  • Thanks for the update, hopefully we get Fat Princess soon.

Is MvC2 confirmed to release later?!

  • Decent update

    Thanks Grace.

  • Do want Tubo Grafx16/PC-Engine games. Please do bring them over from Japan(Looks at Japan PS Store). Also don’t wait over a year to do it.

  • @18 I think not so much that Sega doesn’t have any faith in the PS3, and more of the fact they make terrible terrible decisions on a regular basis.

  • where’s the new Killzone Maps this suck

  • This is a cool update. None of you have any right to complain — I have to suffer the REAL drag of the European PSN store ‘update’. >_>*

  • [This post ONLY refers to this week’s PS Store for PSP Update.]

While it’s great to see more PSone Classics on PSN, I wished that more of the better PSone game were considered by SCEA. I’d recommend sticking with PSone Greatest Hits (i.e. Crash Team Racing, Mega Man X4, Vagrant Story) titles and lesser known PSone games that are actually good (i.e. Suikoden II, Tactics Ogre).

As for this week’s PS Store for PSP update, I’m only interested in Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! even though I’m still on the fence as to whether I should buy it or not. Thanks for the update nonetheless.

  • is it just me or is Savage Moon not showing up anywhere in the Store? I also noticed Eden wasn’t in the Sale menu, so I had to find it under “P” for $4.99, but looking under “S,” The only things that appear for Savage Moon are the demo and wallpapers.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    • The games should be there… sometimes there are delays after we publish but hopefully everyone is seeing all the sale games by now.

  • Great update from my perspective, anyways. Picking up at least 2, if not three of the sale titles; as well as Namco Museum. The demos look pretty good as well. LBP skins still suck, however.

Thanks Grace for the timely updates these past few weeks!

  • Awesome game sale!!! :D

Already had Wipeout HD but grabbing Crash Commando, Flock, Savage Moon, and PixelJunk Eden!
Four PSN games for a little over $20, sounds great to me!

  • I’m so happy to see Myst available on PSN and hope that more games like this come out for the PS3 soon!

The Namco Museum is simply not worth it, at all. There’s no selectable graphics filters and the selection of games is WAY too small. Sorry, but while the Home items are great, the trophies don’t make it worth the $10.

To compete with booting into Linux and using MAME, it really needs more games (Miss Pacman, Junior PacMan, at least) and better/selectable graphics filters.

The same goes for the PS1 games — the upscaled graphics in the open source emulators look SIGNIFICANTLY better.

I love retro games and would gladly pay for them, but they require just a *little* more effort to get my money.

  • Still patiently waiting for Numblast.
I will not give up on this! :p

The sales are much appreciated! I think I’m going to pick up 1 or 2 of those games now.
Also some good demos this week too.

  • @58

Regarding Savage Moon, you need to buy it through the game demo itself (also with Crash Commando), the other five you can purchase without a demo, if it had one.

  • Hopefully SCEA plans on picking up the pace for downloadable PSP games.

Where will the incentive be to purchase the PSP Go! when Sony only releases 1-2 old games on the store every week?

  • Why exactly was Fat princess delayed? No one ever said. Plus Trine has been finished for a while. Why is it not out yet? I actually do want to know so I can understand.

  • Why is Myst so much it’s only $5.99 on Iphone and it’s the same exact game.

  • Pulse again. YESSS!!!!
ModNationRacers makes me happy, too. Any of this year’s E3 titles adds WIN to an update.

Damn shame I paid full price for Crash Commando. Good game, but I’d rather pay $5 to ignore it than have paid $10 to not play.

Insomniac, fix Resistance 2’s matchmaking, you!

  • Yet ANOTHER week of exciting updates (mainly because I own Cross Edge and Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires)! The situation is made better with, finally, the Namco Musuem. Now I can finally have unrestricted oldschool Namco gaming on my PS3. Also, think I might get Wipeout, too, but maybe not. Spent too much recently already.

