Wow, for a minute it looked pretty harmless with just the “no Fallout3 downloadable content” announcement, which hurt. However the FFXIII announcement hit like a ton of bricks. This is just horrible, with the combination of LR and SO4 being timed exclusive on top of that.
Wow, Sony I love you guys and what you have done for the industry over the last decade but you shouldn’t of forgotton about these franchises.
If you have franchises like FF or GTA exclusive it doesn’t matter if things like Home is subpar or in-game XMB exists because your user base is through the roof.
idk I don’t get it sometimes. Some things in my mind should be more focused on or should have more priority.
A FVII remake would make everything better. Until it’s announced on the 360 the year after?
Ok ok… I’ve calmned down. SOny because I love playstation in the back of my heart still. Though just a little now. You could in theory pull this off somehow. LIke maybe a price cut and exclusive FFVII or FF something and Kingdom hearts. But In all seriousness i have loved sony since i was a little kid on my PSone. I don’t understand what is happening with sony they are letting all of their triple A titles become multi-platform, and they are investing in games like LAIR and Haze. Honestly cut the [DELETED] with A class crap new games and take back the exclusitivity of GTAV, FF13, and other games. it’s day one, microsoft said their peice. you want to sell your ps3 and get the rrodbox for ff13. i hope your 360 rrod’s in the middle of playing ff13. of course, the netflix and home like announcements hurt as well. but let sony get their day and see what happens then. i am upset about gta and now fallout 3 360 exclusive dlc, but it’s not changing my mind yet on my ps3 purchase. i’d rather play ff13 in 1080 anyday over 720 with the chance of my system dying. that is of course, if ff13 will have 1080 support and it better. meanwhile, i’m still looking for the story that actually states ff13 on 360? some one wanna link me please.

Sony is to blame. It’s their job to get and keep Exclusives. Of course the developers want as much money as possible, that’s why games go multi platform. What a let down. I’m sure Sony is going to talk about the same tired games this E3 as they did back in E3 ’05. It’s just very disappointing to watch the 360 continue to grow as a GAMING CONSOLE…..and PS3 to continue to fail as a gaming console.

This is Sony we’re talking about. They don’t have a single thing planned tomorrow that will come close to topping this. Heres an educated guess of how the Sony conference will go:
-lots of talk about “exciting” but vague upcoming PSN features
-more screens of Home which will be out Fall 2011
-lots of small “niche” PSN games from up and coming developers that nobody will buy
The MOST we could hope for is God of War 3 announcment. But even with that, they probably haven’t even started it yet and is at least 2 years away. Sony fails miserably.

I bet square enix promised sony exclusivity in japan where the xbox 360 doesn’t matter in order to bail out of their agreement like gta4 and whatever timed exclusive game they promised sony. So within a year’s time Konami will announce mgs4.
Everyone here is getting really off topic. Look, FFXIII is ONE game. People are making this out to be more than it is. One game wont win a console generation. FFXIII in Japan will still sell more on the PS3 and hopefully in Europe too. Square Enix knows that they need the PS3. We are STILL getting FFXIII. People got to accept that the day of huge 3rd party exclusives are pretty much over. With games costing as much as movies to make the developers/publishers have to make money somehow and that’s the way things go sometimes.
We are still getting a bunch of great unique games like Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2. Then there’s all the games from 3rd parties.
Doesn’t anyone know that Sony knew about this announcement? Doesn’t anyone think that Sony does have a plan? Everyone needs to chill and watch Sony’s conference tomorrow. I’m sure they wont disappoint.
