  • i’m just sitting back laughing shaking my head wondering what Sony’s feelings are when they read half this stuff.

good update again. thanks for the demos and free Rainbow add on (i heard Xbox is charging for).

keep up the good work and keep the improvements coming.

  • @ BabeBro

I could care less if they bann me as they do not answer any legitamate questions WHERE IS THE SUPERSTARDUST CO OP PACK AS IT IS READY SINCE I HAVE 3 FRIENDS ON MY PS3 WHO WERE LUCKY ENOUGH YO GET IT WHEN IT FIRST WENT UP ON A TUESDAY I MIGHT ADD SCREW THIS FIRE JEFF AND GRACE AS THEY DO NOT DO THEIR JOBS IN ANSWERING QUESTIONS GO WORK AT 7-11 WHERE U CAN SLACK OFF AND DO NO WORK

  • Wipeout HD ? where? before the 21st September (end of summer)?

  • @ 105 – and do you think flooding the blog is going to get you what you want?

  • oh yeah and if anyone thinks demos and trailers and rock band songs are a good update then theres something wrong with u as this and most updates are crap i buy almost everything off their cheesy ghost town store 56 games to be exact and also have 26 ps3 games with all or any of the downloads for them so sony u are close to losing a customer which u dont care about and i already have a 360 and wii and my ps3 gets the most love because its my favorite and my 360 has died 3 times now from rrod and the wii is for my 5 year old daughter and girlfriend!

  • @ 107

doesnt really make adifference as they dont read it!

  • buddy, it makes a difference, you’re becoming a pain in the arse. Please. I’d like to ask you politely to relax.

There might be an issue with it as someone mentioned and it could be released shortly. Not only have you been whining in caps all the time, but you keep calling out staff members, confronting them in a really rude way that will only get you banned.

Which you said you didnt care, but this is just not the appropiate way to ask for something. Yelling and cursing will not do the trick, you dont seem to realize that they know people want it fixed, so why post and moan about it every chance you get?

  • @ 100

imperium theres nothing wrong wiyh it as i have 3 friends who have it and the trophy and if there is something wrong answer the question and ill cease on the posting

  • @ 110

isnt this blogs purpose to answer questions and inform us on their products?

  • Seems like another impatient gamer… Im calling the condition “ps3lag-itis”.
Where’s the Sony God when you need him…?

  • As promised last week, I will continue my weekly comment on PS1 games until more of them are delivered. Please get whoever is in charge of securing licenses from 3rd party developers and get them to come here and comment on the blog and explain why Sony isn’t contracting more deals to get more PS1 games released. Better yet, please get someone to come here and explain why some of Sony’s own 1st party PS1 games STILL have not been released.

I know Noel has made efforts in the past to explain about licensing issues, etc., but we need an explanation on why Sony has done nothing to encourage 3rd party publishers to release their old PS1 games on the PS Store. Reduce your fees or give them some type of incentive to want to release the older games. Nintendo has had no trouble getting their 3rd parties to deliver older games from the 8-64bit generations, why can’t Sony do the same for just PS1 games?

  • Demos galore. Awesome!

  • @111 – That’s fine if there is nothing wrong with it. However, you are acting like a complete ass and a baby over it. Do you have a life? I mean is some imaginary trophie that important to you that you have to come off like a complete dipshiiit to the entire PSN community.

Sony doesn’t owe you a thing. You should be thankful for what you have. Whining about a expansion pack make you seem like a child.

  • @114
I definitely agree, there seems to be a systematic failure somewhere within the structure of sony to be distanced from the gaming community … At every turn on this new console, problems, delays, etc… from Home to LBP to PSX games… but i still prefer sony over microcrap… And I hope that someone really understands there really is a problem… WT..? Also Why doesn’t sonys own site work properly with the PS3 and PSP, that’s really bugging me, doesn’t anyone use a PS3 on Sonys Blog (it doesn’t work!)?

  • @101

Because only one of the demos is for a game we don’t already know full well is complete and utter garbage, and thats the Siren demo, which Siren fans already downloaded and played off the Japan and HK stores, due to it’s heavy use of english.

The Siren demo is way too late to be relevant, and the lack of PSone classics is a continuing issue for quite a large number os us. I like my PS3, but Grace, your online store sucks.

  • @53

So far, the new games and new experiences have kinda sucked. Sony is a big company, they can release classics AND “new experiences”. Nintendo does both, Microsoft does them both, so can Sony. No excuses. One or the other logic is a flaccid fallacy.

