  • @242 – I completely agree. The DLC songs for Guitar Hero 5 are just terrible. Being rather disappointed with GH5 and it’s DLC and recently finding a great deal on a Rock Band 2 bundle I’m quickly turning my back on GH.

Things I hope to see in a PS Store update soon:

    – New Avatars – A price cut and big title games releasing soon means a lot more new customers. I don’t understand the delay.

    – Uncharted 2 Dynamic Theme – Since the premiere of the dynamic themes there’s only been a few. This one should be a no brainer.

    Fat Princess DLC – We’re HUNGRY! :-P

  • I want some dinamic themes beside from games… I’m not the kind of guy who use game themes. Some abstract dinamic theme will make my xmb awesome

  • Not a good update but surprised that Sony has dropped the ball this week while last week as the best update for the PSP Go’s launch having lots of content for PSP/PS1 Games. Now in its second week its only two PSP games and one PS1 game. Hopefully Sony is saving a bunch of PSP/PS1 titles to be released during the holidays as I think thats what they doing. I like the Fallout 3 DLC and Critter Crunch but besides that its pretty average update.

  • No comment on this one….:(

  • So I feel really bad for the PSP Go owners. This is a horrible update. How can you expect people to willingly buy the PSP Go when you won’t even take the time to put a decent amount of games on the PSN store.

  • Does anyone know when Undead Knights is being released to the Store?

  • Man, I`m ok with DLC as a mean to expand the original content of a game. But this is rediculous. Charging more money, on top of the expensive retail price, to unlock something that is already on the disk?
Can express how ridiculous this is.

  • jeff cn u get dave mir freestle bike a ps2 classic please.. and how cane we the same icon on our name as developers do. like yor sly coper icon how can we get that

  • dave mirra freestyle bmx

  • The single most worthless PSN update to this day!

  • Hi Grace i see the NBA 2K10 PS3 Demo wont be out till next week but what about the PSP Go Version of NBA 2K10 Are you guys going to add it to the PSN Store

as i would like to play the psp version of nba 2k10 on my psp go

if its coming when is it due to be up on the psn thank you

  • boy am i glad i supported Sony and got the Go. If the system came with a note to grab your ankles, grin and bear it, it may not have been as bad, but i would be embarrassed to put out this store update if i was Sony

  • As a GameStop manager I’ve been pushing the PSP Go to my customers. I even bought one myself after seeing the mass of games uploaded last week. But looks like that was the exception, not the rule. So no more PSP Go sales for me. Screw you Sony. You continue to bend over your fans and giving them the business week after week. And you wonder why Xbox Live is killing you right now?

  • Jeff. I Do not EVER EVER EVER badmouth Sony or PSN, but this is a LOUSY LOUSY UPDATE. I spend hundreds of dollars a month on the PSN. I was looking forward to and thinking about what awesome new PSP content i could get for my PSP go. Got home from work and NOTHING. Basketball. Who cares. I hope next week is Epic. Why haven’t we got the Mini’s like the other countries? I mean i know why, but push it. Are they ready and you are just spacing their releases out in fear of you only have 40 more to release by the end of the year? Anyways, I apologize for this rude comment, but as soon as i got off of work (waiter) i rushed to walmart in the POURING RAIN and got another $50.00 card, i will be boycotting buying anything for at a maximum of 7 days, after i spend this $50.00. I am disappointed. But i still love ya Sony. And thanks for like the 100+ games last week, starting to feel like an a$$hole. Just know i am disappointed.

  • my question is… not only do you upset a rather large amount of people (everyone who bought the go/ or wanted to buy it/ people who wanted more classics to play on the ps3 / the people who wanted demos lol)

but then how do you just plain ignore us as if we don’t exist?

where do you think your money comes from fools. You show no respect to the people who supported your systems though after all your previous failures it was wise not to.

  • What a bunch of bellyaching! If you guys didn’t like this update, wait a week and there will be another. Sheesh! Give Sony a break.

  • Wow, a lot of complaints about the PSP store. Well, I guess that’s what the comment section is here for. Empower the people.

  • I want FF Dissidia but I’m not buying an UMD version, I want it DIGITAL, please put Dissidia Final Fantasy on the PSP Store!!!!

  • I bet that December’s updates will be full of games due to the christmas season, oh I mean the sales market season. LOL

  • Dynamic themes were just kind of…forgotten…whaat is going on??? The current dynamic themes available kinda suck and I think the ability to have them has a lot of potential we just need some good ones! I wish that not just game developers have the ability to make them because I personally don’t like themes based on games, unless they look reeaally cool. But I really prefer abstract themes, which probably won’t happen :(

  • This has got to be one of the lamest PlayStation Store updates in the history of PS Store updates.

  • why would I buy a PSP GO NOW TO WAIT 2 MONTHS (christmas) TO PLAY ANY GAMES ON IT?

