A few changes I’d love to see that would make the Playstation Store GREAT:

1) more big game title downloads (I don’t like physical media–let’s see some bigger game titles downloadable)
2) wishlist for future store downloads (saving titles I may be interested in buying later/tracking)
3) TITLE of current category always visible on screen
4) LARGER TEXT SIZE (it’s so tiny, beef up that text size!)
5) subscription content service
6) more sorting options (price, name, game type, etc.)

7) Game screenshot previews / more video trailers

Do not put an expansion or game up one week, in this case Brain Challenge, only for it to get a price reduction the next week. This is beyond insulting for an expansion that should have already had all these “fixes” in it from the get go. Sony needs to start tracking these type of things to offer customers refunds of the difference when it happens so quickly. Not happy with this yet again lack luster horrible update.

this week update were ok so am not going to complain about no demo to play but i do have to say this skate 2 is by far the worse looking game of 09 . EA i am not going to give you 60 bucks for that game it is basically the same game from last year and x play give it a 4 out of five EA how much money you give them for that review ? this is why i dont pay attention to game review on what to buy. i will wait when i can get this game for 30 dollar which want be long .

You can put up a demo for WipEout HD but not the DLC for WipEout Pulse on the PSP (which, BTW, Europe has had for about a year already)?

An ok update only salvaged by the FEAR 2 demo. Otherwise, not so great at all. That Skate 2 cheat code, I don’t how many people give their money on such a thing is shady and only brings down the PSN, but then again.. It appears your main aim is money, not quality.

And yes, bring out the library of PS1 games. You have a very large amount of folks asking for this that would purchase these games.

So much lost potential.

@Jeff I know this is off-topic, but why are some of our Avatars not showing up in the comments? Mind is still the smiley gray dude. I mean, its not that big of a deal or anything… whatever though. :D

Where is Savage Moon…? Is it Sonys only downloadable ace in hole? They’ve never given a release date they haven’t explained the —MASSIVE— delay… Sony are ussually so open with release dates…As much as I’ve loved Sonys consoles and games they’ve never been the masters of product placement…..Couple weeks, sigh, I’ll be playing Killzone 2 by then.

Alright not a bad update, cant complain but i must say this, a lot of people are confusing the Skate 2 DLC like there adding anything extra, this is just a “cheat” that you have to pay for to unlock everything thats available in the game already the’re not adding anything the’re just unlocking whats in the game, i think thats BS that you have to pay for something thats already in game.

Another very satisfying update. I’ve particularly been looking forward to the FEAR demo.

Thanks guys.

Incredible again another week that the EU store is better updated then the US. Keep up these “awesome” updates. I won’t ever have to spend money on the PSN. It appears that Sony hates money.

I cant wait till the LBP DLC next week, I hope capcom releases RE ps1 classics on PSN before RE5 comes out.

Mastroall said:

January 22nd, 7:46 pm

@ the people complaining about no PS1 games.

You dont get it. Sony has to get licenses from companies that made the PS1 classic, and if that company went bankrupt and disbanded, then they cant get it all.
Sony does not own all of its games.

As for the update, I understand.. All of the great games came out already, now there no more demos..

Mastroall said:

January 22nd, 7:47 pm

Fine, dont. No one cares. Seriously, dont spend your money on PSN. At all.
Maybe the rest of the 24 million member community will.

1. Like what? Name some. I think the Playstation store has enough of the great titles.

2.Thats a good idea, I side with you on that one.

3. Hmm.. Allright.

4. 4 letters for ya there; H-D-M-I.

6. Another good idea.

PS1, Capcom, Resident Evil, hello. how about some 5.1 sound for the video store, ill never purchase a video again especially with this DRM bull. transferred videos to PSP to upgrade my HDD and then tried transferring back but no-can-do!

Well I guess I could say this was an ok update not great but not bad either, at least we got new themes although I would really like a spyro the dragon theme, or spiderman web of shadows theme. For free though since thats kinda wasting money on something you could spend on towards a game.

Let’s have some price updates for Guitar Hero III! The Guitar Hero World Tour tracks are cheaper than GHIII. What gives?

Whats with all the crying, shut the hell up already… Seriously, I always read the blogs and so many of you (crybabies) just complain over and over about the same stuff, wheres this game saying you might not want it anymore now come on man.. And somebody was talkin about what the europe store got and would be happy with that.. Excuse what did they get? would you buy it uh no so shut up.. Uh and lets see the skate 2 dlc ok somebody was crying said it should be in the game.. Well duh it is jus play the damn thing to unlock everything and boom there it is… Sorry whats wrong with sellin DLC for that? what if i jus like playin the game and dont care for to put hours in unlocking stuff.. Dont buy it… easy as that.. ok sorry keep it up sony we’ll get through this together.. drop the price, fallin way behind..

Calendaros said:

Could someone explain why we aren’t getting Outrun for PSN here in the US, while Europe gets it? Is it because of SCEA crappy policy of rejecting games? They blocked Dark Mist and Battle Fantasia, so obviously they are to blamed for this BS.

I’m glad you agree on some of the PS3 store ideas, I think the ratings would really help the store (see the iPhone App Store). As for the larger text size, I am using an HDMI connection with a 1080P LCD TV, not a small unit but not big either. All I want is a “jumbo text” option to view the PS Store textual information (what’s the harm in the option?) from further away.

For the big-name downloadable games… I know there are a ton of demos, but if Sony posts a demo, they’re taunting us by not releasing the full game alongside it or shortly thereafter. Mirror’s Edge demo is about the #8 in top downloads but there is no full game download available. Sonic Unleashed demo was amazing and up there on the list, but there is no full version demo available. MK2 VS. DC Universe is a popular game, but neither a download available. So yes, there are many concerns/limitations here, but as Sony beefs up the hard drives (up to 160GB now) let us download those “big name” (and larger filesize) titles…

Man, pretty dead update… at least for my taste in games anyway. I suppose we’ll have to deal with some down time between now and the warmer months. At least we’ve got a couple of top shelf titles in Fear 2 and Killzone 2 to look forward to!

Wow, that Skate 2 DLC just makes me angry. I’m going to spend a lot of time unlocking that stuff so that I can rock it proudly online, and here anyone can just spend $5 and get it all on day one. Shame on EA, this is repulsive. Skate 2 is a great game, though…

keep them demos coming i was tryin to get a friend to let me use an activation on his account for wipeout cuz i was thinkin of gettin it… but now i dont have to!… DEMO’s keep the demos coming..

i didnt care much about fear or the skate game… i bought part one of each game thinkin i’d play the s*** outta them but ended up ditchin them for newer releases…

cant wait for the RE5 and KZ2 demos in feb…

any update is a good update as long as we get one…

JohnnyMoses said:

January 22nd, 11:11 pm

I agree with the full game downloads point. But, they would have to make them less expensive that way both parties, the customer and the publisher, win. The customer gets a lower price and the publisher doesn’t have to worry about the buyer trading it in and lowering new game sales. Are you listening EA games?

RikiDog said:

John-Shooter said:

im tryin to put off downloading alot of games… i have way too many downloadable games that dont even get played and i have to keep them….

it would be cool if sony let us like put old games up toward newer ones …

i have 6 ps eye games…23 ps1 classics…48 psn games and 7 psp games bought on the store… so yea im tryin to put off actually purchasing for a while… my wallet is burnt atm..
