We saw Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny when it was announced for the PSP back in April, and again at E3 where Kratos was officially revealed as a playable character.
Well, this time Namco Bandai stopped by to talk more Kratos, his moves and more, as well as what’s new and exclusive to the first PSP version of Soulcalibur, and you’ll catch some of his gameplay in between my chat with Senior Brand Manager Dennis Lee.

The game looks interesting, but I’ll have to pass, since I don’t really like brawlers. I’m more of a shooter guy.
When I get my PSP Go this is for sure one of the games I’ll be getting.
I was wondering if the PS3 version of SC4 could be updated/patched to have a PSP Connect feature similar to Resistance 2? I would like SC4 to have PSP Connect so that we could play SC:BD at home with a PS3 controller.
What do you guys think about this?

QUESTION: Will a digital version of this be released on 9/1 in the PSN store?
@20.1 Nevermind, Chris. I’ve narrowed it down to being a plugin for Firefox called AdBlock Plus. Most of my friends were experiencing the same issue. The videos seem to be working fine in IE8 and firefox with AdBlock Plus disabled, but not so well with it enabled. It might have been something that viddler changed with their video code to give adblock a false positive, or a filter added by Adblock. Hopefully it gets corrected, I’m a big fan of not seeing ads on my intarwebz.

If only Kratos were in the PS3 version. Just as far as future guest appearances go, maybe a little Altair/Ezio or the Prince of Persia? Until then I guess we have the character editor ;)
@20 that happened to me when i had adblock plus enabled on this website.. i put this website on the ignore list.. and it stopped flashing like that.. give that a shot if you have adblock plus installed

i borrowed my friends psp for awhile i will buy this just to play as kratos for a month
bet you those iphone nerds can’t do this! little big planet, assassin’s creed and metal gear for the psp makes me love my psp more!

Looking forward to this. Kind of wish they hadn’t dropped support for the console versions so soon. Kind of wish the console versions also had a more fleshed out CAS mode like in BD too…here’s hoping for SCV.

The game looks amazing, especially considering it’s on the PSP, and the addition of Kratos was brilliant. Hell, for that last point alone I was considering breaking my ‘no fighting games’ rule, but, unfortunately, breaking that might lead to breaking my PSP. Either way, I greatly appreciate your support of the PSP- you guys rock, make no mistake about it. With the addition of such games as Dissidia, Soul Calibur, Patapon 2, LocoRoco 2, Gran Turismo and LittleBig Planet all converging on the PSP, hopefully you’ll get the sales worthy of your efforts. :) (Hell, I might buy the game for a friend just to support you.)
Oh, and just so it’s clear: I was referring to those other games to point out that PSP may start getting more attention with gaming as the focal point. Not in terms of rough competition. :)

Stay on topic, genius. Wherever the trailer is, I think you can read well enough to see that THIS isn’t it.
Kratos is well received in Broken Destiny. But why not add it to SC IV first!
They still have time to support SC IV with Kratos, unless they are working on a new title.
So far, this title looks epic for being the first SoulCalibur game on PSP. And with the addiction of Kratos, it will mark it’s word for sure.
I watched a trailer showcasing Kratos, and it was awesome!! He was so brutal!! Wait… he’s always brutal. Nevermind, nothing new. :-)
You guys need to fix your video player. I’m not sure what’s changed in the last couple weeks but now if you move the mouse away from the player it flashes white and resets the video.
