Hi everyone! The weekend’s almost here, and that means it’s time for your weekly update of the new movies and TV shows available on PlayStation Network.
And for all you Battlestar Galactica fans, this is just a friendly reminder that the series finale will be available for purchase (in HD or SD) on Saturday, March 21 (The day after the show airs!). In fact, the entire finale season, along with full seasons 1-3, are available. Picking up from last June’s jarring cliffhanger – the Colonial fleet and their new Cylon allies led by Admiral Adama and the Galactica crew discover Earth to find it a barren nuclear wasteland – the finale season promises to be rife with drama, action and revelation.

That’s a lot of TV content,when is the discovery channel going to get updated with Dirty Jobs or Wreckreation Nation.
You guys are doing an awesome job getting quality content on the store! But can single episodes be reasonably priced considering the restrictive DRM? I’d pay what you are asking if it was DRM-free, but the way things are now the episodes need to be cheaper.
Are these available in UK PSN too?
You guys need to release this for the UK store, any news on that at all?
I wished the T.V. Seasons were packaged together instead of each episode sold seperately. Be nice to just make a one time purchase and sit back when I can to enjoy. But none the less yall doing a awesome job, keep those titles coming :)

I read on joystiq yesterday that the pilot episode of Kings is free in hd or sd is this true?
Until Sony releases this for Canada, I’m going to have to use iTunes to download my movie content…any word Sony?

Great update, may download some of the Spongebob episodes. The Video store rocks, I like how you can buy individual episodes, though I do wish you also had the option to buy whole seasons as a discounted rate. And maybe have a monthly suscription service for rentals.

The CRTC recently held their “new media hearings” to discuss video over the internet. The CRTC listened to all sorts of companies, ranging from Rogers to Google/YouTube to the CBC.
Where was Sony? I’ve been following it in the news, and every media company *except* Sony was mentioned! Hello, Sony? This directly affects Sony’s ability to do business in Canada, I’d expect they would take more of an interest into it.

I’d love to get ahold of an HD Version of each while I wait for the Bluray set to release.

How about some captions? Galactica is notorious for having characters whispering a lot…I always watch it with captions. Will subtitles be added to the video content in the store anytime soon? It would be great for people to be able to download it with optional english, spanish or french subtitles.

I really want to watct BattleStar Gallactica. The problem is the $1.99/2.99 per show.
Maybe this is somewhat reasonable for the episodes in the current season, but it’s crazy to ask people to pay that when they get other TV shows for free On Demand or on certain websites. Plus, when the DVD collection comes out you can rent it for $3-5, all episodes.
I checked yesterday and the entire first season of BG cost $26+ to rent from the PS Store.
Don’t worry Microsoft is just as bad on the pricing and they also do it so you always have unused Microsoft points. I’d be down for digital distribution if you guys could get the prices more inline with other sources.
Quick question.. Do you know if there are any plans of adding the George Lopez show to the store? Only the 1st and 2nd season are on dvd, if yall added all the seasons I’m sure people would buy them, especially since they can’t on dvd.. I know I would.

Hopefully this will come to Canada fairly soon. I know it took the 360 a while after they launched their video store for it to come to Canada. We still do not get TV shows though. I do not rent alot of movies, but probably 1 or 2 a month.

Please get over yourself, there is nothing sacred about that painting and it isn’t like the show is rewriting the bible or anything. There isn’t a single blasphemous thing about it. The fact that you can’t see beyond the image it portrays for what it is saying about the final season of battlestar galactica just goes to show you just how little you know about what it represents.
The acting on BG is some of the best on television and I dare you to give me a show that has a better cast with a better on screen chemistry than BG.
The story unparalleled, outclassing even shows that attempted to do the same as BG including Babylon 5.
From beginning to end BG is a masterpiece.
After today I will not look at the comments left on the blog. Alot of the comments are people whining from Canada or Europe.

Canadians I can understand since they are grouped with NA a lot seems kind of silly to have so many things between the US and Canada that gets hindered by laws. However Europe should go to the European Blog and complain to them.
SCEA is not responsible for them and all they can do is forward stuff to SCEE. I’m sure the Jeff Rubenstien Clone they have on the Euro Blog is far better equiped for Euro affairs.
What can we say the Euro’s frequent our message boards too. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the European PS Website.

Seeing all these new TV shows is making the DRM issue so much more depressing. Now that PSN is so well stocked, I could honestly drop my cable, and move from Xbox 360’s market place without ever looking back. Unfortunatly, until I can own the content I will never purchase from your store. The risk of loosing everything I buy with one swift blow is to scary. I need the security of knowing that I can delete and download TV shows that I have purchased, as needed.
So please Sony. One DRM system across the whole network.
