Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 at E3 09

Towards the tail end of E3, Team Ninja chief Yosuke Hayashi took time to chat (through a translator, as will be readily apparent) about Tecmo’s other upcoming PS3-exclusive, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Quantum is the other). Yes, I realize E3 ended nearly 2 weeks ago, but editing a video translated from Japanese is its own special brand of fun. Also, this is technically still the latest info about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, as it hasn’t been shown since. Enjoy!

  • x-box owners will be JEALOUS!!! it’s awesome… pretty soon they will realize their system is tapped out… Their games are as good as they are going to get, no more processing power in the system’s architecture to tap into!!

  • “there is not a point where you can call this an easy game, at all” Haahaa! I love it! BRING IT ON!!

  • @Jeff I have a question:

Did they mention if the body dismemberment being toned down from what Ninja Gaiden 2 had or about the same just toning the blood spurts?

I also wouldn’t mind if they gave us DLC to add more to the Blood spurting or something.

  • Will the co-op apply for story mode? Also did you have a chat with Namco Bandai? I’m wanting some Vesperia news for NA.

  • Tecmo, I love your games. Especially the Ninja Gaiden series. I realize the original Ninja Gaiden Simga is about 2 years old, but could u guys provide a patch to provide rumble support. It would make your great game that much better and be a great service to your fans.-Thanks, Tom

  • I agree with #105, Rumble Support patch for the first one would be so appreciated. We know trophys will never happen but come on, give us some love with a rumble patch. :)

  • Can’t say I was 100% satisfied with the original version due to the abundance of bugs and slowdown (alongside some odd design choices). They are taking care of some design issues judging by the trailer, but there are a few kinks still or were rather in the E3 demo.

Namely slowdown and path of the acolyte (easy) seemed to be quite a bit easier with far less enemies. I remain optimistic since it’s still months away from release.

If the slowdown is a thing of the past by release, I’d be super happy as would other NG fans.

  • this updated version will be amazing i never seen so much new content it’s like a new game that’s just coming out.

  • NInja Gaiden Sigma was my first PS3 game and 2 was the only game that tempted me to get a 360. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new weapons and stuff. Just wish we had a release date. I heard a rumor it is 9/30/09
