Oh wow, no PSP stuff today? Yeesh, if you’re not gonna release something good, you could at least update consistantly.

Where is Outrun Arcade?
Its in the UK store or on XBox Live.

Where are the PSOne games?
There in the Japanese store.

What did we get?
Everything the other two PSN stores got, minus the good stuff. :(

Im done with being patient. Im sick of the ps1 classics promise being broken every week and the psp being severly ignored. Sony you are missing out on some mad money.

What a terrible update. Overpriced DlC, no demoes, and no games.

Please give Wipeout Pulse and WipeoutHD some love. I imagine no one is pushing for this, but when I bought WipeoutHD I was hoping for some old-school tracks. Wipeout and WipeoutXL were by far the best games in the series. It was like 10 months ago when Wipeout Pulse was supposed to get some new tracks.

With the apparent love/support for VALKYRIA CHRONICLES I just may have to check that game out.

Schmeidenkamp said:

April 16th, 3:01 pm

Ok two things:
1. I thought there were gonna be trophs for Valkyria? I guess I heard wrong…

2. Last time I posted about this I didn’t get an answer, perhaps this time. But whats the deal with that rumored Dead Rising being a downloadable game for PSN? I mean jesus christ I would buy that faster than you can say ‘yo mtv raps.’

Eden Encore and that’s about it for me. lol

Sekoku said:

#98: The low rating on this post just goes to show how poorly Valkyria Chronicles sold…. it’s really a shame, I love that game to no end. This is the best update in weeks for me.

Hahaha. No. The low rating on the post just goes to show that Sony is dropping the ball. The only thing worth a damn in this update is the VC DLC, and that’s OVERPRICED in terms of not having a bundle price for all three. ($14-15 for two missions and a new mode? Really?)

Don’t get me wrong, I bought them. But besides that there is… Encore? Which has no bundle price for those of us that want to get it + Eden for a little less?

Oh, and a bunch of stuff that most no one cares about.

Sekoku said:

April 16th, 3:06 pm

LBP costume is free and that’s great and all… but I couldn’t care about it. Egypt (which is pay-for) looks better than it, for instance, but good job for the community contest winner, I guess.

And the lack of Outrun really hurts Sony/Sega of America here. I’m not going to buy the 360 version and I’m can’t buy it here so they lost a sale.

Overall a pretty poor week.

BTW Capcom: Release Biohazard 1-3 ALREADY. You have them out on Japan what is TAKING FOREVER to get them here?

Sony/Konami: Same for Metal Gear Solid 1.

Sony/Square: Same for EInhander/Final Fantasy 7/… etc. etc. etc.

I bet there will only be 4 PSX titles this year like there was last year. SCEA is dropping the damn ball on this.

Got another question to those who have downloaded any original PS1 games,

are they reformatted for widescreen or what?

vesra said:

so, david reeves quit SCEE, did he get hired to work SCEA now, seems the tables have indeed turned for the worst in the US store as of late. what is going on here?

Techtite said:

I’ve owned a PS3 since launch and this is the first time I’ve felt the need to complain about a PSN update. No demos? No games? Yet worst of all:

…NO Galactrix? Come on; it came out for Xbox Arcade last week. You even teased us with a video of it “coming soon” last week, and other sites like IGN updated their due date schedules for PS3, insisting you’d be on the ball and release Galactrix today. I was really looking forward all week to this one. I would have preferred to play it via PSN, though with all due respect; if you don’t release it next week you’ve made a sale for Xbox Arcade. I’m done waiting.

Axecution said:

April 16th, 3:17 pm

lmfao. What the hell is this? xD

Definitely the worst update since that long like, 5 week period where we practically got NOTHING.

Roverxk9 said:

April 16th, 3:18 pm

ack, 4.99 for each VC DLC? Wow. I might get it anyway because I really love VC and I want to promote a sequel, but I do feel insulted. Burnout has released waayy more content absolutely free. Sega should take some notes…rather than turn your biggest fans away from you, maybe make them love you even more…maybe im crazy.

TwinDad said:

@100- Xoonaka

The poor rating is for what you would expect a DLC only update. While the DLC is high quality, the price seems ot be climbing as well.

[This post ONLY refers to this week’s PS Store for PSP Update.]

Looks like a bad week at the PS Store for PSP owners like myself. Hopefully, this won’t be a repeat of the dreaded “Post-Firmware 5.00 Update Drought”.

For those unfamiliar with this, the PSP section of the PS Store received little to no updates for about a month or so that 5.00 update last October (which made it possible to download PS Store content onto a PSP via a wireless internet connection). As a result, such a great addition wasn’t put to great use because of the lack of new PS Store content for the PSP weeks after that Firmware update.

TwinDad said:

April 16th, 3:26 pm

@119 Schmeidenkamp – No it works the exact same as if you put in the PS1 disc into your PS3 to play it.

I’ve played suikoden and it was full screen IIRC. But I also have the PS1 discs for it too. Looked the exact same on my PS3.

polemical said:

The Magic Ball update to 1.01 is live and the DLC now works as expected. Confirmed 5 new trophies, 3 bronze and 2 silver.

All of the Valkyria Chronicles DLC works. Confirmed there are no trophies – but get this game anyway if u don’t already have it!

Crap again..

Outrun available in Europe and not in the US and its exclusive to the “other system”, Trophy support for singstar only in Europe.

I’m so much tired of region-only content. Plus, here in Canada, no videostore. Sony, you must do something because if things going this way I wont buy your next console.

Calendaros said:

April 16th, 3:46 pm

It seems that every time NPD number comes out, the store update reflects Sony’s performance.

Seeing as how the PS3 is clearly failing, it should be expected that the store update will be terrible.
