During yesterday’s E3 Press Conference, Insomniac Games’ Brian Allgeier officially revealed Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty. In this latest E3 interview, Brian talks about Q4B, what Insomniac looks for in a job applicant, and answers your questions (question-asker in parentheses):

  • What game(s) you have at E3 this year?
  • Do you think huge trade events like E3 are going to last? (Jeigh)
  • If you get the chance, what game(s) do you most want to go hands-on with at E3 2008? (Genki-Rocket)
  • Who in the industry would you most like to collaborate on a game with? (indigovenom)
  • How has the existence of PSN affected the way you think about games? (tirminyl)
  • What kind of advice would you give those currently in college and would like to pursue a career in video game development? (Voozi)
  • How often do you make technical changes to your games half-way through or late into the game development cycle based on something you’ve just seen or played from other developers? (P_tear_griffin)
  • If you could say one thing to the fans of your game/series out there, what would it be? (Xanog)

  • Insomniac= best devs ever!
They should co-create a game with Naughty Dog not realated to any series. That would be great.
    Can’t wait for Q4B

  • I’m also super excited for Q4B, glad to finally know what it’s all about and can’t wait to actually play it!

  • Brain Allegeir! :D You are awesome! The reveal of Quest for Booty was amazing. For around 14 dollars, and four hours of entertainment, it’s just the best. I bought Future: Tools of Destruction when it released last year, loved it a lot, and played and finished it 10 times. I’m glad that Quest for Booty continues on where F:TOD left off. I can’t wait! :D

  • Sorry for misspelling your name Brian. I meant Allgeier.

  • Does the Resistance 2 game have a sprint button?

I’m sure the E3 demonstration would’ve been better if the player was running instead of walking while being chased around by the big monster.

  • News for the European front..Its officially been announced that Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty is going to release on the PSN as well on Blu Ray disc within the European region. No announcements about the US.

This most likely as Europe is still waiting for the PSN tickets. Good News! Despite the fact I can download the game from the PSN, I most likely will buy it on blu ray, it will save some of my HDD :-)

  • Can I use my save file from Tools of Destruction in Quest for Booty?

  • i wanna play :3

  • Quest for booty is released this summer, also will the game support trophies?

  • To clarify this, its coming atleast in THE U.S THIS SUMMER.

    So this rocks =D

I hope it comes out this month, or the next before school starts. I love that series

  • I wish Allgeier makes a cameo on IG’s podcast this season to discuss updates. Only if the game is not done yet in production.
