I agree. I tried twice as soon as I got home with my 2 new booster packs and Fire theme deck for EOJ: SET2. Got the error and thought, let me check the PS Blog. Good job guys. Like you said Jeff, keep doing what you do. That’s they’re all going to rant and flame Sony now.

they stated about a month ago how the codes would go out for resistance and episode purchasers would start at a later date than pre-orders
clearly thier working on something and we dont know whats going on and aparently people ARE getting codes so no one can really say we got screwed

for everyone on QCore, they are second to get beta codes, everyone who Pre-Ordered the collectors edition from Gamestop are first to get beta codes, don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be getting them tomorrow or the day after.

This better be either HOME or the PSP Store update.
I’d like Home to come out as much as the next guy…it’s kind of embarrassing that it isn’t out yet to be honest…but I seriously doubt that they are going to release Home during an UNSCHEDULED down time.
Thanks for the update. I was starting to worry a little bit that some thing was wrong with my system but I am glad to hear that it is just down for maintenance and nothing wrong with the system itself :)

I think that the update to the store went terribly wrong….. My best guess :) I think yard work is in my future. My wife will not be as worried about the PSN being down.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is related to the SCHEDULED maintenance that happened earlier this week.
Hopefully we still get our store update today or at least before the end of the week.
And, hopefully this means something wicked is in store… perhaps Home maybe?! :D

An error has occured. (80550F17). do you know what caused it? and on a semi-related note, thank you for the full-screen keyboard on the 5.00 update. so much easier to type. but 1 problem I have with it, can you make a key shortcut for shift. like press HOME or something. and make it not interrupt when you hold down the down button going from the white to blue keys. but keep the interuption at the bottom.
When it suppose to be done? Online games won’t be intrupted, lies. I can’t play Warhawk because I dled from the playstation store. Guess I got to wait. Lame.
I’m guessing it’s related to SOCOM, another fiasco launch for Sony.
man if i’d have known i couldn’t play socom without psn i wouldn’t have got it in the playstation store .not to mention waiting longer to get it than people buying the disc . but thanks for the info . wont make that mistake again .

You might be right, but it is to do so in a mature manner, not the way you people do it. And if you for one minute think anything you tell me to do will have an affect on what i post, your dead wrong..I’ll say what i want to say, and in this case, I think this is a joke to post all the derogatory terms aimed at sony. If people werent flooding the servers to begin with, it wouldnt cause issues now would it? So who’s fault is it exactly? I didnt see when i signed up that i had to post a certain number of times before i could speak to certain people. I’m a grown man, dont need permission from anyone. Enjoy your complaining. I’m sure the more complaints and derogatory terms that are posted, the quicker it will come up. So keep posting all the crap..it’ll make the PSN come back quicker.

And since we’re complaining and acting like children (my 2 and 3 year old boys do this too), Waahhhh I just bought Warhawk on the store at 1:40pm today…and I only got to play it around an hour…boo hoo. Oh, and that contract I signed when I bought my ps3 about the PSN,they arent holding up to their end of it. I’m sure you all know, that imaginary contract, i’m sure you all have a copy that you wrote with your Crayola’s, with Dora the Explorer’s help of course..
I am thinking that this has to do with the PS store coming to PSP, Socom, the Resistance beta, and the store update all going on at once. That is a lot of great things going on at the same time.
Sony is just trying to give us more than the network can take?
Because of Home coming would be great though.

You sure are all about what you did and did not read, Welcome to the Blog, I actually thi9nk you are complaining more than most if you look at your ratio of posts complaining to posts not. Either way, the guy you called out was saying what alot of people are saying. Some of the features he does not have were given a release date of months ago. I can tell you really have nothing to bring to the table except ragging on people who have been fighting for the things you take for granted. IN GAME XMB was the biggest complaint/request, so much so that they made a T-shirt for e3 in reference to the Blog. Do you think it would have come so fast (Or at all) if we sat here saying everything is fine? post for yourself, not to drag others down who are making points.

No matter how sophisticated it may be, every system is going to break eventually. As a systems administrator, I understand completely how often things break no matter how much you do to prevent it — and usually at the least opportune times. As others have pointed out, this is a free service, so quit whining. This is the first major outage in awhile. If Google can’t keep Gmail running 24/7 (even for paying customers) and RIM can’t go more than a couple months without a major outage, be thankful that it is only the store that is unavailable and you can still blow things up while you wait for that R2 beta code.
Servers are meant for flooding, and bringing drinks. I am done with you.

Spoken like a true gamer. It’s really a shame that all these immature people come on here. You can complain about something, that all fine, but do it in a mature and respectable manner. You people should know that through out degrading insults and such is not a good way to handle things.
And quite honestly I don’t see why ANYONE would complain about this. Its down for maintenance, so what?. XBox Live was down for maintenance just a week ago. Stuff like this jsut happens. And hell atleast you are still able to play online, when Live went down, you couldn’t do ****.
