Qore Episode 5 Hits PSN Thursday

Kevin Furuichi's Avatar Posted by Executive Producer, PlayStation Network

Hey everyone, my name is Kevin Furuichi and I’m the new Executive Producer here at the PlayStation Network. The Qore team’s put together a spook-tacular, monster-themed Halloween Special for Episode 05 available in the PlayStation Store on Thursday, October 9, here’s a preview.

Fallout 3
Nuclear winter in Washington, D.C. and mutated humans and beasts are really not so happy about the way things turned out. Do you dare leave the bunker and confront their radiation-amplified personality issues?

Resident Evil 5
The series that invented the term “Survival Horror” is back and better than ever on PlayStation 3 – just don’t call them “zombies” – they HATE that!

Dead Space
Talk about creepy. Our “trio of terror” is complete with a game that’s banned in China, Germany, Japan. When you see the gameplay, words really fail to describe… well, actually, how about “Strategic Dismemberment.” Also included is an exclusive graphic novel!

Shaun White Snowboarding
Well, it’s not exactly spooky, but Olympic Champion Shaun White is a monster on any mountain. Veronica meets “The Flying Tomato” in Park City, Utah for a personal tour of his new game.

New Downloadable Content:
Included in this episode is exclusive access to SEGA’s Valkyria Chronicles demo. Qore Episode 05 also contains three different shooting galleries. Clear the galleries to reveal a horrifying bonus video segment.

I really enjoy Qore more that any gaming magazine that one were to buy from a news stand. So much more can be done with a interactive video magazine(like Qore)than ink and paper.

I did, of course, mention that October 9th is my birthday, and a Home beta code would make an excellent present, right?

I’ve been I QORE subscriber since the first episode, and I must say that it is off the hook! I love QORE becuase it gives me a true insight about upcoming PS3 titles. I can’t wait to see what will be new in the next few episodes, because I know that they will only get better. I would like to see more downloadable content, demos, themes, extra videos, etc. How about some contests? Like trivia, or some type of puzzle, maybe the winner can get a free PSN download. QORE should be online enabled, so that you can release it at the begining of the month and just keep adding content through out the month, that’s probobly harder to do than what it sounds, eh? BUT YOU GUYS ARE SONY, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING! Just my two pennies.

Hey Kevin,

A lot of good replies, keep it up on this one.

Are you guys going to do anything for those of us that have previously purchased Calling All Cars before QORE was announced? I have basically a $9.99 PSN gift card just waiting for me to spend on some new game. Only problem it’s just for Calling All Cars and I don’t play it now, much less want to download it again. Us using that $9.99 credit on the PS store will make this $24.99 subscription seem all the more worth it. I can’t say I’m too comfortable with it right now.

I dont really get what qore is and why I should care…I always see it for sale but dont really understand why I would pay $3. Is this where everyone is getting beta’s from? I never get those probably because I just play on my ps3 and dont persue it any further than that.

But if that is all it is…info, videos, demos, and beta keys then I wouldnt be interested really.

Im the kind of person who hears about a new game while in the game store and then buys it right away. Demos are really big to download and annoying, so I just play the game for the first time when I buy it. keeps me happy maybe if you included some kind of mini game or something with each episode I would jump on board. like solitare or poker even…lol

Is there any chances that my brother; PSN: Next-Revolution could get into Home Close Beta?

My brother is old than 18.He bought QORE Annual Subscription, since the first week of it. And he didn’t even receive a code for SOCOM: Confrontation Beta!

I would like to see him on Home.

First things first for those that don’t know…

Resistance 2 Public Beta was posponed by Insomniac not sony, until October 5th for those that pre-ordered it and that means we Qore will get it on the 12th, this was done so that R2 will not compete with Socom beta. They as developers understand how important betas are and how it really helps them find problems/bugs/glitches that they will need to fix so that the actual game will be more refined. So please stop commenting about R2 disappointments because it was Insomniac’s decision not Qore’s to delay the R2 beta.

Second I been satisfied even if there hasnt been any new free downloadable game Calling All Cars is still a good download. Still I hope there is more free games to become available as the months go by. Overall keep up the awsome work.

I have Qore Annual and have R2 preordered from 2 places. I did get my email yesterday to register the code, but I still do not have access to the beta.. I don’t know where you saw something about October 5th… I definitely didn’t get anything for then.

Alright, i am a little ticked off at you guys right now…

I go to my download lost in account managment… and i see no Qore. I see the individual Qores i purchased before i go the subscription, but i see no UPDATED version of Qore. As in, Qore Episode 5….

also: I never got my socom confrontation beta key DESPITE having a subscription that started before it was released.

Geoblaze said:

Also: Related to Home.

I have a subscription that i payed for on both my own, and my girlfriends PS3 (That i bought her no less). Both me and my girlfriend are registered for Home Beta (waiting for approval)….

I have spent around $500 in the playstation store, clocked uncountable hours playing games online…. and this is what happens…

While chatting with my local EB Games (Gamestop) a guy came in, and was all excited he got into home when he purchased his PS3 a mere week before, and hadent clocked any hours in, and signed up for the beta AFTER i had.

Come on guys. Get your act togethor.
