I don’t know why Sony has stopped with the PS1 games. Maybe Sony wants to built a list of upcoming of PS1 games and release them all at once? The ESRB list is growing with upcoming PS1 games that have yet to be released on PSN. I am hoping that next month when the playstation store gets changes that Sony brings these games like Rayman, Wipeout XL, Castlevania Chronicles, Street Fighter Alpha, Blood Omen:Legacy of Kain that are on the list.

  • I, too, would like to know why Sony is dragging their feet in releasing PSone games, when Japan has so many already..

Does it take that long to translate the games or something? I mean, don’t we already have the North American Localized versions done already, since they were already released years ago?

    Jeff or Grace!

any info at all as to whyhardly any PSone games? PLEASE?

  • PS1 games, where are they? I go to the ESRB website and see games like Rayman, Street Fighter Alpha, and Castlevania Chronicles for PS3 and PSP in the database.

It’s been more than a month since we’ve seen a PS1 game on the store. Get with the program Sony.

  • nice update, but can u plz not delete the old demos of the store

  • @102

To be fair. Japan is sort of special case. Pretty much PSOne games are the only thing the PS3 owners in Japan having going for them. They have one or two big PS3 releases a quarter. Most of the JRPGs and Japanese targeted games have moved to the 360, Wii/PS2, handhelds. i.e. All those PSOne releases are a stop gap measure to address the serious lack of content for Japanese PS3 owners.

  • if they are like saving a bunch of PS1 games for a massive release im gonna [DELETED] myself lol and ill be pissed to cuz i prolly wont have enough money to get all the games i want all at one time :D but the idea is a definite possibility i never thought about that with april updates coming up

  • I have a question, When is the psp going to see some new content? The store has a lot of old stuff and I want to see a GTA IV PSP Theme!

  • WHY ISN’T A PS1 GAME ON THE UPDATE? Please Sony, release a new PS1 game every week, like Nintendo does every week (Virtual Console), and Microsoft does every week (Live Arcade). How hard is it?

  • Will the U.S. be getting Metal Gear Solid on the PSN like Japan?

  • DMC 4 OFFICIAL THEME PLEASE!!!!

  • Nice, hope home come out soon.

  • I don’t see the PSP NeoPets game available for download on the PS3 PlayStation store…

  • This is really an update. You did an excellent job this week. Thank you sou much!

  • Patapon for PS3 please!!!!

Devil May Cry 4 official theme plase and I’ll love you 4ever…… Thanks

  • I’d rather see some new PlayStation 1 games available for download but this is a good store update nonetheless.

  • Man.. its been 3 – 4 weeks without a decent demo.. only boring ones like MLB baseball and all which i am not interesting in.. what happened to Lair demo, Dark Sector demo, Vikings demo or some PS2 demos? Since the PLAYSTATION magazine is no more cause PS3 has PSN and could download demos from it.. the PSN has been kinda poor uploading stuff they should be uploading.. and man.. have to get them every Thursday.. well.. I don’t have a problem which day it releases stuff but sometimes I wanna play a demo before I buy.. I don’t want to waste my money on something dat I didn’t actually like.. =_= a few of my friends own a PS3 so a few of them have lesser games than me and one of them have a lot of games as me and some are da same games.. heh.. but man.. I bought a PS3 cuz I love PLAYSTATION its da best gaming console that I ever loved… after I ditched Nintendo… (sorry Nintendo.. ur games is all fun.. but PLAYSTATION games are unique with fun games, serious games and many more… not to mention the intense graphics ..and its technology.. well.. I just hope Sony makes the PSN better than before and upload stuff they should upload for consumers.. but of course it all depends on the gaming company who makes the games and decides whether they will provide a demo or not.. =_= (if they want us to buy their games then they need to make a demo)
