Let’s just take a second to reflect on how great it is that BioShock 2 is releasing simultaneously on the PLAYSTATION 3 this time around…OK, enough daydreaming about the underwater city of Rapture, because we’re here to tell you just how amazing BioShock 2 is already looking, underlined by a drill-wielding Big Daddy of a main character. Hunting the Big Sisters and utilizing Plasmids to unload a host of destruction, the return of Rapture brings a whole new world of experiences.

We listened last week as a some of the team behind the BioShock series talked about how this sequel came about and how this time around, you can take you Big Daddy outside the indoor confirms of Rapture and explore the surrounding sea. You now have the ability to Harvest or Adopt a Little Sister, and that dynamic will be an important driving force in the game and the incessant hunt for Adam.

And in a few weeks, Jeff and I will hop over to publisher 2K Games for a video interview with some of the brains behind the game. Of course, we’ll need your questions to make that happen. So drop your burning inquiries as comments, and we’ll make sure to get the goods in the very near future.

  • Why should PlayStation fans be excited for BioShock 2 when the Xbox 360 version of BioShock is technically superior and third-party developers are notorious for not embracing the SPUs in concert with the RSX?

  • In terms of gameplay, if we decide to adopt a Little Sister, will the gameplay will always be protect her?

  • its ganna be awesome

  • whens it coming out?

  • Will the game online/offline multiplayer?

    Expected release date?

  • how are you going to balance the gameplay so that if the player chooses to adopt a little sister the entire game will not become one giant escort like the final parts of bioshock were

  • BIOSHOCK 2 IS GOING TO BE SOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME

  • I 2nd smokychan’s question:

“Why should PlayStation fans be excited for BioShock 2 when the Xbox 360 version of BioShock is technically superior and third-party developers are notorious for not embracing the SPUs in concert with the RSX?”

Are the developers making the PS3 the lead platform this time around?

  • I LIKE THIS GAME CANT WAIT…..

  • Why even make a part 2?

I dont understand why anyone would find this game entertaining or attractive.

Who wants to play in an underwater world, where you club mutant beings to death with a pipe wrench, while sticking syringes in your arms like a dope fiend?

Tell 2K Games I SAID they can kiss my azz..

  • What is being done in terms of technical advancement (graphical, physics, interactivity etc.) for Bioshock 2, that wasn’t done in the original Bioshock?

  • “Why should PlayStation fans be excited for BioShock 2 when the Xbox 360 version of BioShock is technically superior and third-party developers are notorious for not embracing the SPUs in concert with the RSX?”

I dont know why are you saying this, when all the reviews tells completly the contrary! Another example of superior version of a game in PS3 is Oblivion.

  • Will their any other big bosses besides the big sister?

  • Sooooooooo…

Now that we are submitting our questions, will there be someone to answer them? Will it be in this post or a future entry?

  • Will the PS3 version run at the same resolution as other platforms. Lets say 720P.

  • Will SIXAXIS be integrated into the PS3 version of the game. For example, if you have a plasmid like the sonic boom equiped, can I flick the controller towards the screen to send a splicer flying.

  • My question is..Is their going to be any exclusive content for either Ps3 or xbox ?

  • i hope no one else asked this but..

whats the significance to exploring the surrounding ocean? will this just to be to expand on the bioshock universe or will it coorelate with the story line, or something else possibly?

  • My main question is about the controls. I didn’t like having the “shooting” on R2 and L2 with no way to change it in the first game.

Will the controls be at least customizable for this one ?

  • It’s been said before and I’ll drive the point home…

    1) Will there be HOME integration supported for Bioshock 2. I remember at one point Bioshock was supposed to feature some HOME integration that never made it to the retail release. I would love to see Big Daddy, Big Sister and Splicer costumes for the boys and girls in HOME!

    2) I’m tired of seeing all these 360/PS3 Graphics and Video Comparisons. What effort is the team taking to make sure we get at LEAST the same experience Xbox360 users receive? Similarly, is there a lead platform for this title?

    3) Are there any plans to support future DLC to extend the life of the game beyond completion?

    4) Will the Challenge Rooms make a return to Bioshock 2?

    5) One thing was never revealed about the main character in Bioshock and that was his visual identity. I’m guessing this is to preserve the ambiguity of the character, however, now that we’re a Big Daddy…can we expect to see more of the character aside from his arms/legs, etc.?
