  • what happened to trial versions of psn games too … i heard someone say that you cant download the trial version of nucleus or like super rub-a-dub anymore… but thats hear-say..

  • *waiting for the real update instead of this trash*

Oh wait.. this is the week’s update, well then, no thanks.

  • Welcome to what it feels like for those of us in SCEE territory. Nothing worth downloading, no (noteable) PS1 games for download, barely any content etc.

Very poor update as I usually rely on the US Store for the good stuff.

  • I have to disagree loonytoon, you guys have Crash Team Racing, a PS1 games I’m still waiting for. In addition to that you have more PS1 games, and you actually have more fully PSP games including Burnout.

  • i think…it’s not that bad a fear 2 demo and a wipeout hd demo for the ones who didn’t purchase it already…after all and correct me if i am wrong SOMEONE REMEMBER WHEN WE HAD THE PSONE she doesn’t even had DLC not even patch if something went today is wrong and it will be wrong forever…no demos (except in some magazines) no add-ons, and we were happy…what really pisses me off is the fact that they’re releasing incomplete games to launch paid add-ons like NFS undercover (the complete game costs 110+ bucks) or the skate 2…

thanks! someone reply to see if i’m not the only one who think this way

  • I would be pissed if I bought the Brain Training expansion last week for $4.99… Anyway, ok update, I have to catch up on some of my games. Thanks guys and hope the SCEA team isn’t affected by any cutbacks.

  • I bought Skate 2 yesterday, hopefully the Skate 2 DLC doesn’t unlock any trophies for you… that’d be a bad direction.

  • Kinda disappointed in the slim update, though I’m certainly glad some are finding DLC they like.. I just hope Sony can really pick up the pace in terms of delivering us great content that’s worth the price of admission.

  • YAY! First Silverchair song for Guitar Hero! Hope we get more of those soon. Hopefully it’ll be a whole track pack of just Silverchair. Good job.

  • Finally Premium Themes on the PSP.

Will you guys ever give us PSP users the PSN Friends List though?

And also when will we be able to add and remove friends using playstation.com?

It kinda feels like the PS3 gets all the love and us PSP and PS2 guys barely get anything.

  • Very nice! off to download the demos.

  • WOW nice update! Thanks for the RR video, and the new themes are vary nice! Thanks for the PSP love. Now any chance that there could be some demos for more PSP games? Like StarWars: The complete saga, The Killzone: Liberation Demo from the other PSP games like Ace Combat X: Skys of Deception, Midnight Club: LA Remix etc.

  • Any chance that the PSP website will be back up any time soon? It was great that we had our own site and forums to use, and post, and talk on. Now we get none of it. Please get that site back up and soon!

  • I WANT “TEN”!!!

  • I would also like to see the Oddworld games come to PSN. I would download those in a second. You guys should revamp them to look good on my HD TV, and beg the Oddworld team to make more games from that series. I never had an original Xbox, so I couldn’t play Munch or Stranger’s Wrath. I was always disappointed that the competition got the exclusive on those games. :(

  • VERY HAPPY with the wipeout hd demo. Been on the fence with this one.

  • Sony:

Move the battery indicator. Or move the clock.

Find the variable that determines the Y positioning of the clock and increment it by 20 pixels. Job done.

Are you REALLY this incompetent that you can’t figure out something so simple?

  • Boring update for me..but glad it excites others!

  • Cant wait for the first week of Feb for the Resident evil 5 demo!

  • Man, all of you must be 3 years old out there, but hey… it’s not a very bad update. Not especially good, but definitely not bad. (June ’07 updates anyone? anyone? remember those? the ones with two videos and nothing else?)

Off-topic: if you guys on the blog would make it so we can have the site remember our login so I don’t have to do it every time I come here, I would appreciate it.

  • PSP Premium Themes..cool..
I love the Eleven X and Azmodeus Dark Angels PSP Themes by Smobile…They are cheap too..99 cents.
The Elven X PSP Icons are awesome!

  • ?????

  • I thought the FEAR 2 demo was Qore exclusive!

  • Nothing has so far been exclusive only to qore. They release it at a later date (2-3 weeks) for PSN store.

  • This is some great content but I’ve been a PS3 fan for quite a long time and I was realy hoping this year that Sony were going to get updates patches and DCL’s for Oblivion, Fallout 3 and all of the other great PS3 titles I’m actualy thinking about switching to X-Box just for the tons of DCL!
PS3’s are still better by far but I’m actualy thinking about it!