I had to caps because some people just don’t think. “give sony a break” , hes only saying that because hes one of the few who isnt affected by this.

  • So, I’m confused.

Sony stated that virtually all UMD releases will be released on the PSN store.

Several UMD games came out this week.

We only got two. So virtually all means less than half?

I understand that we have to wait until Thursday for the updates, but how come we have none of the new UMD games yet?

I would have thought Sony would have arranged for the UMD releases to have downloadable version available the week it came out. I mean, we’ve known about the Go all summer. Apparently, I had far too much faith in Sony.

Does that mean Go users have to wait a long time to get games that other PSP user get right away? Because if this trend continues, I may well sell off my PSP Go.

  • This is… weak.

I could give a fig about UMD–>DD but not putting significant, REGULAR content on the PSN Store while the PSPgo ‘should’ be at it’s hottest is baffling.

You sold us an all digital handheld, you get to set a monopolistic price, so… right… you got nothing to offer this week?

100+ was nice last week and I got a couple — I plan to return to this deep, initial offering… later. That is, once I knock out much of the newer, already UMD-released content that I purposely held off from buying previously in favor of the DD version.

My money is waiting for you Sony… Sets ’em up and I’ll knocks ’em down.

  • OMG, I have been dying to have pandemonium on my psp and ps3, my original game’s final movie got messed up when my CD got old! :( It was the first playstation one game I have ever played! Thank you Sony!

  • @269…um…you have well over 150 games to choose from…that seriously can’t keep you busy for awhile?

Though I agree that we should have at least a mini, a UMD and a PS1 game per week I can’t see why many of you think they should role out 20/30 games per week. It won’t happen.

  • This is one of the most mediocre updates I’ve seen in a while.

Thankfully, I have Steam and Impulse Driven as a fallback for digital download content when PSN updates like these pop up.

I really think whoever is in charge of Sony needs to re-evaluate their sales, customer service, and marketing departments.

Where is the logic in releasing a full game (i.e. Critter Crunch) then releasing its demo a full 2 or more weeks afterwards.

    Legendary FAIL!!!

Sorry, I didn’t eat a bowl of stoopid this morning.

Do your fans a favor, get your act together.

Put down the Mocha Soy Latte’s and the Granola Donuts, and start getting some content on here.

  • Why can’t they roll out 20 or 30 PSP games per week? They are the only games that the PSP Go can run! It’s not like XBLA or PSN or WiiWare where it doesn’t matter that we get 1 game a week, because there are hundreds of retail games on the market. The PSP games on PSN in this case are the ENTIRE MARKET of games it can run! It would be absolute SUICIDE for the device to roll out a small portion of the PSP game library at launch, and then only trickle out 2 games a week. They need to get the entire PSP back catalog on PSN or the Go is toast. I’m hoping next week we will see another large PSP title update. I’m hoping the folks in charge of the UMD -> DD conversion are just taking a vacation this week after probably working overtime to get the inital 100+ batch ready.

  • So from Crystal Dynamics, we got Gex 3 last week and Pandemonium this week. I really hope that means we get Soul Reaver next week. I’ve been waiting for it every week since Blood Omen hit PSN.

  • @273 You’re right that PSN won’t give out 20-30 games in the next updates? Wanna know why, BY 2010 SONY WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

Anyways F**K this update and F**K YOU SCEA!

  • What?! You guys have Pandemonium, an European game, and Europe hasn’t. Well, looks like you’ll be getting more of my classic money. Seriously guys, can’t you run the European store as well? Make the store universal or something? I’m sick and tired of SCEE and the laziness of European publishers.

  • @estoc1

Get the F**K out of here, crapbox fanboy.

If its any consulation, Europe doesn’t have new MiniS either and as for classics? Holland hasn’t seen any ever since the release of FFVII, do the math. Probably not important, classic games around here. If SCEE is just honest and say: “Classics don’t sell in Europe”, I’d rather hear that than 6 months of lame excuses.

  • im in the united states navy serving my country in japan so i try to go to the ps store and wow its no longer available in my region. thanks for the shaft guys enjoy your sales drop from service members i am sooo angry right now

  • sorry about my last comment it’s working now but it did say that. i almost had a cow like seriously omg i just bought a psp go lol.

  • Still no Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen!

Will this ever be released? I want to play this game again so much.

  • This is a terrible update, I was expecting Croc: Legend of gobbos for Ps1 classics or Crash team racing for Ps1 classics. :(

  • Pandemonium!!!!!!!!!
one of my favourite Ps1 games , so much memories.

  • I have been a Playstation fan since 1997. Never have I been so disappointed and outraged with the way SCEA is handling things.

First nail in the coffin was removing backwards compatability in PS3 consoles. Second nail was selling the Go for $250. This week’s update has really placed the final nail. SCEA PROMISED all of us that they would be spewing more titles every week. But a basketball game and one PSOne classic?! I would like to see SCEA publicly respond to its customer base and explain this.

