As some of you may have noticed, we’ve temporarily taken down some functions of PlayStation Network – specifically access to the PlayStation Store, account management and registration. Online gameplay will remain uninterrupted. We thank you for your patience and will report back here as soon as the Store and registration functions are back online.
It looks like the store is back up. For me anyway.

Well, Actually, when I spend $40 on a game, I am OWED to be able to play said game, even when their fancy network is down. That said, it looks like it’s back up, and all is well. It would have been a lot nicer had they said “we anticipate being back up within an hour or two, rather than leaving it open ended, implying that it could be down all evening, or more.
It look’s like i can get on the store but nothing is showing at all.

Ummm…it’s not up for me…all I get is a blank screen that I can see my wallpaper through. Then if I push O it says “Would you like to exit the Playstation Store”

Ok well I havent gotten my R2 beta code either this sucks… I went to gamestop reserved the game (se) none the less and still cant get an answer when I’m gonna get it. I see other people do… man this is draining… wanted socom but guess wait on that now too… Delaystation….
I can get into Account Management, but it’s not taking my R2 beta code… please tell me this is part of the Network problems.
One thing to straighten out there, camo, I have had a ps3 for a long while, and not once did I complain/want/bash/gripe or any other manner of posting to get something added. I took what i was given and enjoyed it. It just goes to show you that NO MATTER WHAT..the general public is not going to be happy, because enough is NEVER enough. They could make everyones wishes come true, on every deadline that is set, and still..STILL someone would be griping about the method or how it was done. It does not ruin my day if the PSN doesnt work right. I dont need cheese with my wine if I cant play online for a couple of hours. I’m content with what i’ve been given FOR FREE already, I spend my time actually PLAYING the games instead of complaining about the ones that arent out yet, or the stuff that doesnt work to perfection like it should. SO what, a glitch happens. We’re not saving lives here, we’re playing games. This is NOT a life or death situation, and nobody is going to perish from lack of gameplay. Get right before you step at me with something like that again.
Luckily i already got in and downloaded the (slightly underwhelming) motorstorm 2 demo.

PS – While we’re complaining…the Information Board is lame. It is rarely updated and the updates are lame.
I’d rather have the box full of RSS feeds or even Playstation Blog update headlines.
Great timming i just upgraded to 320g hard-drive, i had deleted all my games off my PS3. This is fine thought let them fix it and hopefully make it better.
It seems to be working for me too now. Big deal having to wait a few hours due to unexpected maintenance, they seem to work hard to get this up and running and in return they get a bunch of tantrums from impatient morons.

well…i guess its no longer working…I was able to get into the store for a few moments at least… *patiently waiting*
You know though, I would be proud of Sony if they released Home very nonchalant and unannounced, then do all of their big media press stuff the next day.

Yeah its up but you can’t do anything right now.
Kinda strange, I went to the store again and nothing. Then i went to account Management page all looked well. I then returned to the store and it loaded up fine.

I couldn’t care less about Socom and R2.
The PS3 has enough shooters as it is. We need a decent RPG.
