  • Lego Jones is really nice , Facebreaker not so but ok ..

but thank you for “life with playstation”!

I enjoyed the end of july really much!

  • Another good update marred by people who failed to attend their anger management sessions this week, too bad.

    Thanks for the cool update.

  • @198

    Don’t recall asking your opinion.

  • @199

All companies do this, some jsut more than others. I’m still waiting for Nintendo and MS to deliver on a few of their ‘promises’. But don’t say that Sony always delay things, or do you just like to ignore the video store?

  • @203

wtf? Talk about uncalled for. Why getting so hostile?

  • thatsmartguywiththefro

    @MeltTech

I have Lair and I have to say it uses the sixaxis VERY well.

The japanese store has a demo so if your interested in a trial just set up an account there. You can enter bogus stuff for most so you don’t really even need to know what it’s saying. But if you remember the general layout or find a translation on the internet that would help too.

  • okay sony said today for LIFE today isn’t over with wait till 11:59pm then complain

  • snakeball???? ??what is this game and why arent u guys aknowlaging that you released it??? ???

  • **** no Warhawk booster pack, no ******* GGL tournament knife, no PS1 games that we want, **** just eden with a ******* time limit that will drive me up the ******* wall. stupid dumb*** sony promise us ******* Life with Playstation the ******* ******** lied it the ******* end of the ******* month and we ******* didn’t get a ******* **** thing. Just ******* PixelJunk ******* eden.

    Censored for your protection

  • @198 libregkd_117
about the Kotaku article about SCIV DLC:

ah yes i see they did change it!

    good call, man.

and you don’t even really need to pay for it, it can be unlocked in the game, right?

if so, then that isn’t so bad!

It just let’s people with no patience to unlock the stuff have it right away by buying it….that’s ok with me!

    thanks again

  • I can’t believe all of the whiny babies on this blog. Stop crying. This was an outstanding update. Keep up the good work Sony!

  • @210

Heh, not what I meant. Kotaku at first thought it was content already on the disc, and this would unlock for that price. This DLC is actaully brand new content not found on the disc. So there is no way to unlock it in game.

But if you want to know, the DLC is content from some of the CAS in SCIII.

    @209

Type a coherent sentence, then people will start to take you seriously.

  • Does Eden support trophies by any chance?

  • Who’s getting hostile? I was just stating a fact.

  • Who’s getting hostile? I was just stating a fact.

  • Why did that post twice? Weird.

  • @213

    Yes it does.

    @215

Fine. Don’t have to be so blunt about it. I was just giving a reason as to why they aren’t responding.

  • ok what in the world are you guys doing all day were is life with playstation you promised us were is the warhawk update they keep saying is very very soon were are some good ps1 rpg games this is so sad and its a ******* bull**** get on the ball

  • Nice update!

Ummmm, where’s Playstation Life? It’s the last day of the month Mr. Jack Tretton.

  • @ 219

Yes, it should be out next week! looking forward to that.

  • I bet that play tv service will come to PS3 next year we are switching in February to the digital broadcast no more analog

  • I bet that play tv service will come to PS3 in america next year we are switching in February to the digital broadcast no more analog

  • @ 212 please leave your comments to yourself dont comment other peoples comments

  • @172

You’d rather have another twin stick shooter instead of unique games you won’t get anywhere else? There was a reason microsoft was giving that game away for free for a week, it wasn’t very good. Don’t lump us in with your opinion of rather having undertow instead of pixel junk eden or the last guy. “multiple award winning”, are you PR for the developers who worked on the game?

  • @225:

That was the most ironic post I’ve ever seen here. That HAD to be done on purpose.

  • I want Einhander for PSN/PS1 download, please thank you.
I second that give us einhander now

    and one more thing
you people can cry like babies so much
I want I want I want has it accured to you folks that maybe somethings wrong with the game and there fixing it, and to the guy who said he don’t want to switch to Microsoft or Nintendo go ahead if you think nintendo or xbox is any better
if you think sony is bad check nintendo out they lie saying hardcore games are coming and then come E3 oh we’re not doing any hard core games until nextyear please don’t believe the hype

  • what is this? madness i say, you come to E3 and say what you can’t do, is like E3 is just a joke to you guys, home was promise by the end of 07 and now this, is like you guys take us for stupid people

  • @224

I wouldn’t be surprised by that. I don’t know why it took America so long to make the change. Next, I hope the start giving us faster internet as standard. Seriously, Europe on average have alot faster connection than the US.

    @225

I’ll do what I want, thank you very much.

  • Hi.
Good Update. I didn’t like Eden that much, maybe later I’ll buy it. I just bough PJM and haven’t played it- been playing Bad Company.

Anyways, I really liked the Lego Indiana Jones demo. I wish if we had it earlier when it got released, but it’s ok. Madden NFL 09 demo was OK, not that much… I haven’t tried anything else.
Can you please post also what has updated in the Video Store? I know new things are coming, but I can’t tell. If you post them here I’ll know then I’ll buy/rent. =)

And please, about Lif….. Well you know what, please bring it ASAP… This isn’t good for Sony’s rep…

  • @ 229 (mendezgato)

    Thank You! I 100% agree.

  • Can’t wait to buy Eden, this will be my 5th PSN game purchase this week, too many good games, not enough time to play them all though !

