Hey Everyone,
This is Deb Mars, Managing Producer at SCEA Santa Monica Studio. We know many of you are anxiously awaiting the sweet PlayStation Network arrival of none other than Her Royal Highness: Fat Princess.
You have been very patient, and we really do appreciate all your support. Since E3 back in early June, we and the fantastic development team at Titan Studios have been working very hard to get the fine lady and her beloved subjects all ready for their much-anticipated debut.
So here’s the deal: We have tons of info to share with you, but we want to take this opportunity to let you all ask the questions. So, go ahead…ask us. Let us know what you want to know.
Post questions below in response to this blog entry, and then we’ll gather a bunch of them to put forth to Titan Studios. They will answer these questions directly during a PlayStation Eye video chat interview with our good pal, Jeff R, next week.

Man, I’ve got some questions. :)
I will probably buy this game. (Just kidding… I’ll buy this game with no doubt at all. :3)
– In the latest trailer of Fat Princess I saw that when you carry the fat Princess she doesn’t point in the same direction as your character, but she just points strait against the camera. Will this be fixed?
– Will the game support local multiplayer? If not, are you planning to launch like a Co-op mode Dlc? That would be nice! ;D
– Will the game support Clan-making? For a deep multiplayer game like this it would be fantastic with clans and such.
– Will the game support in-game text-chat? Since the majority doesn’t have a headset I think this would be pretty neccesary so that everyone can discuss strategy and such.
– How much will the game cost?
– And finally the question everyone wants an answer to as soon as possible; WHEN WILL IT RELEASE? WE CAN’t WAIT! <3
(One last question? Do you like cake?)
I have two questions.
Will there be more than one upgrade for each class?
Also, will this game support split-screen/more than one player on the same PS3 (a-la Warhawk?)
Ack! Also, will we be able to somewhat customize/upgrade the classes skill set? for instance, upgrade my healing power as a priest, or my range as an archer?

My question: Will this be an online bug-ridden epic failure like Castle Crashers on XBLA?
I was in the beta and have a few questions.
I’m guessing you guys are delaying due to the problems with massive lag and the gltiches with the princess in the water…if so, will you have another beta to make sure that those problems are gone?
Second feeding the princess took a long time to actually be an effective strat that hardly anyone did it cause it technically took to long and gave the enemy an advantage when they are building up their caps. Someone came up with a great idea of making in the center of the map a cake machine that dispenses super cake for whoever controls it. The super cake would count for like 2 or 3 regular cakes. This idea would promote feeding the princess more often which was the main part of it being called fat princess. Would you be able to implement something like this in the game at this stage?
Are you making improvements to the interface online such as text chat, and being able to cancel looking for a game if taking to long?

Hi, it would be awesome if you could confirm that split-screen is on it’s way via a downloadable update. If I could play this game with just one other person sitting next to me on my couch (like my special lady) it would absolutely be a dream come true. But most of all I just want to know WHEN IS FAT PRINCESS GOING TO BE READY TO ROCK MY WORLD?!
I have more questions!
1.) Is it true that the psp version ‘Fat Princess: Fist Full Of Cake’ is going to have 50% MORE content than the PS3 version?! If so, how is that fair and what are you going to do or say to make me feel better about it?!
2.) How has Titan Studios utilized all this extra time garnered for game development? Have you actually added more stuff to the game or are you just ironing out some unforeseen ‘bugs’?
3.) How much will this game cost?
4.) How soon will we see add-on content/dlc and will any of it be free?
5.) And last but not least: Do you have any job-openings at Titan Studios? I sure could use some work
p.s. I can’t wait to play this game. It just looks like so much fun! I am looking forward to this game more than any other release in the future. (Yes, even more than God Of War 3, Modern Warfare 2, Among Theives, etc…) Keep up the great work and give my big beauty SOON PLEASE! :)

Awesome im Glad to hear this news!!!!, Now I do have some Question that would be great to see answered.
1. *Is there any DLC in the future of Fat Princess?
2. I have seen soccer in the background on a Dev Walkthrough, What kinda game mode is that, and how would that incoperated with the awesome gameplay, Would you be able to shed blood still or atleast Smack people around XD?
3. *How much is it going to cost. Usual prices of DLC? $9.99, $14.99?, if its alittle more that okay
4. Head sets?, Can you use an Playstation Eye Audio on is also?
5. How fat can the princess really get? lol.
6. *It isn’t really delayed is it? Simply summer.
7. *How many maps and Modes is there going to be?
8. Anything special for people who download it withing a certain time?
9.* Will I be able to take screen shots or Record Videos? like in Pain or Rag Doll Kung Fu