  • Very good update. thanks sony keep it up!

  • Great update! about 5 demos to keep me busy this weekend along with the incredible FREE update for Burnout:Paradise called “CAGNEY”. Awesome update.

P.S. Is it possible to give us a more meaningful add-on feature such as a Youtube icon to access and watch Youtube quickly. The new feature to search Google is meaningless especially when i cannot access it during a game. So it is still better to just simply use the browser that you so do not support. Thank you.

    PSN ID:stennex.

  • Jeff or Eric

It is time to make Qore or any other digital magazine you have coming down the pipe, “REMOTE PLAY” via the PSP. Its the perfect application for digital magazines.

  • After going back and reading some other comments from the anti-PS1 people I just wanted to add…

People are saying “If you want PS1 games, go buy a PS1.” Think for a second here geniuses… All of the good PS1 games are far out of print and most of the classics are now sold on eBay for extremely high prices. Go look up Final Fantasy VII or Xenogears and look at how much people want for them, it’s ridiculous.

People are saying “Quit living in the past, and play the games we have now.” And how many of you are over the age of 15? Many of us who are older (I am 27) want to be able to relive some of the classics we played when we were younger. We do still buy new games, but we see nothing wrong with playing older titles either. Plus, it’s not like the PS3 has many RPG’s out right now anyway, those of us craving some could get our fix with a good old PSOne RPG to help hold us over until more good ones come out on PS3.

None of my posts are made to bash Sony in any way. I think anyone should be able to offer comments on what could make things better for consumers. There is clearly a demand for PS1 games, and I think anyone who wants them should continue to voice your opinions on this blog.

  • @ backbreaker65

Wow what a great idea, psp ebook type magazines… This is a perfect reason i feel something isn’t right with your blog, if someone would take the ideas expressed within this blog whole-heartedly rather than customer service ahole like, PSP and the PS3 would dominate this next gen console market, seriously, i’ve been reading through these responses and if someone did that a sony that had a position to make these ideas reality, wadda boom… sony would rule… so if you read this please pass it along to someone at sony that can really do something to help your systems… cause they are lacking at every turn… and they have an extreme amount of potential, thx.

  • @ 197

    findaway
so u can call me names aswell as others and express your opinions but i cant?I have as much right to post as u and i do it without calling people names the only reason im so aggravated is because i have been asking this same question for over a week and it is a legitamate question where is the co op pack for super stardust hd the only reason i say fire them is because if they dont answer our questions(the legit ones)then whats the point to all this posting or this blog all i want is a simple answer like it will be out soon or anything!Yes im a trophy whore whats wrong with that? And sony should care about their customers as someone said that we dont matter to sony!

  • So Jeff still wont answer us about the SSHD Team Add On…nice

  • Very nice update!

  • Solid update, but nothing that really catches my eye.

Lets hope for a sweet e3(and maybe some sweet demoes to trickle to the ps store next week) =D

  • Nice update

  • wow wall-E demo download big

  • Good stuff, when can we expect to see WipEout HD on the store?

  • Nice Store update! I tryed out the Wall-E demo and it was quite good and I hate most kid games! I found the puzzles challangeing but not so hard that they make you pissed off, and at the same time the controls and graphics were vary good for a kids game.

The fact that I can make Wall-E chear any time I wan’ted too during the game to show I was haveing fun was great IMHO.

I also like the way the world looks. I just hope the Frame rate is better in the full game then in the Demo it kinda lagged in some places.

The best thing about it is the farther you go into the game the more you find out about the world your in.

I also loved the SOCOM: Confrontation trailer! Good action shots and killer gameplay notes! It shows us what the scopes look like for sniper rifles, and how AT weapons work in the game, as well as the ways cover and leaning can be used to save your butt in combat! I can’t wait to get my hands on that game!

  • We need some ps1 games. Any info when its coming would. I’ll be surprised if Sony announces a batch of ps1 games for the ps store. I’d be a happy panda! Also any news on Dark Mist???

  • To all the people whining abou PS1 games. Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, you guys are a great minority. Every week we get to read all your rants and threats to sony on how you are gonna do this, or your not gonna due that. You know out of the millions of PS3s that have sold we always hear from about 20-30 of you guys on this blog. Maybe there just isn’t enough interest in PS1 games for the WHOLE community. You know it consists of just you guys. Maybe you should start a real petition and actually have real people sign it and send it to SONY, instead of having the same 20 or so whining, threatening, and utterly crazy people on here every week.

