Hello all! The SCENE Expansion pack was recently released for Metal Gear Online, which came with a ton of exciting new features, maps, and of course two new playable characters, Vamp and Raiden. But there’s even more content coming soon! Starting on May 12th 2009, all players, not just those who have purchased SCENE, will be able to play an entirely new game mode, Race Mission! This mode pits two teams against each other, with the Blue Team searching for and protecting the KEROTAN target, and the Red Team searching for and protecting the GA-KO target. Each time a team passes a check point with its target in hand, a new checkpoint will be generated. If a team drops its target and the target is not retrieved within a set period of time, the target’s position will be reset and the checkpoint will change.
There will also be an exciting new “Patriot” feature available to all players, starting on May 26th. This feature will select a few lucky players every week starting from the 26th, and give them exclusive access to a 5.56mm Hand Rifle with infinite ammunition and no reload. Players will have access to these unique “Patriot” features until the next ranking update. You’d better watch out when a “Patriot” joins your game!
These new features are open to all players, but there’s even more content available in the three MGO Expansion Packs: SCENE, MEME, and GENE. All three are available via Metal Gear Online’s in-game shop and Konami’s shop. Along with all regular methods of payment, you are now able to use the PlayStation Network Wallet payment system.

@89 Yeah me too. I really wish we could load up MGO straight from the XMB instead of loading the entire game first then MGO. They did it for the beta and I am pretty sure they can do it now.
@83 I guess i am a liar. At the time i posted there was 249 people on instead of 300. That includes matchmaking, training areas and lobbys. I am talking UK server here.

It’s just the wrong side of flaming awkward. You even look at the sign up process (not regarding the horrific situation of that at launch), and you have to create a separate username and password, that will be unlike any other you regularly use, because the stupid system won’t accept anything but the most intricate, and obscure details for you to use for login…For one game! Really?!?
For one game, I’m asked to remember these stupid codes, because of your arrogance, Konami? Hell no, will I play that game – At the end of the day, Why Should I? I feel insulted that you demand these extra measures. I’ve no interest in your game, until such time as you sensibly, integrate it into the regular Playstation community.

MGS4 online is still one of the Best and I still enjoy it. Trophy suport is not that big of a deal to me. I would like to have the feature for in game music on the ipod would even be cool. But any way I hope on there one year anniversary they give detail on MGS5. ONLY ON PS3!!!!

Sony is listening to the people about as much as the morons in Washington. The way they continue to ignore us for trophy support and PSN ID’s for this (and trophies for VALKYRIA CHRONICLES) is shockingly stupid. They seriously have no one but their own dumb @$$es to blame for being in 3rd place this gen.
I believe that the trophie support noise is loud and clear, but I realized something…the trophie support was already established in the game (single player mode of course). Getting the trophie support that you can view outside the game would be nice, but as you guys can see, thats not on their priority list concerning all the DLC they managed to dish out. ITS STILL A DAM MASTER PIECE.
Oh yeah, finally the payment system is upgraded. I found that other nonsence too confusing (although I forgot what the old way was all about).

bought this PAL day-1, cleared it, sold it, re-bought as a Limited Edition NTSC with the Blu-Ray disc, watched that, but can’t bring myself to play the game again without trophy support.
I may NEVER put the game into the machine again without trophy support.

You’re talking about 3rd party games, I don’t think that’s Sony’s fault.
But yes, Trophies for MGS4 and Valkyria Chronicles would leave me with a grin on my face for about a week. Other than those 2 games I only wanted Trophy support for Eternal Sonata, and my PS3 gaming would be perfect.

stop asking for trophies please! Its been almost a year and if they havent done it yet they are going to do it. So get over it already. Yeah I suck bad enough at this game to have to worry about a Patriot who is pretty much unstoppable with no reloads well unless I’m the Patriot then thats something else. Then again I’ve never been able to go past level 3 online so yeah i suck and i put alot of time into the game.
If they implemented trophies and integrated MGo with the PSN and got rid of the konami ID system then I would definatly get back into MGO…as of now though it’s just way too much hassle to play it.
Also the single player needs trophies badly.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is a PlayStation 3 Exclusive, which has been in the works for a long, long time, and at almost a year after its release, there is still no trophy support for the game.
I haven’t played Metal Gear Solid 4, or Metal Gear Online, since last fall. If trophies were made available for the game, I would be playing it non-stop. The only other update that would be of an excellent benefit would be the creation of an icon for the XMB to immediately access the Metal Gear Online program off of the MGS4 Blu Ray disc. A hotlink, so to speak.
Please Konami, we can deal with having to have a Konami ID and play off of the PlayStation Network, but please, at least provide us some challenging trophies! Thanks!

Truth of the matter is that Konami can’t satisfy this immature crowd begging for trophies. They’re only here to complain, hence the reason why you see no replies in this thread.
I play MGO all the time, and frankly, I don’t care if it ever gets trophies.
Although, the gun that doesn’t need reloading worries me a little. It won’t stop me from playing though.

As amazed as I was with MGS4, this being my first MGS game. I would love to pick it up again to play, but have no reason what so ever. Since the game has no replay appeal without trophies.

where are the Trophy at
when are they going to put the expansions on playstation network. I have said over and over again, i would buy them if i could on the playstation network. it’s probably the dumbest thing konami has done with metal gear since porting the first one to the nes.
I wish Metal Gear Online worked, everytime I install and update it (and then 50 hours later lol) when i go to launch it, it just crashes my PS3.

They clearly know the #1 thing fans want is trophy support.
Why the EFF don’t they at least address this issue. It is an insult to the team that works on all the MGO DLC as their work is basically ignored by fans, and with good reason.
