  • No avatars? Disappointing. No Fallout 3: Broken Steel either. Double disappointing.

  • Will there ever be any free, dynamic themes or a way to make our own for free. :(

  • about dam time. Why is it that the game section is always late or delay while the video store is always on time.
Sony, Less effort on the video store and more effort on the Game store
    Gaming >>> Video Store

  • Where are the trophies for Piyotama? Also, what about those extra skins we never got?

  • And now I can’t rate these posts…:( I would have rated this a 4…

  • Not bad, would have liked a PS1 classic though……

  • Are game devs/publishers in charge of supplying us with premium avatars for 3rd party games? When will we see the first batch of 1st party games?

  • Where is Trine?

Hey, how about having an open casting call for Playstation Store Update monkey?

At least it’s not Friday this time.

  • When will we see the first batch of 1st party game*** avatars is what I meant.

  • WHERE ARE OUR PREMIUM AVATARS!?!?!

  • Nice update
    Thanks Grace.

  • Bat Country AND dynamic Monsters?? I’m skeptical about $3 for a theme, but I’m a sucker for anything PixelJunk.

  • Very Nice. Just wish that i had game to play. Sweet update though

  • Grace,

Can you comment on the arrival of new Avatars for the PlayStation Store? Something like a timeline of sorts?

  • DISSAPOINTING THINGS HAPPENING WITH SONY THIS ENTIRE WEEK…

  • blah……. update…….

  • What the point of update 3.0 if we are not getting any new avatars. You can at least give up a free dynamic theme.

  • This is a very lackluster update. And those dynamic themes cost too much. Come on, guys.

  • Requesting a Veronica Belmont animated theme in the next month’s issue :P

  • Is there an ETA for avatars? I thought there was going to be some added to section you choose them from, but I didn’t notice any. Also, are all new avatars going to be premium or are some going to be free?

  • Premium avatars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! disapointed =(

  • Will there be any free dynamic themes in the future?

How long before you release some new avatars? Will they be free?

  • What about our free and premium avatars?

  • Where are the avatars?

We were promised avatars. There are no avatars.

  • what about premium avatars? and those dynamic themes sound lame.

  • can you guys add a preview option for the dynamic themes? i dont know if i want to buy certain ones because i dont know if i’ll like it.

  • *sigh* all my enthusiasm for the PS3 is gone again. They finally announced premium avatars and get my attention, and now there are exactly 0. This is *UNACCEPTABLE* It cannot possibly take longer than 20 minutes to make a stupid picture to sell so people can feel a little more unique. Instead of having the same Rachel avatar that 20 million people have. Don’t expect to see any for a very long time. In my opinion, don’t even mention this if you never planned on having any for the first store update. Just add the ability without advertising it, and THEN tell people about it when you’re ready to sell them.

  • Grace, any idea when the new avatars will come?

  • @ Grace Chen

Any chance we can see full music albums on PSN Store? I’d love to see the coming Muse album “The Resistance” on PSN Store.

  • It’s a shame the pixeljunk theme isn’t free, but I may pick it up anyway. Love that game.

  • any idea if the Capcom Pack just released on the PSN will come to the 360? That’s the system I have the arcade stick for :P

  • Glad to see Fate made it out for the PSP finally, probably gonna check that out.

Also, I would of liked to see some avatar support, but guess we gotta wait on that.

  • Wow when are we gonna get RE2 and 3 in the Store? How about some free themes to show off the new feature? Why did Japan get a free Afrika theme with Zebras and we didn’t? Sad stuff… Oh and your “Thank you” email was very touching… it made me want to spend so much more money on PS Store… Usually companies who want to connect with their audience will give out some kind of reward based on how much you’ve spent or something like that, but that’s them and you’re Sony… I know…

  • What’s the point of buying Dynamic themes if you can’t see what they do before you buy them?

  • Ok i know you more than likely can’t answer this but here goes anyways….

why didn’t we in the EU get these themes aswell? i mean come on even the LBP one would have been great. the game is even made in the UK however we get stepped on again by sony so don’t suppose you would have any enfo on the matter due to mike on the EU blog being away for a week

  • What happened to all these ps1 games that were rated by the esrb? Sony, you guys are just not ready with you’re network service…its showing. And i bet that “whats new” section will probably be updated once a month…

  • A little disappointed by the lack of avatars. The dynamic theme selection is a little lackluster too- High Velocity Bowling, really?

  • Wow, another week and no Trine…

I understand they found a glitch that needed to be fixed, but HOW LONG DOES THAT TAKE???

Seriously? Did they just scrap the game altogether? Start from scratch? I don’t understand why we’re having to wait so long for it.

Also, where is the Fallout 3 DLC??? Premium Avatars???

  • Man, you kids live in a constant state of disappointment. That’s your choice of course (and it IS a choice), but could you go ahead and kill yourselves now so I don’t have to read your whining.

  • Virginia Tech football theme, please!

  • Are you serious? There is like nothing good released and on top of it the Capcom Super Pack isnt even in the store. I checked and the other one for $29.99 is the only one there.

  • I was ready to buy games like RE2 and Blood Omen but I will continue my streak of NOT BUYING A SINGLE THING from you guys. O yea, once again another week of no trine. Pathetic

  • Dear Grace,
I believe the dynamic themes need some kind of preview as I’m iffy on buying something before I know how it looks/moves.

Please discuss the possibility of posting preview videos of said themes.

    Thanks.

  • is Battle Tanks online co-op?

  • No new avatars? Sony has had THREE YEARS to get their act together and still, even after an update to supposedly solve the problem, you guys still can’t manage to deliver. These are tiny little pictures. They aren’t difficult. I could make more icons in a day than Sony has offered over three years and they’d still be far better than the toothbrush and electrical outlet icons you guys provide. Seriously, what’s so hard about it? This was getting way beyond ridiculous two years ago.

And why is there still no Call of Juarez demo that XBL and the European store got nearly a month ago?

  • $3.00 for a theme is too much. $1.49-$1.99 and I would actually buy some. None should even be allowed to cost more than $1.99. I understand you’re in business to make a profit, but this is just greedy.

A few free ones too, like the LBP one, for all the support we’ve given buying the game, add-on packs, costumes, etc, etc.

  • Hm… Well… There’s… always next week…?

Certainly didn’t expect the Capcom game packs, hefty though their prices may be. I’m starting to get a little wary of the pay-to-use themes and up-coming avatars. Starting to take the glean away from that “Free” hanging over the entrance to the PSN… I realize not everything should be free, but there should be a limit on these sorts of things.

  • TWO DYNAMIC THEMES… UK/EU got F**k all!!

This is wrong on so many levels.

No avatars and no dynamic themes for EU.

    So much for Firmware 3.0.

  • SWWWEEEETTTTT we get more dynamic themes!!!! And Cool Boarders 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes, finally
