@spearhead31’s comment: As a customer you have to sometimes yell and threaten the powers that be to get some new or get something done, now if we did piss them off and they in turn did not give us good updates anymore and we complained enough to Sony guess whos ass would be in a sling then not us. Its a common law of Supply and demand really, we have a demand and they do have the supply why they are not giving to those screaming for it is odd to say the least.

Another thing about 2.4 firmware it will be here on June 20, according to the calendar is the first official day of Summer. Sony did they to see it by Summer 2008 and it looks like they were right.

not a bad update… quake should be sick… does anyone know if mgs4 is gunna get a demo.. i have to wait till next week to buy the game and the suspense is killing me
if ever there was a reason to go out and buy a new brd game, it’s this weeks update. 1 lame ps1 game, i agree with everyone that has said MGS1 would have been a stellar idea. no new psn games whatsoever. fatal inertia anyone? wipeout hd, ssf hd? 1 demo of a game thats been torn to shreads in every review i’ve read.
one question, i saw some of the gamers day footage from another land, WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE SUPERSTAR DUST HD TEAM PACK? me want now.
James I know. The Con is still cheaper on Amazon.com then on the PC PSP store that’s why I included it.

Considering how substantial last week’s update was, I was pretty surprised to see this much content immediately following, good job! I was in the Quake Wars beta on the PC, so I’m interested to see how well it got ported over to the PS3.
Ha! I actually almost entirely forgot there was an update today, what with the MGS4 excitement. You guys should have put this off for when people were paying attention. Though, I do thank you for the Resistance 2 trailer- I haven’t actually seen it, but you reminded me that it’s being shown tomorrow! Love you guys! (In a platonic sense- don’t be getting any ideas.)

This is a nice update. But a it falls a bit short on the media train that almost always hits PSN with a crap load of media updates like BD trailers, and movies, as well as game trailers is also lacking.
Next time some more Killzone2 content, as well as some Resistance:2 content would be nice, and if you could please get some more Themes that are from other games it would rock.

James, you’re trying to find things that arn’t there.
I’m fairly sure the increase is due to retailers making a stink about being undercut. So Sony decided to increse the download price instead of decreasing the Retail price.
Making the download price Higher then retail makes no sense though.
Seriously though I would prefer to buy the downloadable version over the disk based version of certain games. I have an 8gb memory stick. But there is no way I’m paying MORE for a digital copy.

I rated this 4/5 because you FINALLY released another PS1 game although with already owning 2 better iterations of this franchise on the PSP, I won’t be downloading it. I’m hoping there won’t be another 2 month wait before you decide to release another one… but there probably will be.
Yeah, I thought for sure we were getting MGS on the psn to coincide with MGS4…thats a let down, I wanna play MGS on my psp somethin awful.
Well regardless, I have to congratulate Sony for finally putting out another PS1 classic, Is it beyond the realm of possibility to get like 2 or 3 a month?? I also wonder if it had anything to do with the stink we made about the last update or two. Hmm.
I wanna check out the MGS4 theme too, I bet its fresh to death. Keep plugging along Sony, things are looking bright..
@Krae_man: Take it easy now ok, I get what you are saying, The DL price being higher then a retail disc version makes no sense unless you are getting something that the reatil disc does not have then I see the logic.

Can Sony please update the web browser so that we can view sites such as gametrailers.com properly. The browser needs an updated flash player. This has been an issue for us gamers for a long time and you guys at Sony would not even say something about this matter. So what is the deal with this half functional browser that Phill Harrsion spoke so wondrous about. It is not functioning properly. Could a representative shed some light on the PS3 web browser and why it functions so badly and do we expect this problem to be addressed. Thank you.

Not a bad update, though I can’t complain if there is a ton of content as last weeks because my time will be filled with MGS4. I will have to check Syphon out for some lunch time play at work.
There is no good reason for Konami to want MGS on the PSN classics list when they would prefer you go out and buy it in the bundle with MGS2 and 3—at least it’s only $30.
SCEA, thanks for a PS1 game release. Now try and do it weekly, so you can get to those games that I actually want. INTELLIGENT QUBE! It’s your own freakin’ game! Just toss it on there. Oh, and where’s Castlevania Chronicles? The ESRB rated it forever ago.

Always nice to see a PS1 game on the store, although japan did get 6 this week.
Also, I seriously want to buy stuff, but the Playstation cards still aren’t out. It’s ridiculous that the 360 and Wii had their cards out at launch, but the PS3 hasn’t gotten them within it’s first year and a half. Please, get them on store shelves.

The reason there is no flash 9 in the browser is because Adobe hasn’t released a flash 9 sdk. This is the same deal with the Opera browser on the wii. Sony has no control over this. There is a flash lite sdk that goes up to flash 8, but from what I understand, it’s catered mostly for mobile phones, not game consoles.
Always good to see more game music available to download, starting to have quite the archive there!
I think I will just buy Syphon Filter online and wait for it in the mail instead of downloading to my memory stick but it is nice to have more options.
Is the MGS4 theme the same as the Japanese theme? That one isn’t too great…. :(

Perhaps that is why the PSP is stuck at what, flash play 5? An update for that is also overdue, doubt it will ever happen though.

An excellent update, with a little bit of everything! Except for in the case of videos, which there are a plethora of including the MGS4 theatrical trailer.
This and last weeks update were two strong updates, even though last weeks downloadable games weren’t the best, but I really don’t get why (besides immature complaining) these updates have gotten such low scores.