Grace, I really hope you read the comments and sincerely hope you empathize with your fans. Please reiterate our feelings to the powers that be so they can keep their promise and open those floodgates.

  • WOW.

I think some of you should cry more.

    Coddled…

  • No dissida, crisis core, portable ops or acid. This is terrible

  • I’m to busy with MAG beta and Ninja Gaiden 2 to even care. And next week I just hope I don’t forget about PS stroe update (I will be busy playing uncharted 2). :)

  • let me know when you add ps1 classics that earn the title classics to the store, only then i’ll buy a Go. Sony, your customers are telling you what they want. You’ve opened up a direct line of communication to ps3/psp users with this blog, so why not listen to what people are requesting? Cater to your loyalists. It would seem like people are buying a go for different reasons. Some people want a portable game player, some people want a portable mp3/video player, etc. Personally, i want to use it as a portable ps1 player, but with the current library of games available. I’d have to pass on buying it. The best psp games aren’t evailable on psn yet… go figure. Where are konami’s mgs acid/portable ops games? Square Enix’s offerings?

  • Hey congrats to u guys who bought the pspgo(sarcasm) now u realize that ur only gonna have acces to half the psp library, days or weeks after they release in retail and at trumped up prices(yes i still say paying the same price for digital as u do for physical is an obvious ripoff). oh yeah and plese everyone pass on the fallout dlc. 10 bucks for something that was developed that long ago. learn form oblivion. they sell the expansion pack for 29.99 when u can buy the game of the year edition for 29.99 with both expansion packs built in. fallout is getting the same treatment.

  • To all the people saying “Worst update Ever!!” Please shut up, you have no Idea what the worst updates are. You must not have had your PS3 the first few MONTHS after it launched. We had around 5 updates in a 4 month span. Also it wasn’t much more then a few videos or a DLC if that. No demos, the first demo we had was Motorstorm and a few months later Resistance:FOM. These updates may be a little lame but far from worst. Just be glad you are given the chance to get something.

BTW Jeff where are the new Avatars?

  • I think everyone should really chill out. Saying things like “epic fail, Sony” and “i bought the Go! for nothing”. Chill. Seriously. Just because one week doesn’t see a ton of new content, does not indicate what every week will look like. Like you even pointed out; last week’s update was amazing, so obviously it changes week to week. Give it time, guys. With games like LBP PSP, Jak and Daxter, and who knows how many new cool Minis like Fieldrunners coming out, how can anyone complain? Not to mention That we already should have our hands full with GTPSP and Motorstorm, as i know I do :D. (Not to mention Assassins Creed 2 in November!!!) I say, great job Sony, and keep up the great work!

  • @293 – You know we only have those when/if they make them available to us. There will not be many day/date releases if Sony continues to follow suit, and that is another broken promise in the long list of things Sony promised us when they sold everyone on the Go. I know it’s only the second week, but it makes a terrible first impression to anyone new and to the rest of us, it just seems like a return to business as usual. I want to have faith, but my ability to believe anything that comes out of the Sony camp right now has pretty much evaporated. I guess what I’m supposed to do is shut up and play basketball or one of the 150 games I didn’t want last week. Instead, my money for this weeks’ purchases that I didn’t get to make just got added to my deposit on my MW2 Limited Edition 360, and that’s a shame.

  • There is a general theme to the comments left about this week’s update. With such a large amount of content available, why, Sony, do you offer us so little.

When I first discovered that I could download PSONE titles back in 2006, a sense of joy and nostalgia overwhelmed me. However, every Thursday, I am disappointed when only a few games come out. Don’t get me wrong; some of the games you currently have are also some of my favorites, but there is just not enough. With somewhere around 2700 titles, couldn’t you come out with at least 5 per week.

How about the PSP? 2 downloadable games this week! Really! Are you serious? I don’t even own a PSP anymore, and I find this irritating. I feel sorry for the GO owners who were eagerly anticipating this update, and were seriously let down.

I have owned every playstation system, and am in love with the PS3, but Come on, Sony! We want more content, and more playstation exclusives.

    PLAYSTATION FANBOYS UNITE!

  • i’m so glad i have a psp-1001. i feel bad for all the people who bought a psp go last week. seeing how the psn dl content was kept a huge secret though, i’m not surprised. i don’t want to bash the psp go but 16gb, a smaller screen, no umd, being at the mercy of the psn game updates….doesn’t this make my psp-1001 superior to the psp go? sony its time to put up or shut up. the ps3 has dropped in price, now drop psn bombshells every week to eliminate the competition.

  • 10 bucks for unlocking stuff on Dirt? we used to have codes for that… hopefully no one will buy this thinking it’s an expansion pack or something
