  • Why is the PS1 Classic label not supported as much as say the Wii’s Virtual Console anyway? I mean really… how much effort does it actually take to slap up a few 10 year old games every week or 2?

  • @251 sony cant get a simple DLC file thing to work properly so how will they get a full game to work every week

  • In case you don’t plan on doing so, can you please post the High-Resolution images of the Helghast and Sev costumes that show off the front and side of the costumes. Just to compare:
    The High-Resolution model of Kai:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/playstationblog/3351047403/sizes/o/in/set-72157610932967156/
    The in-game model of Kai:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/playstationblog/3309706821/sizes/o/in/set-72157610932967156/

  • Sorry I kept posting because my comment “awaits moderation.”

  • BE QUICK THE COD MAPS ARE WORKING BUT I DONT KNOW HOW LONG FOR :)

  • Can you please tell me something?I want to buy wheel of fortune. Is it multiplayer? Also can 2 players play with one controllor? If so,please reply cause if 2 players can play with one remote, then I will buy the game>

  • In case you don’t plan on doing so, can you please post the High-Resolution images of the Helghast and Sev costumes that show off the front and side of the costumes. The ones posted on the PS Blog a few weeks ago were just the in-game models, and don’t look as good the High-resolution images that show off the front and side of the costumes (like the Kai and Buzz images just posted on the LBP DLC Flickr page). I think the Killzone costumes are some of the best looking LBP DLC costumes so far, and it would be very disappointing if these two were some of the few costumes that didn’t have their high-resolution images posted (most of the other costumes do).

  • @251 Maybe its about time they invested in some new servers.

Seriously though, I’d like an answer to this question. Why aren’t more PS1 games on the Playstation Store? Legal issues? Whats the deal here?

  • Everyone, seems to be somewhat up a lil. I was able to download Wheel Of Fortune, LBP Kilzone Pack, UT3 Titan Pack and SF4 Pack

  • thank god!the store is almost(ALMOST) back to normal.

  • Is the Midnight Club: LA content in the premium pack labeled wrong on here?

It shows the 2008 Audi S5 and the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT on this blog post but neither of those 2 on the PS Store description?

    Which is correct? Thanks! :)

  • Guys, kids,…..calm down. Problems do occur here and there. The PSN Team is doing everything they can right now and it will be fixed soon. As for the PS One Classics, its easier said than done. Bringing them to the PSN is like bringing them to another platform (the PSN is another platform)and that takes some times because they have to be re-rated by the ESRB and so on. Yes, the European and Japanese PSN Stores have more, but thats because they go through a different rating system. John Koller from SCEA Product Marketing already said that they are going to work more on bringing PS One Classics from Sony and third-parties to PSN….so relax and wait. The one thing I noticed about Sony is that they are slower at starting things, but once they start, they’re on a role with releasing things (Hrdware, Software, Content, and Services). I bet that in the near future we will see a ton of PS One Classics on PSN and Sony will update the PS3 Firmware and add a PS2 emulator and we will see PS2 Classic games on the PSN and quite a few of them as well.
Anyways, thats how I look at it.
Keep up the good work SCEA.

  • Hey Jeff why isn’t the US getting Outrun?

  • @ 249

LOL, seriously? Threaten Sony to sell your PS3? You won’t, don’t even act like you will.

  • cant wait to get the kz2 mini pack for lbp

  • When do we get CATAN ???

  • Any word on when we get the UT3 Titan pack in Europe?

  • I am just waiting for my Red Sox theme, other then that keep up the good work guys!

  • Capcom!!

Please add trophies to Bionic Commando: Rearmed

I’ve been holding off on playing it, because You said Trophies were in the works. :(

  • Yeah, would be nice if all regions got equal treatment… Seems Canadians complain a lot about the store, I’m not sure why they don’t get what we (US) have. I’ve seen that the Hong Kong store has some classic PS1 games that we don’t have, and I’m still waiting on Crystal Defenders like almost everyone else here… All I got out of this week was the LBP Killzone pack and the UT3 Titan pack. Sony should be working on a “global (sony) culture” where we can all praise the PS3 equally, not a “regional culture” where each region gets what is culturally normal for them. I doubt we’re getting Gomibako for this reason.

  • nice freakin update.. keep em comin

  • great update love the CnC RA3 demo that’s going to be a great game. now i’m just waiting for Final Fantasy: Crystal Defenders and The punisher any news on those 2?

