This update is pretty decent. People that complain that a game hasn’t arrived yet are pretty lame, especially when they don’t keep up-to-date on the release dates.

However, with that being said, could you put a release date list on the blog over in the corner or something to keep the whining down to a minimum? I think it would benefit the majority of the people that read this blog.

*sigh* I hate how all the PSONE games I actually want are 10 bucks and all the others are 6 – what a total BS Ripp-Off. ..not buying any of them.

I’ll agree with most folks that the PS1 games are overpriced. Frankly, if you already own the game, you can simply play it on your PS3(And wirelessly on your PSP via the PS3). What I’d REALLY like to see is some of the PSP games (like the updated version of FFTactics) being made available on the PS3. If I could buy the game and then play it on either system, that would be worth more to me than a UMD. You can do it with PS1 legacy games, why not with PSP games?

Ok still no new avatars, dynamic themes, or trine? I dont get it, EU PSN store has more dynamic themes for DL (Motorstorm and Wipeout HD Fury are available in EU) and trine already whats taking so long for PSN in US to get this content?

September 17th, 7:07 pm

I, for one, am psyched for Tactics. Finding it used is too expensive, and I missed out playing it on the PS1. I just got Vagrant Story used for $20 (no case, no manual, saved almost $60 bucks), I hope that doesn’t drop for the store now that I have that! (I hear it’s in the Japanese store along with a few other Square classics)

September 17th, 7:11 pm

Why is the preview function almost never used? is great to promote a game, or at least to let people know what it is about, add videos and images on the description of EVERY PS Store content please. Also FF tactics is expensive.

So when does the firmware after 3.01 come out? When I play Beatles: Rock Band on my 60gb PS3 it freezes in 5-10 minutes. I don’t have many other games to try out at the moment. From what I see online it looks like its due to the firmware update.

Yeah right! Everything sounds fun exept that I can’t go to the playstation store cause my PS3 is ****ing broken and won’t log in the PSN! SCREW THAT!!!!

September 17th, 8:07 pm

FFT, yeah this will make my 3rd copy (ps1 original got sold with all my other now classic and expensive ps1 games. You hear that Sony, I want to replace my ps1 collection, thanks for FF:T, bug square for the res, and where is Legend of Dragoon, the game you guys made and its my favorite ps1 game, We need a sequel asap!! ) Also got fft psp game, buying this just to have it, and support the ps1 classics, the way i figure more rpgs bought more released.

Yeah i want trine too, but I can wait , no biggie. There is 2 psn full games up, 2 ultra classic ps1 games 2 psp games. and 2 demos…you guys whine too much. I am just glad you guys weren’t here in spring 2008 before mgs4…. the store was bone dry. We get multiple games every week now. You need to be more thankful and less pessimistic whinny kids…

i really want to get final fantasy tactics, but i know the psp remake will eventually be released on psn for purchase, and i don’t want to buy the same game twice. can you just please put up the psp version, and tell square to put up legend of mana for purchase, it is an underated gem.

The Unbound Saga price drop is good. Not a very good game, unfortunately- but probably worth $10.

hmn…. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions for the PSP is technically the better version of the game because of all extra content. But hey, some people don’t like the animation in the cut-scenes. Still… makes me wonder if you’ll be putting that version on the store so I could play it on mah soon-to-be pspGO

as for the update, i appreciate fifa and nba live. i know im not gonna buy them (im a nba 2k guy), but its nice to see how the competition has tried to improve.

but back to my earlier question. ive watched the trine videos on youtube. im just not super interested. then again, i never got into halo or final fantasy. just not my what floats my boat i suppose.

You leave me no choice Sony!!!! I’m going to have to go VOLTRON on your ass and combine forces with Greg Miller from IGN to become the ULTIMATE ANNOYANCE MACHINE…until we get said avatars!

Enjoy my sarcasm

Also, if you could send me a Playstation cup cozie…that would rock….just because who really has a PS cup cozie???!!

I would..if you send me one :D

Wanna thank you for the stuff you could had gave us but didn’t bother too: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (although you are gonna put it next week, Japan has it, its playable and with English on it), PES 10, Trine and a Uncharted 2 Trailer that is published first in the UK store. Just be ready to put some your bullcrap together next week, put Brutal Legend for the public and no BS with Trine….. PLEASE.

Final Fantasy Tactics was a good addition, but I would love to see Final Fantasy 8! Please add that to the PSOne classics section!

michaelja said:

September 18th, 1:53 am

MidnightShade, optional or not, I shouldn’t expect any firmware update would cause issues with me playing other games. I’m hoping this issue gets addressed. There’s no way for me to revert back so Im stuck with a game I essentially can’t play for more than 5 minutes until a patch comes.

Onna76_NL said:

September 18th, 4:02 am

Lol some folks are really pathetic around here. At least the US is getting 2 classics and Europe not, and what kind of classics?! Europe hasn’t seen classics for nearly 3 montsh and the only classic we got was for the UK Only. Okay we have Trine but don’t ask the price, 20 Euro?!!! Over 26USD!! Gonna wait for the US release next week.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a great addition to the classics collection, but $9.99???
I can understand paying 10 bucks for games with multiple disks or what not, but fft is a single disk 214mb download. I don’t think I’m alone here when I say “What the hell?”
Greedy…very greedy.
That being said, keep the square classics coming!

I don’t understand how you expect to sell games off the PSN without a demo, video, or at least a couple snapshots of the game. This week there is Interpol: The Trail Of Dr. Chaos and Switchball. You are crazy if you expect me to drop $10 on either game off of the exaggerated description alone. I consider myself a pretty avid gamer and I have never heard of Switchball. If it wasn’t for the blog post last week, I wouldn’t know what the hell Interpol is, and you only showed 3 pictures.
Seriously, this is your STORE! I shouldn’t have to search the net for videos showing what these games look like. Is it really that hard to take a 1 minute video of the game to post as a preview? Even a video from a camera phone would be better than nothing.

It is like buying a pair of pants:

Pants ($30.00)
Complete your seasonal look with these new rugged cargo pants. They are light weight but still durable enough to handle daily wear and tear. Become the hottest kid on the block with this fresh pair of threads!!

O’rly…What color are they? What size are they? Are there pockets? Is there enough room for my junk?

Simple, EVERYTHING on the store should have a video showing what you want us to buy!

Heavenly Sword trophies, VC trophies, MGS4 trophies,Yakuza 3 localization, and Haze trophies too. That would make Haze flourish and potentially make a sequel possible. It’s sad that the trophies I want the most, I am probably never going to get.

Fishstix-83 said:

I want is new avatars!!! I would also like to see some dynamic themes that are not an advertisement for another game. You guys should really try to do something original. Like a Lavalamp style theme, now that would be sweet, have it bubble to the top of the screen and gently fall back down to merge with the bulk of it at the bottom. Any way, thats just me of course.
