I was going to post an angry message about why the PC store gets crap every other week, but what’s the point. No one that matters will answer or even red this post.
Why even have a blog if only one person (Jeff) replies?
Final Fantasy VII – The last time I played this game was when I was in the tenth grade in the summer of 98′. It was my second foray into the RPG genre and a very enjoyable one. It’s been a long while since I played this old gem and I wouldn’t mind playing it again.
So give us fans a final fantasy (Final Fantasy VII) to remember or… …I guess I can daydream that one day I’ll be downloading FFVII and playing it on my PSTriple in fantasy land forever dreaming that PSN will give us this PS1 classic title.
For god’s sake Sony, the update is ok, but where are the PS1 games? You should be putting out 5-10 a week, not one every other week. The PS1 had a huge great library, so advertise it! I really think it would be a good idea as well to put the PS2 Greatest Hits on the PlayStation Store. You could charge less than their disc based counterparts to help encourage PS2 owners to upgrade to the PS3. It wouldn’t hurt to have cult classics like Beyond Good & Evil and Killer 7 as well. Change the layout of the store, while its cleaner than XBLA, it still is clunky. The whole mouse web page system isn’t great, we should be using the d-pad to navigate much faster than we are right now. The only thing I’ve really been compelled to buy week after week are Rock Band tracks. For anyone that does not own this marvelous game, I imagine this was quite a boring update.
yeah im not complaining, because well sony…you dont charge me for online…so i could care less if you dont update your store every week. but i’ve had a psp for a couple years now, and i’ve heard about ps1 games on the psp from you for pretty much the same amount of time and what we have 12 ps1 games…where are some of the classics? resident evil, rayman, gt 1 and 2, hell even a gta1 or 2, a mgs,etc there so many games i would buy at 5.99 to play on my ps3 and psp….but oh well i guess ill go play some unreal, uncharted, warhawk…poor me

I’m sorry you think I’m whining each week about the update… I know Sony guys are doing hard work, but honestly, I just want to be (maybe) heard. Where else I could hope for that but here.
But don’t worry about the “whining”, I will stop complain about the update. But be sure that the next update that I will be “satisfied”, I will make it a duty to congrats sony :)
As for the Canadian pricing, plese take a look at it that way. Let’s say I’m a big fan of Motorstorm and I would like to get all the add-ons avalible. All together, they wil cost me about 26$ which are added to the 59$ I paid for the game. On that 26$, I will have to pay (as all my fellow Canadian PS3 owners) about 7$ more than you (there is 7 add-ons if I’m right). To that you add the 15% tax for a rounded total of about 8$.
If you consider all the Canadian PS3 owners and all the content of the PS Store. Do the maths… No, you don’t need to, it’s prety obvious that it’s guiving Sony a sh*t load more money
And since CAN currency is almost equal to the US currency, I hope you’ll agree with me that is prety darn unfair for us.
So Daver, next time you’ll see a comment from me in the weekly update post, it will be a positive one :) No offence taken :)

…But where are the PS1 games?! The Japanese Playstation Store has a truck load! What happened to the US?
What i cant understand is sony owns movies and music rights with there other branches. Also sony has a huge back cataloge of ps1 and ps2 games. Why is there so little content compared to your competitors. Why does one of your competitors have a DEMO FOR EVERY SINGLE GAME on the service. I just cant understand why your ps1 and 2 classics at least dont have demos, in addition to your exclusives like calling all cars. You guys have alot of work to do.

Sry i didnt want to sound like a jerk but im sick of people only complaining…
I understand your point about canadian dollars, im canadian myself but the dollar is not very stable lately and i think now its a little under the US dollar.. Sony dosnt want to lose money so they keep it a little over the US price (they wont adjust the price every week of everything they have in store) so i think its normal until the CAN dollar raise up to more than like 0.01$ of difference between the 2 countries

They’re working on the damn in-game xmb, and who the hell asked for a Warhawk demo?!? The closest to a Warhawk demo was joining the beta testing.
I’m convinced that if Sony gave people money they would still complain about having to “use it” or some other nonsence.
I’m going to concur with most people that I liked the update but wish there was more PS1 games. I understand there are issues with putting the games on and they take some time to transfer but seriously, how many does Japan have now? I’d purchase FFVII right now if it showed up.

Trust me and just do yourself a favor and buy Warhawk… This game is great fun as long as you don’t mind a game that has absolutely no single player mode — unless you consider setting up a LAN game and flying around on your own to be fun. :D
The game is a 3rd person POV shooter with vehicles. You can duck behind things and the game mechanics work perfectly. If you’ve ever played the star wars games it’s kinda like that, but faster and with much better visuals. Check out videos and reviews all over the net — it’s a must have game for the Sony PS3. Enjoy.

The “Information Board” text is way too hard to read (with a lighter background installed) even in 720p resolution!

Alright everyone needs to shut the [DELETED] up and stop complaing whres the in game xmb ect…. yeah sony should of had this along time when they launched it but they [DELETED] up I must say with no in game xmb it gets annoying everytime your playing a game you get a message and you half to quit the game to read it witch is stupid also with the games coming out it would be nice that we could actaully listen to the music that we like instead of listening to emo no name music that they put in so many games like nhl 08 burnout paradise exct….. also id like to see a better selection of stuff added into the ps store like more ps1 games good demos more wallpapers themes and like people are saying if the japan store can get more demos ps1 games exct….. then so can the north american stores so get your act together sony and give us a better variety of things

I agree with you about the instability of the Canadian dollar, But what I think Sony could do to be fair would be (at least for US and CAN PS Store) to sell their games un US dollar. That way, I would probably pay less when the CAN dollar is higher. But I could be wrong… maybe credit card are charging more for “currency conversion” than the extra dollar. Anyway, I don’t think it will keep me awake in the night (sorry, I tried to translate a French-Canadian saying :) I don’t even know if it makes sens in english :) )

If Microsoft can have xmb we can too and it could be alot better.