  • Well seeing as how hard it is to get as many PSone games as the PSone system had on the PS3/PSP (most of the developers are no longer around and Atari just took a dive, as well as Serria and, Midway all of witch had big titles on the PSone/PS2 are all gone now closed up shop due to the floundering economy)

Sadly those 3 companies made up a grand total of 65 PSone games to their respective names. Now thats all gone for good. Also Sony just lost 1.1million in sales revenue thanks to poor sales of Blu-Ray, and Blu-Ray players as a whole, not to mention the only times you even see PSP adds, or PS3 adds is during the holidays. Mean while Nintendo, and Microsoft continue to run TV Adds on more then the holidays, and during football games.

Oh well Sony might just go under at this rate, but eh I’ll keep my PSP untill Microsoft comes out with something better. Or hay if all of the PlayStation brand goes under Sony could make a killing developing games on the Xbox360, or work with Microsoft to make a new handheld device to beat Nintendo.

  • @176.
I love it how you didnt mention that Microsoft lost about -5.6 in stocks, losing millions of dollars.

Yes, those ps1 games are gone for good. You’re right.

Sony wont go down. Thats the funniest [DELETED] I heard today. Sony is everwhere. You think just because they lost a couple million that there gonna give up?
Screw M$. Get out of here 360 fanboy. I hate ignorant pieces of [DELETED] like you.

  • man we got 2 good demos sweet!

  • So we get a video and? PSP owners were basically ignored for another week. Hope to see more Playstation games soon, and that they start really coming down the pipeworks.

  • The skate 2 DLC is lame. Defeats the purpose of gaming…thumbs down.

  • boo

  • I was hoping for at least another downloadable game for this week’s update for the PSP section of the PS Store. I have no plans of buying that Resistance PSP game plus the thought of paying money for themes seem a bit weird especially when some (myself included) have the option to make our own themes for free.

Thanks for the update nonetheless. It’s certainly better than not receiving any update at all.

  • anybody know if they are going to have Intelligent Qube available on the Playstation Store to purchase?

  • I swear I don’t get people complaining about the Skate 2 DLC… What are you complaining about? that you don’t get to cheat anymore? Learning to play the goddamn game might help with that. Would you rather have to pay for some stripped out mechanic or feature? Seriously… this is the best kind of DLC there is, the kind that you are in no moral way obligated to ever buy (unlike, say… LittleBigPlanet).

  • @ 10: I agree! Penn State should have been one of the first themes in the college series. I mean, come on… Cal? Wisconsin? Florida State? Bad choices. Otherwise, nice update Sony! Oh, almost forgot. WE ARE… PENN STATE!!

  • What a bunch of spoilt whingers “some” of you are.Are you really surprised that you get NO responses to some of the comments you leave…

Thanks for the FEAR 2 demo, twas good… and like some have already said, if you haven’t played Wipe Out HD yet, then nows you’re chance…one of the best offerings on the PSN…

  • Yea, now I can test out whether Wipeout HD gives me epilepsy or not.

  • Hear latley the store updates have been not so great japan gets alot of PS1 classics while we still barely get them our store updates kinda late in the day & when it finally updates the wait is for nothing like this past thursday.

  • Just out of curiosity, I decided to check out the site for those Disruptive Media Publusher Inc. themes to get a better view of them. While it still seems a bit weird paying for PSP themes, I will admit that some of those premium themes look pretty cool. I might consider buying at least one of them soon.

  • kind of disapointing

  • ^—–Indeed…Where is Savage Moon guys? This game was being called a fall release…we’re half way to spring.

I wish they had been more clear if fall 2009 or 2010 was the expected time of release.

  • Nice WipEout HD Demo. Want to buy now :D

  • Hi maybe i’m late on this but I’ha NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM Pack 3 to 7; were can I find the 1&2 or someone know what was included on those packs?

  • Give us a real update!!!! cross game chat!!!! c’mon seriously why is something like this not already implemented from day one, lame.

  • now if only they would make everything free…

  • playststion: are we going to see any gta4 dlc??

  • hmmmmmm what about you guys get some prototype content up in here!!!!!!

  • prototype prototype, prototype!! :P ima try to get the 200th post.

  • yay prototype kilzone 2 godfather 2 we all wananhere about that!