PS: If there is not enough interest, it is not economically viable. I sure there will be some crying but Oh F-ing Well

  • @ou814me

It’s not just here that people are wanting PS1 games, it’s on the official PlayStation forums, GameFAQs, and many other forums as well. There has only been one or two major triple A titles released on the store so far, so I don’t see how the demand has even been tested yet. If they were to release something like Resident Evil 1 & 2 or Xenogears like the PS store in Japan has, I can nearly guarantee you that those would all sell very well.

I really don’t see why people wouldn’t want PS1 games anyway. If you don’t want them, don’t buy them. I see nothing wrong with people voicing their opinions on this blog for PS1 games every week. It shows demand, and that is what this blog is for anyway… to communicate with PlayStation owners.

  • Yeah no doubt about SSHD? I want to finish that trophy..Looks like we’ll be waiting awhile for games to get patched. Good update tho.

  • @ou814me

its not just the psx games either… you cant deny that sony is lacking on the ps3 console, accessories, viable updates (not the everyother week, do nothing updates that take 30 minutes before i can play my games…) and home was announced to be released with the system over a year ago… maybe programming on the ps3 is really difficult, but why make your system so hard to work with? Sony just needs to step up to the plate with a viable next gen revolutionary system, they started to, they just need a kick in the butt, and thats the reason so many of us are saying as much as we can as critics, cause there’s an unacceptable amount to critique.

  • Hmmmmm, I might if Siren will be come to US on a Blu-Ray disc as Japan. Hey, Sony or any guy could u please answer me this question… please!

By the way awesome update this week.

  • jeff or any1 at Sony where can i find the ps truck tomorrow i live in NYC.on the information board its said the truck is going to be in front of Yankee stadium a few week ago it was going to just be at fan fest?where can i find the truck tomorrow and what time will it be there?

  • No PSOne downloads, and I don’t really care. Why is this always the complaint of the day here? All you hardcore PS fans can’t seem to buy an original copy? None of them are really that rare to find, and the ones that are I doubt will make it to the PS Store anyway… A good update this week, now if you’ll excuse me I only have 2 more trophies to get in SSHD!

  • @ bigfnrabbit

Im not calling you names. I did say you were whining in caps, calling out staff members and insulting them.

    ..Were you not doing that?

No one said it wasnt a legitimate question, nor that there’s something wrong with wanting all the trophies so bad. But dont expect to be listened to with your petty posting.

    J

  • Siren!

  • #132

I could not have said it better.

More PS1 titles please Sony. And also In Game Xmb for PS1 so we can answer mail while in game.

Also it would be nice to have something under my name while playing so it doesn’t look like im sitting online doing nothing, people mail me, and OH! I cant just XMB it, as I have to log out.

We few might be a minority, but what we ask for I think is just as important as what you all do everyday.

  • Thanks….waiting for the Socom demo to come out !

  • @50 I also want to know as to when the TEAM ADD ON is going to show up I also dont have it but would like to get it. Anything on that Sony?

  • would be really nice if the SSHD Team Pack was back at in the store :(

  • @SDkngsht

Seriously? You’re thanking Sony for the Vegas map pack?

Especially when the description says the Vegas development created as a thank you for the fans.

Wicked awesome. I’ll never understand blind devotion to Sony.

Better than last week’s update. But a kick to the groin would have been a better update.

  • The Siren: Blood Curse Demo is very good. Short, but very good. I like the first person view. Looking forward to seeing more of this game at E3.

  • Jeff,is monster madness a psn game or blu ray?

  • I have a question is there any chance Siren: Blood Curse will come out on a Blu Ray disk in the US. I heard you have to buy it of of PSN and for me at least I like owning a disk.
So is there any chance it will come out on both. Just like how you can buy Warhawk online or at a store.

  • nice update. Still waiting on the SS-HD co-op pack.

  • i think you guys should add Folding at home trophy support! i need my recognition.

  • @bigfnrabbit

While it may not be what you want, I feel the people on this blog, Jeff especially, answer as many questions as they can. Remember, their hands are still tied by SCE as a whole and I’m sure it’s frustrating for them to have answers and not be able to say anything and to then have people complaining.

Like it or not, their job isn’t to post on this blog, but they give updates when they can. It’s better than having no contact at all and I, for one, am very happy the blog is here at all.