  • @211 if we are cry babies then you are a mindless sheep that believes whatever a corporation tells you.btw, we have the right to complain because we payed 600 bucks for this machine and right now it looks like a 600 paper tiger ok.its just shamefull that a ceo of a company will lie to us in this way.if he wasnt sure about the release date then why announce the product’s release date then?besides that, i dont get it why the jeff or whatever is it charge of this blog doesnt adress us about this issue. its courtesy to reply back when asked a question ya know?even if they dont know the answer they can go out and say it.. WE DONT KNOW!..but what we got here ppl that arent educated enough to reply to us (theirs customers) and that my friend is just rude in my opinion.i thought that this blog was about we the customers interacting with them (sony) but i guess i was dead wrong

one last thing, i’m not complaining about the update because its a pretty good one, i’m just complaining about their lies and lack of respect for us (their customers!)

  • People need to learn how to use the email contact form like they suggested. It’s annoying to see the same folks weekly spammin’ up irrelevant questions.

ps. Great update. It’s a shame that my ISP is garbage and caps my monthly max bandwidth. So much I want to download

  • great update for the store.
can we also get a update for the video store that way we know whats new movies, t.v. shows, and anime are update for that week?

  • @ 235

Everyone is complaining about the same thing because this is a great space for that, if not the best one.

How long we are asking for more PS1 titles? Home beta? It’s not one or two persons complaining, there’s a lot of people asking for the same things.

  • Where the heck is LIFE WITH PLAYSTATION?? SONY NEEDS TO STEP UP OR YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE MY BUSINESS AND MANY OTHERS…

STOP WITH THE FREAKING BROKEN PROMISES!

  • @222, thanks, i am also looking forward to it. :)

  • I miss the Sony back in the ps1 and ps2 days. Always on task. Microsoft is a greedy company but at least they know that Happy customers = More money. This is why they are winning. They look at PS3 exclusive games and look at the history of it or the hype and buy it to go multi-platform. Sony is honestly messing up with this generation. They need to respond to demand and make themselves into competition with other companies. They need to man up in this business or they will fall. Stuff like in-game voice chat, cross game invites, and in-game music should be answered cause it is Demand. This is a business and there will always be demand and Sony has to be on task to supply it.

  • @334

I suppose one man’s trash is another man’s treasure because this system is not looking like a ‘paper tiger’ to me. Yes, it’s a shame that Life is released to day as said. But its not like they went into a meeting and said

“We’re gonna delay Life just to piss off our fans!”

Its more than likely that they spotted something wrong with the the program at the last minute. And instead of releasing a buggy version and then patch it a little later, they decided to fix the issues then release an unbuggy version.

And as I said multiple times already. Maybe, just maybe, Jeff is online right now. 10 bucks says he would address question about Life is he was on or say that he’ll look into it (hell maybe he is trying to get an answer right now for all we know.)

They guy hasn’t replied since 3pm PST. And depending on where he lives, he is either eating dinner or going to bed by now. Let the guy live his life and wait for tomorrow for some more info.

  • Also “Life with Playstation” is just a news station for news… wii has had it for a while… unless your just that bored that you eagerly wait for news. If it host news on event s happening in the game industry that would be nice but i dont really care for news. Eh thats just my opinion.

  • @ 241

Im with you on that, they’re not delaying it just for the heck of it.. but some people just choose whining over reasoning.

They’re not delaying it just for the heck of it, like you said something might have happened and most likely we’ll get an update on that soon.

Feels like the FW 2.40-2.41 topic all over again. Loads of hatred across the board because they wouldnt give us an update on what was going on, and within the next few days they came up with the solution.

While you’d think they worked hard right.. others thought they had their feet on a desk laughing at us. Pretty lame.

  • @241:

Dont mind EvoAnubis, he acts like his shat dont stink. The best part of him ran down his moms buttcheek when his father was knockin her up.

  • @240

Took the words right out of my mouth.

  • @240

What’s to miss? They are the same as from way back then. Only this time, the internet can spread the bull**** they’ve said. For example, with the PS2, the announced it would have AIM support and Linux(only released in Europe), what ever happened to those?

Hell, the whole reason they won the last console war was because they bull****ed people into believing that the PS2 was better than the Dreamcast when, at the time, had been out for a year, had better games and was cheaper. The DVD functionality helped as well, but after completely destroying interest in the Dreamcast, the PS2 had a whole year to itself.

A lot has changed since Sony entered the gaming market. The PS brand was known for great exclusive 3rd Party titles and this generation, there seems to be none of that. Developing a game costs way too much nowadays to keep them exclusive. That is why you are seeing games that were once exclusive to either MS or Sony becoming multiplatform. Both sides are losing exclusive third party games.

As Nintendo found out when the original Playstation hit the market, publishers don’t have loyalty and many abandoned Nintendo (for a variety of reasons) and Sega for Sony. Much like many 3rd parties today have given preference to Microsoft. There is nothing stopping any publisher from doing the same to Microsoft in the years to come. To use a choice quote from Battlestar Galactica, “all this has happened before and it will happen again”.

Sony is trying to walk the Nintendo path by heavily investing into company controlled IP’s and assets, first party titles, rather than throwing billions of dollars at third party publishers for the right of exclusivity of a product they really have no control over. And quite frankly, Sony’s first party games trump MS’

    inb4 tl;dr

  • We know you read these comments, great update but where is life with playstation, it was promised for the end of this month. Come on give us an update is it delayed, was jack talking out of his butt, seriously though Kaz should just send out a memo to all of his employees telling them to keep their mouth shut on things they obviously have no clue about and how come there is no mention of Snakeball in the update?!!!

  • @247

Because the game had been out for well over 3 months now <_<. Come to think of it, I think it was released in Dec/Jan o_0

  • Pixel Junk Eden is Excellent and with trophies and upload for Youtube.
Excellent. thx Sony and Q games.

  • Why cant we get crash team racing as a PSone Classic; both the japan store and the UK store already have it??
