Alot of love from Disney this week. What happened to Pumpkin Head and Child’s Play? Those two movies used to be on the Store, now they’re gone.

Read the site, “PlayStation®Store (PC version) is being redesigned. Service is scheduled to resume in late October 2008.”

any chance you could put the word in for these things grace?

– an updated playstation network theme to support the newly added icons in XMB

– an option to remove demo’s and theme’s from your download/purchase list

my download list is up over 325 items now but i only bought like 170 items on the store and its gettin irritating to surf through all the useless items

o and can we get an option to manage activated psp’s because my account is at the limit but i forgot to de-activate 2 of them that i traded in toward newer models

it would be most appreciated to get the activations removed that i no longer have access to

other than that im glad to have the ps3

Based on the most recent TOS update that excludes SONY from replacing lost content. I won’t be buying anything from this store ever.

Its too bad SONY, I’m a solid SONY customer from the yellow Walkman age all the way to today and I WANT to spend my money with you…but your terms are completely unreasonable.

Please consider extending the 24 hour availability for rental movies on the PS Store. 24 hours to watch a movie is just not enough since folks may be choosing their movie on the day of the download and have to wait for the download to complete first, and they may actually watch only half a movie with the time left in their evening. A 48 or 72 hour availability makes more sense for most folks and you should also see an uptick in rental sales.

It would be great to see an indication of what is in HD. I’d love to nab some of these TV shows but SD is not an option for me. I’m guessing most if not all shows are in SD, but what about the movies!

And I agree about the DRM, on the 360 I can delete shows to get space and re-download them again at any point. It’s one thing to protect the content, but it could be drastically improved!

Hey, Grace Chen I dunno if you would know or maybe Jeff Rubenstein would know or you can ask him. What is going on with the Xam’d: Lost Memories Episode’s? Ep. 13 doesn’t show up at all in my video store and, Im sure in many other people’s also who have the video store. About Ep. 14 I know it starts the next season but are we waiting till Japan is caught up to the U.S. in season one or what is the hold up I just want an official word just so me and everyone know what’s going on?

Thank You

FritoZ said:

wow, that’s alot of new content!

too bad about the DRM and rental limitations..

GGCAN said:

October 24th, 10:37 pm

I agree with @25 enkill.

Sony you would make some big bucks in Canada if this winter is anything like last year.

People would gladly download instead of trudge out in the cold and snow.

Sure hope our laws aren’t holding this feature up too much.

I agree with removing the horrible DRM. Its crazy that if you pay for a TV show or movie that you can not download that title ever again if you delete it. It needs to work more like the 360. If that means removing game sharing so be it if you ask me.

iokomo said:

October 25th, 2:46 am

I agree as well. I have purchased a few movies already and now I wanted to upgrade my HD and I can’t because I will lose all my movies. Please Sony, change that somehow. Thank you

The DRM is crazy, I have no control over what I just bought!? I would like to select a season for download, not one ep. at a time.

You guys deserve some EXTREME kudos for the Vid store. Within about 3-4 weeks you’ve made the store comparable to the likes of Windows’/Xboxs’.

Now, the only thing you need to do is get comparable prices, and get more seasons of the shows that you already have. Plus, where’s South Park? You guys sponsored the last new episode with R2, but no love for it on the PS Store?

Gunwing said:

October 25th, 7:30 am

Yeah this is all nice and all, but wheres the PSP store update!? We need some new game demos!, More wallpapers, and themes! And last but not least some new and remade themes that support the new XMB, and the new PSN icons!

Obligatory “When are we getting this in Canada?” post.

I really can’t get excited about the issue any more. Sony is only shooting themselves in the foot – the longer Canada is without a legal video service with the shows we want to watch, the more Canadians turn to pirating the shows, and the harder it will be to sell shows legitimately. If Sony is satisfied to stand back and lose an entire country of potential consumers, that’s their loss.

Can you make all movies rentals? I don’t want to buy movies just to have on my PS3, I rented movies and I enjoyed watching them that one time for fun. After that I don’t need it. For example “Love Guru” is only availabe as a buy for $9.99, why can’t I rent the SD version for $2.99 for my viewing pleasure ONCE. I don’t need a $10 movie on my PS3 permanently.
Please read this playstation store people and consider.

Whats going on with the Watchmen episodes? I downloaded 2 of them a couple of weeks ago, but since then there haven’t any updates.

senjutsu_dav said:

Again: Canada?

Is it in process or nobody started talking about thinking of maybe find a way to possibly include Canada for the video content?… I mean, it’s not really harder… You just need the french versions of the movies for the province of Quebec, it’s the only difference. And since it’s on the same DVD, it can’t understand why it can’t be on the same network, lol.

senjutsu_dav said:

Double comment, sorry:

I’m thinking exactly the same. I want to keep the case of the movie for REAL so when the PS4 will pop, I’ll still have it! And this way I can borrow it with me to my friend’s house. But for renting a movie, it’s different. Being able to rent the movies on the PS3 is perfect since it’s where you’ll watch it, and having a lower priced SD would be cool too, like the PS2 games cost less too. :D