  • When is Playstation Europe going to be on par with America? Buying a playstation 3 in US sounds great but I’ve been dissapointment with the lack of downloads and options availble for Europe. Should be released at same tiem or very near when US releases new stuff in the same way that tv shows in the US are now released at the same time as UK to stop people downloading from other countries.

  • Jeff.

Many are wondering what is Sony’s plans for the Greatest Hits library. They haven’t added anything in a long time, that I have seen (maybe burnout Paradise). When are we going to get a regular schedule of games being added. I’ve waited 18 months for Uncharted to be added, and don’t make me wait 18 more months (please)for it to be GH collection. I refuse to buy used (period) to get the price I want.

  • This is ridiculous. This is the second week in a row we’ve been told about the Patapon 2 demo on the PSP, and if it’s there, I’m not finding it.

  • I mean trailer

  • Merissa it’s there, 6 down 3 to the right (from left), right below Fifa 09 Add-ons, the demo is available to people who pre-order, and I’ll tell you it’s worth it, you get to transfer all of your saves to the full game.

  • *if you look at New Releases, and right below the tiles on the left is the # available (currently 112) the Patapon video is #28.

  • what the hell is gomibako

  • im mad because the midnight club south central update takes such a long time to download

  • Poopypirate Gomibako means garbage, it’s a PSN title where you have garbage that you stack up like Tetris, but each object has a physical property (trash can will squish a bag, etc.), google it.

  • @270, Us Canadians are usually complaining about the lack of a video store which in truth is ridiculous. They’ve had plenty of time to work out any copyright issues or anything like that, Apple did it with iTunes so it’s not impossible…

  • can’t believe that Sony would not update their PS Store as frequently as the Europeans are. All we have in the PS Store is junk compared to the European’s PS Store

  • [This post ONLY refers to this week’s PS Store for PSP Update.]

Though I’m not interested in anything from this week’s PS Store for PSP update, I’d still say it’s a pretty decent update nonetheless. Thanks anyway.

  • I know this is SCEA but could you guys like… send someone over to SCEE to show them fools how to actually serve their customers? I know its also about earning money but if the customers ain’t happy they will go away and here in europe I’m not happy >.> I always have to wait 1 extra day for the american store to update to get stuff that is actually worth getting. it’s getting really sad.

    oh and nice update :).

and ps >.> could you also poke them with a katana or something to make it clear we want PSN cards :) ty :D

  • cool updates…..

  • This is probably white noise, but here it is anyway: Add more PS1 games already!

  • Great Update when is GH:metallica Demo Coming out. Xbox 360 got it yesterday?????? I Think we should get it first cause sony kicks Microsofts butt any day. let me know

  • Question…why when I download something off of PSN I have to install it afterwards???

  • What I dont understand about playstation is the fact that if we want to buy something from the playstation store we have to use our credit cardor some type of bank card …, why cant we just be able to buy points and put it on our psn accounts it will help and bring alot of money to playstation making them create more games please playstions reply

  • @290:
Buying PSN Cards is one way to buy PS Store content without using a credit card/bank card. They’re available in denominations of $20 & $50 and they’re available in the U.S. at stores such as Target, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Walmart, & Speedway.

  • we need an infamous demo. i cant wait for that game

  • What happened to Fat Princess? There’s been no new information on it for… a long time. And it looks like a very fun title. It’s my most anticipated game of this year.

  • dear sony i was wondering when will resident evil 1, 2, 3, dino crisis, mental gear1, silent hill coming to the usa psn store? these games been out for a while now in the asian stores. I curois if they will be ever released in the us psn store. i tried buying them with my usa credit card but it wont let me i would the chance to buy these games plus certain japanese games that never seen before in the usa please make psn contant alivalble for all regions for purchase. and bring back backwards compaiblity my ps3 is bring back wards compatible and it does a graet job playing my 200+ ps2 games

  • I think if sony is going to contuniue to put games out, they should at least have aan archive /server for the games they take off of the store, it makes it more difficult to get a game that a person wants if they don’t do that, and im sure im not the only one thats feels this way!!!

  • I also belive sony should dropp their prices on games just a little bit, I’m permanently disabled and get a measly 800. bucks a month, that just squeezes me by so i dont get to buy game like everyone else, I have three mental disorders,so it should be affordable for everyone

  • WipEout Pulse DLC PLEASE.

  • the PSP needs to put out the r.e. games on to dowmload

  • i cant get call of duty map pack 1?
    someone help…
    its not in the store…
