Its not sony that has full control of these movies. Of course you are gonna give it a rating of 1 so you will never get the service because they will think you dont want a service you dont even have.

One question, I can’t see the Video Content in the PSN Store either… And I am in Chicago. I though the icon was in the top left corner but it is nowhere to be found…
Why is that? Someone knows? It this because I have no credit assigned to my account?
just a thought, but they should have a free section in the video section of the store.. and the movie trailers should be in that section also, rather than on the gaming side of things… itd be cool to see a few freebies now and then in the shows and movies area..

I can understand why this isn’t in Europe since that’s handled by SCEE. But really, where is the Canada support? SCEA deals with all of North America.
Is the content linked to our PSN accounts yet, or do we still lose it all if our HDD’s fail?
Excellent selection as always, however a continued 1/5, both because of the lack of response to repeated “when’s it coming to Canada” questions, as well as for the horridly restrictive DRM. If/when this service comes to Canada, I will certainly rent, but will not be purchasing any content.

Sony does not seem to be particularly interested in selling movies over PSN. Instead they focus on rental and rightfully so.
Anyone legally purchasing download movies through _any_ service is setting themselves up to lose everything. They all have DRM. And DRM movies only work as long as the particular license servers for them are maintained. Businesses constantly evolve and change over time, so that’s not going to be forever.
If you want to own a movie, buy it on Blu-ray. If you want to rent a movie, the PSN is a great service for that. This is clearly what Sony is geared to do.
Nobody even listened, sony does not make these movies so they dont own the rights to them and cant just sell them whereever they like. Mexico is also part of north america but only canada whines, but go ahead keep giving it a rating of 1 and you will never get the video store, 1 means you dont like it, yet dont even have the service they will look at that and decide hey they dont need this service. The ones that rate it a 1 and dont got the service need to grow up. On a side note do they even sell these movies in the other places, just wanna know?

I got a question how can we get so many diffret movies and not 1 PSone game for download? On A Playstion Video game console.Smothing smell’s fishy. Also I live in USA and have only download 1 thing on video side and spent about $80 on the game side. So people in canada your not missing much and Blueray is much beter with there bonus features download’s don’t have them.And this service is only good if you rent alot wich I don’t I have P.C. :)

I wish this was all available in the Canadian PSN. Right now there is absolutely NO full TV shows or movies. I know it’s not only Sony’s fault, but more the idiotic Canadian Content laws. What I don’t understand is, if I can rent ANY of this content from Canadian video store why can’t I rent it through PSN??? It’s quite ridiculous.

the tv shows and movies should have the option of being watched streamed… add commercials just like how hulu is and the psn would be so much better. make it so that you can only stream the last 5 episodes (just like hulu) and then you have the option to purchase it, if you want to keep the episode. even the movies on hulu are free.
