  • oh, i get it, they’re gonna surprise us one of these weeks, and unleash the motherload on us! right? i am right, right?

  • and what in the world is trine? I’ve only ever heard of it from whiners in here. never actually seen it or what it’s about.

  • not bad…

  • I’d love to check some of this out- the NGS2 demo and Zombie Apocalypse, in particular- but my 2nd coffin just showed up today for my PS3 and it’s on its way to the repair center. Hooray for my PS3 breaking down every 14 months or so, that’s awesome! Refurbished consoles should really come with a better warranty than original purchases instead of a minimal one. If the repair work was done right, they should last quite a while- and I also have no idea how this thing was treated (or mistreated) before I received it. I’m not happy that I’ve had to pay $300 to fix a $600 console ($900, Sony!?). If this next unit takes a dump on me next year, I’m going to be so effing pissed off…

  • great update. Still need avatars, and more dynamic themes.

  • is zombie apocalypse the same thing as Dead Nation? please reply

  • SONY….If Trine came out, that would justify $5 off. But I want this game for $15 now.

No reason why it should have been delayed so long.

Your screwing yourselves over because by the time Trine comes out your running this game right into the brick wall that is Uncharted 2.

  • answer to twitter question: chainsaw

  • The answer to that twitter question is Chainsaw.

  • I want some more dynamic themes non of the ones on the store now interest me. I want a cool MGS4 one.

  • No Trine!?

It’s really quite unbelievable the level of incompentency that has arisen from this game now. The game has been out in Europe for a week now, in FIVE languages? What the hell can you still be testing? Esperanto?

What makes it even funnier is that you have customers dying to buy this game (see the above posts) and you say ABSOLUTELY nothing? What do you think your response would be if you went to a store to buy something they didn’t have, and when you asked them when they’d have it, they didn’t say a single response to you?

  • @ katsuo7171

“a redesigned status indicator and Friends List, and (((SUPPORT))) for new “avatars” and dynamic themes.”

ah thats where the got u man, it supports it but there not going to do anything with it yet lol

anyways good update and lots of demos, im quite happy with it

  • Fun update :)

For everyone complaining about avatars/themes, you must realize that firmware 3.0 was rushed out the door so that all the new PS3 Slim buyers would get a nice, gaudy, Wii-like UI to use. The actual software support (avatars/themes) is certainly a LONG way behind. And, once those start to trickle out, Sony might even consider fixing the new, awful firmware. We can only hope, right?

  • no dynamic themes , no avatars , TRINE is released on european server , ff8 is available in japan , where is the uncharted 2 demo?

  • The Power Stone Collection is listed as $19.99 on the store, you have $15.99 on here.

  • @ ProSoldier14

R&C demo will be coming. I talked to Insomniac at PAX09. He stated they will have a demo, he wants it to be available the week of launch. They are not done with the game as of PAX09 and that was their main focus. The only question of the demo was what content to put into it to give the player a sampler of the play types.

  • I was certainly hoping that FFVIII would show up since Japan got it. Hopefully, it’s like the other releases. they are coming it just takes a few extra weeks to appears on the US store.

  • no brutal legend demo and where is trine?

  • Best update in a couple weeks

  • nice playstation store came hard with the updates this week :)

  • Awesome Update!!!

  • how come XBOX Live got the Brutal Legend demo but no PSN?

if I didn’t get Zombie Apocalypse for the 360, I would get it because its a blast to play

  • 4 weeks and still no avatars?! Are you guys just lazy over there? Why don’t you provide an update about this issue, or do you guys just not care about the simple things that the players want. It’s not like we’re asking for a new game or something complex – any idiot can make avatars!

  • WHOA, AMAZING UPDATE.

And what is it with playstation fans and their complaining. Can somebody from the blog please shut them up?

  • Great update! Thanks

Still hate the useless ticker and friends boxes though. :(

  • Nice update for PSP! But why no PSX games this week like Japan? Here I thought we would get FF VIII as well…

  • To ALL the complainers complaining about the people complaining. … YOU ARE DOING THE SAME THING!

  • No Trine no $20

Sony really not feel what people want, this is the reason why is the $M still N01..

    sorry

  • finally sony came through! getting all of the crap load of demos, batman DLC,midnight club DLC,and the midnight club 3 dub edition download for my psp go….when it comes out.lots of umd legacy games,I can only imagine next week

  • Finally I have a reason to boot up Fallout 3 again.

Plus a NGS2 demo and Lost Planet 2 Demo? Great update Sony.

  • The wait is finally over for this kick ass update! rock on sony rock on!

also, very glad that the much loooong awaited zombie apocalypse finally arrived thanks nihilitic and konami you guys rock too.

  • amost forgot to add something

i would like to say thanks to rockstar games on providing us free content for Midnight club los angles :) you guys rock

Also, i would like to say thanks to home managers for brining us the singstar game space.

  • Why does it say acheivments for fallout 3 DLC description ha

  • Where are the Avatars and Trine for crying out loud?

  • There’s goes my monthly bandwidth quota. :D Great update.

  • Awesome update !!

  • Still no Trine? It’s going to hit XBLA thanks to Atlus sooner than it hits PSN. I’m getting a little annoyed here to say the least.

Also, weren’t we supposed to get the Brutal Legend demo this week too? Just curious.

  • Where the heck is Trine I’ve been waiting for it for half a year

  • when is map pack 4 coming out is it all lies

  • Major win with the Zombie Apocolypse demo Sony. Thats what makes me buy games, the chance to play them first.

No avatars and no dynamic themes? I’m suprised and not suprised.

X-Com UFO Defense PS1 Classic thx!?!?

  • Please Sony have some sort of a “goodwill” program like what SCEE had for people with PSPs wanting the Go.

  • Pretty disappointing that they’re only starting to release the Fallout DLC a few weeks ahead of the GOTY edition and charging full price for them.

I certainly hope no one buys that stuff as it’s way over-priced for having to wait more than a year and with a standalone disc with the full game that will be cheaper than the DLC in two months.

  • @ people complaining about Trine:
You’re barking up the wrong tree. Sony only publishes updates on the PSN store they have little to no control when a game is finished with legal entities/disputes.

Great update!! will be picking up Zombie :D

  • Sony is so right about how they are picking up the speed in putting games on the playstation store. Good Job Sony & Playstation

  • nice update, demos are a great plus
