Knowing this game was coming made me buy a PS3. I have favored the 360 since it’s launch, but with some of the great games that have come out recently, and are coming later this year, I have definitely been spending more time on my PS3 than my 360. I am sure this game will be the system seller the last two were. You guys have really continued to improve this story with each release, and I can’t wait to see what you guys have up your sleeves with this next game. Also, the first two on Blu-Ray would be great, but if you do, I think the only thing that would justify the expense would be some graphics tweaks and higher resolutions. Keep up the good work, and do some more HD wallpaper! Preferrably with some INSANELY hot voluptuous women included ;)
Hey, thanks for asking our opinion, I hope they release on BD or DVD, both original God Of War 1 an 2, if they do, I’ll get the Collector’s Edition for sure , I never played 1 and 2 , but I love greek mythology and I keep hearing good stuff about this game.

I would definitely love to get GoW 1 & 2 that are fully compatible and playable on the PS3 as part of the Collector’s Edition. My PS3 is partially compatible with PS2 games, but I’m still very hesitant to get GoW 1 & 2 and find out they fail at crucial moments of gameplay or FMV.
Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the soundtrack for GoW2. It would be great too if the GoW3 complete soundtrack were included as well.
ALSO! If you guys end up doing t-shirts, make sure you offer them in double and triple X long sizes ;) Some of us are quite big boys. Myself being 6′-3″ 250 lbs.
God of War 1 & 2 Blu-Ray!!!
So here is thoughts on the idea of a special/collector edition…and this is a person who buys many games. I LOVE the idea of a special edition from a content standpoint. I love getting the extra content (behind the scenes stuff, deleted content, bonus game content, etc…) but I never understood why they needed a special edition to do this. For me I think ALL games should be special editions. Now I know that doesn’t exactly make them special anymore, but who cares it is the content that matters not the moniker of “special” or “collector”. All the content should be available to everyone without the extra charge.
GoW on BR I personally am not sold on this yet. I have all the games, a PS2 and a BC PS3, so unless the BR experience offers me more than HD upgraded graphics, I don’t really need it on BR. Although a PS2 game, GoW looks good on my PS3.
I would prefer a seemless movie experience instead of a compilation of all the cut scenes. They would be upgraded to HD, and scenes would be added for smoother transition and story telling. I think Kratos deserves his own High Def movie even if we’ve already seen it!
Exclusive downloadable content but I believe everyone who plays GoW 3 should have the same great and exciting experience and not feel as if they are missing something because they did not (or could not) shell out more money for a CE.

Kratos in my PS3! Maybe he inserts himself into some of my photos when I’m viewing, his voice comes on when music plays, or if I’m playing another game he tears up the screen demanding I should be playing his game, he’ll send messages to my PSN account if I die too many times, You Suck!

I already have the first two, but seriously, it’s a GREAT idea to include the original games into a Collector’s Edition.
Gamers that are new to the series (not sure how they call themselves “Gamers”) will absolutely want that package.
Behind the scenes content and goodies will also be a great idea.
I think the soundtrack thing is fine, but not a huge deal to me.

You could add exclusive trophies to GoW1 and 2. Buying the CE would be the only way to get these games and trophies. A lot of people love trophies and having them exclusive would make people go nuts :D

GOW 1 and 2 on blu-ray would be great, but I would much rather have the ability to play ALL my ps2 games on my 160GB PS3!!!!

i am really hoping for that GOW I and II pack. that would be awesome for new fans. but it should probably come with something else as well.

Not only would it be cool to have God of War I and II re-released and included on Blu-ray with God of War III, but it would be even better if you added Trophies to those games as well. This would really make the collector’s edition even more worth it even if you do own the original PS2 games.
It would also be great if there were Home unlockables to earn as well.
I wonder if the God of War 1 and 2 games on a blu ray disc would be presented in 720p….hmmmmm

Seriously guys vote a 10 fow GOW 1 and 2 on blu ray. I already own both but I can’t play them on my PS3 on a HD tv. So yea.

Hey I just filled out the survey. I just want to say THANK YOU! for the wallpaper, it kicks ass. And I think a full game soundtrack, exclusive packaging, and GOW1 and GOW2 on blu-ray is a must have for the Collector’s Edition. I really hope you guys come out with a GOW3 P33 like MGS4 did. Also a t-shirt and a badass Kratos action figure would be nice.

There is something I’d like to add in regards to one of the options – access to downloadable content.
If this is to be included in the CE is there anything SCEA can do to make sure that the same CE and the DLC is released in other regions like Europe?
I know the CE for this game will kick ass and I want it day 1 but we’ve lost out on some things on this side of the pond, most notably the Resistance 2 CE. I’d have bought that but it wasn’t available in the UK it seems.
So my plea is that should there be DLC with the CE to make sure it isn’t just limited to the US…PLEASE!

Seeing as though God of War 2 is the ONLY thing that doesn’t work in my PS2 (and I wasn’t about to go replace/repair my ps2 for 1 game) and my PS3 isn’t backwards compatible, I would Much rather have the first two chapters on BR disc rather than the kitsch that usually comes with a SE.
Just to reiterate the comments of many, please leave out the JUNK like keyrings etc which are just TACKY toys that CHEAPEN the God of War brand. Put in the original games. Day 1 release for me.
I think that GoW 1+2 along with Chains Of Olympus should be on the CE disc and those games should support trophies as well.

the dolls and making of are all ok but by far the best ideas would be GOW 1 and 2 on bluray and a keychain. of the omega symbol or of the chaos blade(s).

The only think I would really want for the collector’s edition, would be
-Remastered God of War I & II & CHAINS OF OLYMPUS (Better Graphics and HD, New Levels, Trophies, etc.)- . I just bought the first and I really enjoy it, it’s INSANE, and that would be soooo awesome to be able to play the second and the one on the psp, since I don’t own one, in enhanced versions.
-Free Download Content- would be cool also.

I have never played God of War 1 or 2,only Chains of Olympus. I really liked Chains of Olympus and was considering playing God of War 1 and 2. Now that this is in consideration of being in the collectors edition i will buy this collectors edition no matter what price! Oh and please put trophies for GOW 1 and 2. Please put GOW 1 and 2 in the Collectors edition!