Okay, I’ve got a few lined up here:
1. How often do you plan on releasing DLC? Will it be a weekly thing, a monthly thing, or just whenever you feel the need?
2. How often do you plan on releasing new maps? Will it be a schedualed time, or will it be a once in a while situation?
3. Will you be adding new game types through DLC?
4. Do you plan on implementing an in-game tournament/league/ranking system?
5. Will it be a “Select a Room” style online system, or a Match-Making system?
6. Do you plan on releasing maps/game modes aimed at a small number of players, just in case someone wants a fast-paced, intensely fought style of play?
7. Do you plan on adding more single player campaigns through DLC, or just sticking with one?
I see huge potential in this game and I’m very curious to the steps you are taking to reach this potential.
Will there be any offline multiplayer modes? Split screen with AI bots?
Also, will there be an option to set up a private match?

No other question is really relevant. This game is already done and sitting on a shelf. How much longer are you going to make your fans wait until they can get this game in their hands?!

just a few for me… why was it delayed exactly? how long does it take to fix a PSN title….????.. why cant SCEA give us replys to the questions WE ask (your consumers) in the blog. and give us ***AT LEAST*** a time frame or release date… and i already know that all of the people that asked for a release date or time frame will just be ignored…. and its getting very annoying………… and if you dont release before fall/winter i doubt anyone will play it because they will be playing MAG Modern warfare 2 and Uncharted 2…. so you might want to hurry up titan… its a PSN title that has been being devloped for A YEAR how long does it take for a PSN title to be fixed
give us a time frame or release date and there is over 100 people that have asked that and if none of them get a reply i wouldnt be suprised… you ignore all the questions that are ACTUAL questions and its one of the most asked one so why not just give a damn answer and stop being annoyed by it.
Hey, One more question, Any Fat Princess Content thats going to be release in Home. Figures, posters, etc?
P.S. Don’t worry about other disce based releases lol. Can’t compare a PSN title and say its competeing against a Disc based game. All you have to worry about is other PSN titles releases. Im sure Fat Princess will easily reach the top 3 PSN titles. So im sure theres no worry there, and im pretty sure there is not Delay or Problem people. Neither Titan or Epic has release information about delays. Atleast thats what the email from Titan Media support said.

Description:
Look at you! Out in the open in the gladiatorial arena! Fame and fortune await your team, but how far will they take you? WHO WILL BE THE LAST TO SURVIVE?
Rules:
-You start off as a lowly peasant (don’t worry, the peasant’s slap ability CAN kill the early waves of enemies haha!)
-New hats are unlocked as you progress in between rounds
-Before each round, the king quickly suggests which jobs your team might want to take i.e. (3) priest, (2) warrior, (3) mage/archer (optional of course!)
-Some bosses require more teamwork to beat!
-The coliseum CAN change during the fight: parts of it might fall off, trapdoors, water floods, rotating field, etc. (but it WILL turn back to normal when you finish the round)
-After each round, your team gains FAME FACTOR from the audience/king. Allowing you to recieve bonuses based on performance!
-Players are each given thier own lives. When you lose all your lives, you can see your game summary, view the rest of the game, or leave
-Competitive leaderboards!
Firstly when you say a date you should deliver on that date.
Secondly seriously can we have a date and stop trying to buy more time with these interviews.
Thirdly we as the consumer would like to know why the delays and why such long delays?
I was thinking close to what free2play27 said, would the gladiate mode be online multiplayer,or possibly offline, or would it just be bots that join you every so often.

Though I think SirConstantine is being rude and inflammatory, I know a lot of anxious and excited gamers would like to know the same thing.
As for the first and last question of SirCosta’s comment, release dates are rarely ever certain. Physical products, movies, games, music, most release dates are an approximation rather than an absolute. If the product is ready before hand they usually will distribute it early.
Products can be delayed for any number of reasons. Sometimes for legal reasons, as was the case with little big planet. Sometimes to have more time to debug and polish up a game as it was with GTA.
So the question doesn’t need to be why, because the answer will always be “to make it better”. The right question is When (or at least an approximation) will the game be released? and how much?
Please don’t let this game get over-hyped!

This seems like an irresponsible post. I mean they gave us nothing except screens that were already out, no solid information either. All they’re saying is that sometime soon a live interview will take place, and some questions will be answered, no team members have even posted on this thread! What gives?!
My questions are: will there be trophies that unlock more customizable avatars? Is there any plans for expansions or dlc that goes beyond themes and pictures? Will it be done before fall?
