What’s up Home-boys and Home-girls?
We have some über-cool events scheduled for this week that we want to hip you all to. First, we are holding a live Q&A session with John Diamonon and Seth Killian from Capcom today, March 4th. This chat will focus on all things related to Street Fighter IV and will give a few lucky attendees the chance to win a more intimate follow-up Q&A (complete with an SFIV tips and tricks tutorial) in a private clubhouse at a later date.
To participate in the general Q&A, just bring your bad self over to the Gamer’s Lounge today between the hours of 7:00 – 9:00pm PST (10:00 – 11:00pm EST) – and don’t be afraid to show up dressed as your favorite SFIV character! To start, John and Seth will be tackling the most popular questions culled from the official PlayStation Home forums (under the usernames “HIERO9D3” and “clothhand”), but will hold a brief open chat afterwards. These two gents will be “instance-jumping” throughout the event, so if you’re in the Gamer’s Lounge and you don’t see them, cool out and sit tight! They’ll be making the rounds.
To qualify for the private chat, make sure you attend the general Q&A decked out in the Dan Saikyo shirt (unlockable in Home). Attendees sporting this hot reward will be entered into a drawing and then chosen at random to participate. If you make the list, we’ll send you details via private message in your XrossMediaBar regarding the time and date of the follow-up session.
In other news: We’re launching the Resident Evil 5 game space tomorrow, March 5th. So dress yourself up in that free Resident Evil gear available in the Mall, check out the new space, and learn more about the game before it launches later this month. We’ll be looking out for you!

Every time I see a post on Home the NL Christmas Vacation movie pops in my head. You know the part where Clark’s lights don’t work and the Grandmother says to the kids “see what pissing all your money away gets you”. Then his kid says “but he worked really hard”.
Same thing.
I wish that every time that I enter Home… I didn’t have to download everything all over again… It actually makes me not want to wait. I wish that if there were updates that would automatically download in the background…. at least for the main spaces… like your apartments, mall, theater, and bowling alley. I hate that when I log on… I have to walk around for 5-10 minutes while the spaces download, so I just log off. Any plans on this or have there been any changes that I’m not aware of?

I’m seriously done with HOME. IT SUCKS, You won’t honor prizes that are to be given out to people. No voice chat makes it a very lonely experience and the lack of anyone with any sense of responsibility running the thing.
That is what is wrong with HOME and you should FIRE a COUPLE PEOPLE so that maybe someone like me would be in charge and really start to shake things up. I have applied for that Home Community Manager position that you emailed me last week. (not you directly but Sony sent it to me.) Never know there Locust and Cydonia, I might just be your boss some day…………
Nice we’re starting to see events that not only are trying to get folks into Home, but could only really be done in an app like Home.
Ummm Second Life and There have been doing stuff like this for 10 years. Not original and can be done way better on a high end PC. Heck the Sims is better than this at times.

Nice what you’re doing for the gamers, but what’s with the UT-III-titan-pack? No News at all, but obviously you figured out TODAY (release-date) that it will finally be released on 19th of march? Thx a lot guys for letting me search for it and not even leaving a message, THAT’s exactly what I was waiting for; simply ridiculous…
ummm what was up with this event. i was in the gamers lounge from like 930pm EST till like 1115pm EST and never once did the 2 people that were supposed to show up, show up. everyone that was in this “space” was upset.
We hear that often that “cool stuff is coming” and also “it’s right around the corner”, haven’t seen any cool stuff yet, just more 3d chat rooms popping up!
I think the one of the main problem for me is the fact that Home loading is not instantaneous. I now that technically it’s probably difficult for that to happen, but it would be great if you just logged in and jumped directly in your apartment in a few seconds…just that one room…..while other areas automatically download in the background if they need to be. Then from there invite friends over to chat and to launch games. Right now what my buddies and I do to save time we just quickly start a chat room. It’s a quick set up…people get their invite…they accept…get in…we talk about games and what we want to play and ….go. I guess the main issue is to insure that future games and maybe a few current ones (via patch) implement a UNIVERSAL party system, so that you are always in the same team (depending on the number of players allowed in a game …of course). Killzone 2 could really use that right now…….Now that would be sweet!!!!!!!!!!!
But I’m sure most of you guys at Sony have already discussed similar scenarios…..but I hope things get better with HOME sooner instead of later.

This is gonna rock, Its great to see Capcom’s making a comeback go SF IV! go and I hope RE 5 is gonna be a lot better then what 4 was.
what the … ? Did they lie about the RE5 stuff at the mall ? Do we have to play RE5 to get RE5 stuff ? If this is true, well…. at least dont lie to us
Sweet news! But alas…when I turned on my PS3 this morning, it answered me back with a flash of yellow and then the dreaded blinking red light…..sigh

Anyone else think it’s eerily soundless in the Gamer’s lounge? All of the other spaces have nice ambient noise in the background, chatter, etc. but the lounge of all places is completely silent…
COOL!!! Two weeks in a ROW with new game spaces in Home!!!! I hope this trend continues!!!! This is GREAT!!!!

As a private beta tester, I can honestly say that Home has ALREADY come a far way, and I know for sure that Home can only go further!!!

Where is Helicopter Hit? I was really looking forward to that when TedTheDog announced it but I guess it was only for Europe. Like always, the US version of Home is the most lacking.
..as soon as they got to my instance my PS3 froze up.. and of course I couldn’t get back into the server since it was full.. I’m not really a big street fighter fan anyway, i don’t know what I would even ask them.
When I first entered the new Resident Evil Game Space, I was kind of let down… But, after exploring a bit, I saw that there were definately places where the developers wanted to continue their Home support! I saw things like big posters that say “NEW Treasure Hunt Mini-Game coming SOON!” and I saw a mysterious locked room which contains archives on everything related to Resident Evil. (With a catch of course, you have to own Resident Evil 5 in order to view the archive content!) I even saw an arcade cabinet that you can only play when the Resident Evil 5 game disc is inserted into your PS3!
I like where Capcom is going with this space… though it’s not anything amazing, it’s different. Capcom is exploring the types of things developers can actually do with home! And, I like how they plan to have continued support for their game space. Unlike most other game spaces… In those the devolopers create the space, and then forget about it…
Anyways, just a heads up to everyone… While not revolutionary, Capcom is at least helping to make another step further into the real potential of Home!
I would also like to point out every time you guys say tip of the iceberg. I think of the Titanic and we all know how that turned out. Plus is the tip of the iceberg the beginning or the end? Cause it was the side of the iceberg that caused the damage to the ship. Chicken or the egg syndrome if you ask me.
I would suggest comparing it to the sun just beginning to peak out from behind the darkness like in Sunrise Earth shows on TV. Having the end goal of a Country Time lemonade commercials.
You should have mini games in home like find the “something” i dont know just silly little games my kids can play they’d love it! between your freinds you know!

LOL, you’re kidding me: First the Epic-thing, then Street Fighter costumes aren’t downoadable in Germany as well as THERE WON’T BE Resi5-Space here too, Skate-2-online isn’t compatible to the Rest of the world etc… You did not even correctly answer an e-mail of mine!

I’m a passionate and upright gamer for years now, always trying to support Sony and the gaming-scene as much as I could; but I guess I’m off now. There aren’t any reasons for the Germans or me to check out your online-store or Home as well, persuade me if I’m wrong…
Result: I will not visit this Page again watching things I’ll never encounter; and btw, obviously you don’t need people like me.
