MotorStorm Devil’s Weekend

MotorStorm Devil's Weekend
More bone-crunching offroad goodness you say?

That’s right race fans, MotorStorm will be releasing new content….we just keep it coming. The team doesn’t mind working late nights and weekends as long as our consumers our happy.

On November 8th, a new server Update 3.0 patch will become available, as will new Devil’s Weekend downloadable content on the PSN Store.

First things first – what’s in the server Update 3.0 patch? Well we’ve added support for the DUALSHOCK 3 controller with adjustable sensitivity settings, and we’ve added sensitivity settings for SIXAXIS Motion Sensor control. Also, finishing position from the last race now determines your starting grid position in the next race within the same online lobby. Oh, and the grid order is completely randomized for the first race in any online lobby.

Last but definitely not least, don’t forget to check out the PSN Store for our new downloadable content, Devil’s Weekend. With this new pack, you get 4 new tickets containing 10 races (no time for sleeping). Check out the five new vehicles and one special unlockable vehicle – each one available with three new skins.

Don’t worry about the new content being called Devil’s Weekend, you only need to sell your soul to the devil at the crossroads if you want to be an expert at the course. No one said getting good at MotorStorm was easy.

We are also including a little belated Halloween treat by including a vehicle with a Halloween skin available to everyone when you update to the new server patch. It’s always nice to get something free every now and then.

Enjoy your long days and sleepless nights playing MotorStorm.

Felice, SPLITSCREEN. For the love of God please make it finally happen. Also I live in Japan but there are no global servers so I can not play my friends in other countries. Every other game I have has global servers. There were only 3 racers online on the Motorstorm J server last time I logged in. 3!

whats up with all this whining!?, sony are doing a an excellent job as are all the games makers who are continually supporting their games with all these lovely updates, patches, upgrades, maps, fixes etc, i feel they’re all doing the best to listen to whatever problems we encounter in our games and coming up with fixes as soon as possible, yeah i know some take longer than we’d like – but thats just the way it is. I feel the next 9 years are gonna be pretty damn special for the PS3!.

Keep On Rollin Sony!

Ive been fairly sceptical about this new update, it was a total let down, but now i have it, it does feel like theres a more complete experience, BUT this isnt a precedent, i want the next one to have XMB access.
(I hope you have some bright ideas for the PS network tab, its just the store and account management atm and seems unessecary)

Credit Cards and their company’s suck, i won’t get a credit card as long as visa and mastercard suck the market dry.

If this content is released in the PSN Store today, how would one consider it a cover-up to get the XMB whiners to shut up?

Seems right to post a blog to tell everyone about the content and patch they are releasing.

Great stuff Sony, ignore this vocal minority. Just a bunch of kids with nothing to worry about in their lives other than video games.

Sweet! I just bought MotorStorm and have been more than pleased…this is icing on the cake!

Yeah…i’m sure they never planned on having this today for the update in the first place. This is a cover up for not having in game xmb…what kind of stupid crap is that? They’ve been improving on their store almost if not every week, and Motorstorm being one of their best launch titles is the reason why this is on this blog. Cover up…wow.

@ 2…I agree, not a fan of DLC. We paid for the full game experience and got only partial in return.

@ 6…Good idea a little too late however lets get Motorstorm 2 purchased via download like Warhawk.

Please stop the price gouging on the Canadian store, I don’t think anybody appreciates paying 30% more than US citizens for this update if you do the exchange rate. It’s getting ridiculous here.

Please address the pricing disparity when purchasing content from Canada. I would buy the DLC but I am not paying a dollar premium because I am on the northern side of some imaginary line.

How do I know if the downloaded weekend pack was installed? I have 21 tickets in total and nothing that says devil’s weekend. Am I missing something?
I tried to install it twice and I made sure I had the update installed first before downloading the pack.
