a 3/5 cause there’s no PS1 classics? they’re giving you multiple demos. videos out the @$$ and you’re crying about old PS1 classics?

they’ve said time and time again they are not focusing on re-releasing old games. they’re focusing on new games and new experiences. just go hit the bargain bin at EB games and get over it already.

  • @53
True, but Sony also says they listen to the customers and what their fans have to say, this is not the case when we are on the topic of PS1 games…just not the case.

  • @#38

    hey…i know you…

you’re the guy that said BioShock wasn’t coming to the PS3. and that MGS4 was going to the Xbox360. and that the PS3 would never have rumble again or in-game XMB. that’s you right?

    right. be gone fanboy.

  • @44 Mykevermin

Well said, but I have to say… 4 demos man? when was the last time PSN got 4 demos at once?… I think Sony America has bigger things to worry about than every little thing we North Americans want, otherwise our constant cries for psOne classics wouldn’t go unheard, I’m willing to bet it’s something to do with defending against corporate sabotage, etc. I know this statement seems somewhat to contradict my previous comment of 5-10 mins ago, but I felt it neccessary seeing as the last thing Sony probably needs in majority is constant incessant reminders from synical, reverse psychology using fans like yourself.

  • @52

Thats what I said! See, Sony? I AM speaking for everyone! Whatsamattawit you? I am not gonna take it, and neither is Ken Lanz Joinya!
Mamma Mia! Here we go again! My my, why did you take it off?

  • @ 53 i get what he saying but also where you are coming from they are giving us great content after great content but i would also like to see some PS1 classic like resident evil 1 and 2

  • @supersnake
I think you clicked on the wrong site.Teamxbox is what you are looking for. What are you doing trolling on a playstation blog?

  • @54

they listened to the question and answered quite clearly. they weren’t going to focus on that right now.

    next question?

  • @58

i completely agree. i’d like to see RE 1 and Final Fantasy 7 and Road Rash added to the PSN too. what i’m saying is they responded on this blog and said they weren’t focusing on that right now so all i’m saying is rating a great update low because of something they already said wasn’t coming makes no sense.

there are few old PS1 games i wouldn’t mind seeing but they said they’re not coming right now. so why keep whining and rating good news low over it? feel me?

  • I have to somewhat agree with supersnake.

I think it is just as fair to state constructive criticism as a PS3 supporter as it is to state praise.

    Here’s the praise:
“In-game XMB…. great job, much needed. Highly anticipated and very, very, very worthwhile to have with the system”

    Here’s the constructive criticism:
“It took you long enough.. really :).. and oh.. don’t go resting on your laurels, you still have a long road in front of you to catch up with your competitor. But don’t forget, you are not alone, your fans are with you Sony. Keep them in the loop and for God’s sake… listen to what they have to say… good, bad or indiferrent”

    Desi Out.

  • to KenLanzJr

hopefully you can read post 61 and see my point. if i came at you wrong or wasn’t clear in what i was saying i apologize.

    peace.

  • @60

Yeah your not listening to me. I understand they are trying to focus more on this gen. But Sony prides themselves on taking their fans advice and this is not the case with the PS1 games. Hey, i dont even play alot of PS1 games, but it is evident that alot of people want them. Why do you think they gave us 2.4? Because everyone complained about it. In the walkthrough videos Lempel goes on and on about how these are “user requested” features and how Sony listens to its customers. All im saying is that is not the case for PS1 games. Next correction?

  • Only one word can describe this update……………..Weak

REQUESTED FEATURES -not part of comment-:
    InGame XMB for PS2/PS1/DVD/Bluray
40 GIG BC with PS2 games
    Fix Battery Indicator over Clock
Music Playback from Network and USB ingame
    USB Toaster Attachment

  • @63
No hard feelings, i think Sony is going in the rite direction, but there definantley is a want for more classics.

  • @ 61 i fully agree with what you just said but i always rate on the content on whats there so i gave it a 5 i get what your are talking about

  • @60:

  • I’m really upset that Siren isn’t being released on Bluray in the US :o(

  • @68

wtf is “rivalize?” and again…if you hate Sony so much…why are you reading and obviously tracking their blog?

  • @ bigfnrabbit – I suggest you stop or they will bann you from being able to leave comments.

  • @82

I can find PSN Cards at Meijer right now. I even purchased them (my article is on PS3 Fanboy, Kotaku, etc.).

Anyway, pretty good update. Good selection of demos.

  • anything speical for E3??

  • Love the demos…
Really wanted to try out Caspian..

    But yea…seriously…
    I want the Team Add-on for SSHD…
    Where it at?

  • Good update, however it would have been a lot (and I really mean LOT) better if there were at least one classic RPG PS1 game

We’ve been asking for this since months, yet we are to get a decent old RPG PS1 game

  • Where is the SSHD TEAM PACK ADD ON? Jeez can we atleast get an answer.

  • @90 You are an idiot, typing in all caps isn’t gonna get anyone from Sony to respond to you.

You are a crybaby. WAA WAA Where’s my SSHD expansion?! Waa Waa, I can’t get all my silly trophies without it.

Did you ever think there may be a problem with it? That maybe that in conjunction with 2.4 was the issue?

Relax. It’ll be back sooner or later. Then you can get your imaginary trpohies.

Sony could at least give us an update on it.

    WAAA WAAHHHHHH!

  • 4 demos in one update!! Holy cow! How can anyone complain about that?!?!

  • @ 100 – Your post is classic! I wish I can post you for truth! I wish Sony was able to curse these idiots out, jeesh!

  • Just demos it better then nothing like last week. No PSP love where the PS1 games for it. Japan has over 100 PS1 game for their PSP and still growing. And what we only got 20 PS1 games. There is really no love for the PSP. Japan has all the best games for their PSP. Whats taking so long in getting more PS1 games to the PS Store. Not only that there is no love for the PSP on the PS Store, even there is hardly any UMD based game releases that is worth to buy. Is the PSP going to die out by the end of the year. I don’t want that to happen I love my PSP. Please get more PS1 games on the PS store.
