Here’s an update about the status of the MAG Public Beta email vouchers. The first wave of voucher codes for the MAG Beta will be e-mailed to all current Qore subscribers beginning today and continuing over the next few days. Follow the instructions so that you’ll be ready to download the Beta and jump in when the test starts this Thursday, September 17. The email subject line will be:
“You’re in: Welcome to the MAG Beta”
And, the email voucher will look like this:
Remember, you only have 4 days left to get in on the action as the Public Beta entry deadline for Qore subscribers is this Thursday, September 17. Please allow at least 5 business days for delivery once you subscribe.
Qore subscribers will have access to the MAG Beta Test from September 17 through November 8. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10am-1pm and 5-8pm Pacific (PDT).
Once again, here are the eligibility requirements:
- The Qore MAG Beta offer is open to Qore subscribers only, not to single episode purchasers.
- All Beta invitations are restricted to persons 18 years and older.
- We must have your current, valid e-mail address on file.
- You must be opted in to receiving communications from PlayStation.
- Vouchers will be sent to the e-mail associated with the PSN account that purchased the Qore subscription, not to any sub-accounts.
You can update your e-mail address and check your notification preferences via your profile on PS.com or on the PS3 itself under Account Management/Account Information. Be sure that you have “opted in” to receive our communications.
We hope you enjoy the MAG Beta, and don’t forget to leave your feedback at Beta Central by following the instructions in the voucher e-mail. As this is a Beta is a work-in-progress and not representative of the final game, your input is vital.
I don’t understand why the beta isn’t 24-7. When the game actually comes out people are going to be on all the time obviously. Why doesn’t Zipper test how the servers hold up by making the beta playable 24-7 just like every other beta for other games? It just doesn’t make sense to me.
LOL @ #’s 5o and 57..i dont have to play ANOTHER FPS to know if the game is good or not..im sure about teh basic stuff that i mention they didnt have WONT BE IN THE GAME..and thats why i KNOW its gonna suck..its nothing DIFFRENT or BETTER..ooh 256 players playing the same tyme..WOOOPIE..im all about FEATURES..like TANKS TRUCKS BOATS even PLANES..yeah im glad theres WARHAWK and i do njoy it..but i was xpecting Zipper to do WAY BETTER than just 256 players ..its gonna be another crazy ass respawn game like Resistance..but that MY OPINION..so njoy that LAME GAME..im looking forward to BIGGER AND BETTER GAMES..and yeah i think SOCOM is better..cuz im a HUGE 3PS fan..DuM DoRkS..and dont waorry about my CaPtiOns i Do WaT i WaNt..FooL# 5o!!
I am or I should say this was my last month as annual Qore subscriber and I’m already been in the beta since it started.
Will I get a code even though I’m in it already?? I have a friend I would like to give it too who has been out of work. I think he might enjoy planing it.
Cool can’t wait to get the beta. Kinda bummed about the time the beta’s available though. My work schedule is kinda iffy at it seems I’ll only be able to play it an hour a day maybe, unless I’m off. Can’t complain I guess. Go MAG.
september is my last issue of qore and i want to resubscribe but the option is gone do i have to resubscribe in order to be in the beta
Buy the MAG beta and get 12 issues of free advertising. Such a deal…
Yea okay well how about fixing the 3.0 firmware Sony.
Honestly MAG still has me on the fence. 256 players sounds cool but at what cost?
The graphics won’t be as good, it’ll definitely lag more, etc. I’m thinking Bad Company 2 (with vehicles, fully destructible environments and smaller 24 player servers) is the better way to go.
@90: The Uncharted 2 demo isn’t up in Europe yet, or at the very least not the UK. And we all know that it’ll be SCEA that sits on it when they get it.
Charging people for a beta is wrong, as it’s the equivalent of you paying to work for them. The only reason they can get away with it is cuz it’s such a high profile game. Lots of people want to play, lots want to pay. If they opened it up to everyone, they’d be able to test it under real world conditions.

Question!
When I download the Beta, will i get 5 copies of it (like the Socom beta) to give to my friends. Or is this beta just for me? Thanks in advance.
I think Mag will be best game of coming year.thanks who make this game.i will wait and buy this games in firtht day when it will go out.
Woot just recieved my code 5 mins ago, thanks PS Blog, and Sony!
Have the MAG Beta emails been sent out to Qore subscribers yet? I ‘m guessing I probably won’t receive mine because I have that email problem that most other people
have with Sony. Also I should mention that I am defiantly above the age of 18, and I have my email address on file and valid (Opted-in as well). I still haven’t received my email yet though (It has not been filtered as SPAM or Junk). So, have the emails been sent out yet? Also if I don’t receive my code, how can I get it?
Also on another note: is Sony planing on fixing that emailing issue any time soon? It’s been a problem since the launch of the PS3…
hey guys did u try to enter the codes yet?
im getting the error that its not correct or used.
Thank You Qore…. I JUST GOT MY Beta CODE !!!!!!! ” Mon, Sep 14, 2009 at 6:16 PM” <— thats the exact time & date in my inbox!! WOOT!
I got my code but is not working.
Why????
You guys really need to read the post. The beta does NOT begin until 9/17. Thus, the code won\’t do much for you until that date.
