probably beating the odds. If you’ve REALLY never had a freeze or a crash on your 360 i envy you.

But you said you’re all about the games so lets look at that. I remember the 360 being scarce on games back in 2006 when i picked it up. I got it for Oblivion and there was a long drought after that where nothing was released. From a development perspective, Sony is performing exactly as the 360 was.

Online gaming? Sony is free and the 360 isn’t. Xbox live is better than Sony’s online support? Well there’s the upcoming innovation of Home which has thoroughly impressed me. It manages to take most of the better features of Xbox live and mesh them with a MMOG.

Then there’s the Playstation Eye which will mirror many of the functions of the Wii. Full body motion awareness with a built in background noise cancelling mic. Add to that the voice recognition potential and you’re looking at an impressive little device. No more headsets.

What has Microsoft done lately? the keyboard add-on for the controller?

We’re just starting to see the development of games that are outstripping the Dvd format. Id softwares Rage will fit on 1 blu ray disc or 2 Dvds. Do you want to start playing around with your 360 drive(in game) considering the lawsuits for gouged discs?

If Microsoft had taken the time to ensure the release of their console was flawless, then i’d be on your side but they didn’t.