Add in the Disgaea 3 trophy patch today, and this has turned out to be a magnificent week in my PlayStation life. :D

Too bad some whiners would completely dismiss this as a “crappy update” just because it doesn’t feature the specific game/update they want. Some people just can’t be pleased. Must be a sad life to live.

  • A perfect update for a perfect birthday!!! Thanks SONY!!!

  • Will TurboGrafx games be coming to US? Japan got some this week.

  • Can we get an update to the PS3 store that will allow us to sort and search download history? I now have almost 300 downloads on the list and going through it to re-download something is a huge pain.

This would be largely remedied by allowing us to download content from the store page for that title after purchasing it, but I’d still like to have the ability to at the very least sort alphabetically and filter for things that are either demos or not demos. It really is a giant problem, especially with most Blu-Ray games requiring 5GB installs and the hard drives shipping with PS3s being so small.

  • Solid-Snake-Eyes

I was hoping for High Velocity Bowling to be in the summer sale. I missed out last time it was on sale. :(

    • Well, don\’t miss out on one of these titles… we usually only have 5 titles on sale. This time, there are 7 to choose from.

  • Were the Dissidia Demo!?

  • @58

I am having the same problems the savage moon is not showing up anywhere and pixel junk is and other games are not showing in the new games for sell. i have only 4 showing and some graphical glitches.

  • Know what blows my mind, the lack of game demos. Not only do you lose customers by not having one, but moral and hype for those big day one release sales numbers. ALL AAA games should have a demo out TWO weeks before the game is released and other B games should have it out the same day or at most a week after.

  • When does the Killzone DLC suppose to come out

  • Ignore the nay-sayers. The sale is awesome, as always. I’ll be grabbing Crash Commando and maybe PJ Eden.

I really want a few of those new psp games and a demo for trash panic may convince me to buy it as well.

Oh and the free Cross Edge stuff is always welcome. Don’t even have the game yet but I keep d/l these free packs.

Granted some better games for the ps1 would be nice but it’s something at least. Not like we can have FF7 every week.

  • at least I’ll pass some time with the demos I’m just happy to see pulse ^.^

  • wHy Oh WhY DO i HAve $58.49 an for 3 weeks ive yet 2 find something worth buying LBP OUTFITS overpriced skins no levels NO BUY !! PSP games are overpriced no book umd or case an yet were looking at prices of 20 an up i want 2 spend but not on overpriced bull !” @ [ disappointed ) as am i maybe next weeks

  • Great Update for me. Thanks Sony for the promotional prices. It was a good move!

I will get some games for sure.
Have a nice day Grace! :)

Graphics-obssessed gamers are such a nuisance. Retro gaming isn’t supposed to prettied up with anything aesthetic “to suit modern times”. It ruins the experience. Play the game how it was created (and is meant to be played)!!!

  • hey i just read MvC 2 is not coming on july 29 only on xbox 360 thats gay WTF sony u guys suck

  • Superstrokey1123

So is there going to be another sale next week? Kinda sounds that way but its hard to be sure.

  • Is it me or is the PSN getting better and better. Thank you.

  • SAVAGE MOON & CRASH COMMANDO

You must buy them through the game demos.

  • ShatteredRaven77

  • Am I really the only person here who likes the Spec Ops games? lol I had them all on the psone and I’m with Kilvoctu on the whole retro gaming issue. I gotta save my money though. I was really wanting my Killzone 2 dlc!

  • WHERE IS SAVAGE MOON? I WANT TO BUY IT FOR $4.99

  • If Jack Tretton decides to release PS2 DDs. Your first games would be Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30, BLACK, and TWISTED METAL BLACK. 99.99% PS3 fans would agree.

  • another coment please bring
    Marvel Super Heroes
    X-Men vs. Street Fighter
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
    for playsation one classics pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Savage Moon is not on the store (I downloaded the demo a week or so ago – would that cause a problem?).

Also, the icon for PS3 Games on the “Games” page is missing.

  • No Fat Princess

No Marvel vs Capcom (until August 13th)

    No Trine

    No Zombie Apocalypse

No God of War III Themes/Wallpapers
