Called Xi , the adventure takes place in a series of secret areas in Home – and beyond – changing day by day, week by week, in real time. Anyone with a PLAYSTATION 3 can join in the fun for free.
To discover the mystery of Xi, simply log on to PlayStation Home and look for the graffiti on the wall in the main square. Find that, and all will be revealed….

Just silly that Sony is still working on Home when they should be working on the PSN to take down XBL. They really need to up the service for me to give a poop.
This thing was alright then I got stuck on the Holopad and couldn’t get off so I logged off. Just silly to see Sony wasting so many resources on stuff that many “not all” users will use.
I guess what I want to see is an option to load Home right from startup. I think that would be a better option and might get people more excited about it.

Far too many times, I get up from my PS3 to get a coffee or something, and I come back and apparently have missed a game invite or something.
If there were only the option to show in your XMB in the top right corner, or next to your battery life or -something… to show when you’ve missed a message. That would be great.

I thought the whole Xi thing started way back in February around the time you guys did that iloveninjas contest… Or was that just the fake ARG and this is the real one? I’m so confused.

Interesting feature about more to do in Home. I was really looking foward to more activities but my PS3 is out of commission right now, some luck. How long will XI last becase I dont want to miss out on this.

I wish i had time to investigate. I really wish Home would give us the Watchmen costumes. I’m a huge watchmen fan and liked it way before the movie was announced. When I found out that the Watchmen costumes were UK only I was and am very upset.
cyd, your can’t be still playing Xi, took me 5 minutes to solve the first puzzle, so how does this work exactly, we do one puzzle a day or can we solve the whole thing right away? if it’s a puzzle a day, then i have nothing else to do in home after solving the first, boring!!!
next puzzle is “coming soon”, or “right around the corner” i guess

Home… I won’t complain because it’s free. But remember, you get what you pay for.
I love my PS3, but I think Sony just needs to write Home off. It is really a waste of resources. Just make the XMB function with Party Chat and other features. Please stop dumping money and time into the failure that is Home.

All that stuff is still in development, game launching started with Warhawk and should be supported by all future game spaces now. It takes time, but we haven’t forgotten about all the stuff that our users really want!
So Cyd when you said that did you mean that game launching will only work in game spaces for that game. For example game launching will only work for Killzone 2 until after their in a Killzone space, a patch for Killzone 2 and only when your in the Killzone space. So you would not be able to do it in the Bowling Alley?
PS: Did you ever find time for the those donuts?

I hadn’t heard of Xi before this post, but I have got to say that I am GREATLY impressed! I’m really hoping that I can do some more of those tasks tomorrow though!

XI at least makes up for that 50 Cent garbage that is up on Home now. If XI will be getting daily updates (hopefully other Home stuff too) then it will have me coming back to it everyday.
Does anyone on the Sony team have any information on the next firmware update for the PS3? Like dates, information, ect.
I have a very simple request nothing to big, I just want the Photo Gallery icon to be moved below the Playlist icon so that it will end up being bellow the XMB Photo cause it bugs me where its at, it feels like its in the wrong place. Hope you’ll move them around on the next update I know its dumb to ask but I’m a need freak and the icons just feel out of place the way there set up. Thank you……..
I cant log into home since the playstation store update the thursday when it was down…
After i log in playstation home, i can see the message of the day, and after the progress bar says updating purchased items, appears the legend “There has been a problem downloading content”
So i deleted the profile save and the one in game data and i cant login in any of my ps3 accounts

It’s not just Voice chat cross games.
It would be great to have it at all times until you end the private chat session.

@Xerox, never. That was patented by Microsoft so devs have to decide whether or not to add custom tracks to their game.

– Please remove all the icons/tabs that can’t be used. I reckon it would also save you guys some RAM-memory.
– Please add a sound when receiving a message.
– When notified of a new message, please let us go directly to the message when we press the PS-button.
– Please let us create groups in the Friends-tab so we can arrange our Friends (‘Clan’, ‘Family’, ‘Friends’, ‘Killzone 2 players’ etc).

PRIORITY #1: let’s get PSN to match every feature on XBL:
-Voice messages (at least up to 15 sec)
-Party-system (link with upto 8 ppl to launch into games together and stay on a dedicated voice chat channel)
-View Friends’ Friends
PRIORITY #2: let’s get PS Home to have all the functionalities mentioned above PLUS media sharing. AND FOR GOD’S SAKE REDUCE RELOCATION AND STARTUP LOAD TIMES IN HOME!!!

Also: If you add some sort of gamelaunching/game-joining/party-system in Home, PLEASE let us also use it through the XMB, so we don’t HAVE to boot up Home first (too much loading screens before we’re in the same room with Friends!).
This Xi stuff is pretty fun, just gotta be sure to get up early enough in the mornings to do all the new puzzles before people post spoilers everywhere lol. :D

#1 & 2 confirmed? I hope they work across all games that support in-game XMB. I could understand if #3 didn’t since games would need to have Home support.

We definitely need a sound notification if we get a new message while in-game. Also the ability to see our custom XMB while in-game.
@ chubigans does this patent actually exist though? Has Sony or Microsoft confirmed it’s existance? Even if the patent does exist it only means Sony can’t deliver custom soundtracks the same way Microsoft does. I do believe giving the option to developers to include custom soundtracks is pointless. Ok, quite a few games support it now, but there are still dozens more that don’t. Instead of giving it to developers, why can’t Sony give us custom soundtracks direct from the XMB **or** if this patent does exist, why can’t we select custom soundtracks from the PSP, IPod, Home or Life with Playstation and then launch a game. If there is some technical issue to do with the PS3 then why can’t Sony make custom soundtracks mandatory like they have with trophies. Custom soundtracks is just as important as trophies in my view. I for one want to listen to my vast music collection when playing racing games such as Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Race Driver GRID.
