Hey UNCHARTED fans,
Hope you guys have been enjoying the multiplayer demo these past two weeks. Remember that UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves goes on sale as early as midnight tonight at over 800 GameStop stores (Check here for store locations).
The main reason for this post is that we just got word that the multiplayer demo ended earlier today and unfortunately we won’t be able to get it back up before the game launches. So for those who wanted to get on and play some UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer goodness, you’re going to have to wait a few short hours till the game goes on sale.
I know we had a contest running with a chance to win 10 Fortune Hunter Editions every day Saturday through Monday…so here is what we’re going to do. For Saturday and Sunday we’re going to increase the number of Fortune Hunter Edition prizes from 10 to 20 each day. For Monday, we’re going to honor the contest by drawing 10 winners from all those who logged on this morning.
Chances to win the Fortune Hunter Edition don’t stop there. This weekend, if you own the game and are planning to play online, we’ll be randomly drawing names Friday – Sunday with a total of 30 Fortune Hunter Editions up for grabs. Contest rules to follow. Keep checking back to the Blog for more ways to win the Fortune Hunter Edition.

Great game but there is one glaring bug that annoys the hell out of me. I play on a full pixel 1080p display and when holding up on the dpad or holding L1 with a torch and the black letterbox appears at the top and bottom of the screen, there are a few rows of pixels the black doesnt cover at the very bottom and on the right side. It looks VERY BAD!! Basically the black bar on the bottom is floating too high and both the top and bottom black bars are floating a little to the left… you can see the game around the edges of the black bars, I don’t know how you guys missed this?! Please fix it fast, it should be easy, thank you!
Sony why couldnt you have made the Fortune Hunter edition available for purchase? I would have paid any sum of money for it. And worse yet, Im Australian so I dont even have the option of winning one :(

I’d love to get my hands on a collector’s edition of this game, but since I can’t count on that happening I bought a regular copy at mignight. I’ve had a hard time pulling myself away from it. It’s simply fantastic — I am totally blown away even with high expectations.
Uh.. outta curiosity…. does anyone know if our rankings from the demo remain or do we have to build it up again? Also do we get to keep the cinemas cause I’ve had some rather memorable moments playing the demo! It’d be such a shame to lose that replay. I even uploaded two even before watching them! lol I can’t wait to see how poor Nathan Drake went from a happy ending to waking up vertically in a dangling train car! XD

Ya it bums me that I didn’t get entered into the contest 4 Mon as I had hosp appts and when I got on it was closed. I like what you guys did with adding more copies to sat and Sun. Not sure on the way you handle the Mon, but I guess it’s sorta fair. It’s just kind a gives those people being much less a better shot at one than the people in the other two days…not sure twice the copies is a fair balance not knowing the numbers entered. Maybe a better thing to do would’ve been to just enter everyone from the other two days by default. Anyways, what’s done is done and I wish all good luck! I preordered at BB for the gold guns and it doesn’t look like they shipped it yet but hopefully I’ll see you all by Friday!
unfortunately, my Gamestop isn’t having the midnight sale. its a shame since i was ready for it. so here it is 5:46 tues. morn, Gamestop opens at 10:00am ET…I just wanna play it already!

I was hoping to get the play the demo a little more yesterday with my clan mates. Especially since my Blu Ray drive decided to stop working on sat morning. Im still buying Uncharted 2 today but I wont be able to play it until i get my PS3 back. Still waiting on the box now as it is so looks like Ill miss out on the contest this weekend.
My PS3 ylod’ed on me again so I lost my Uncharted save. Once I found out about the $100,000 for having an existing and completed game save you better believe I started working on Uncharted again. This time I’m playing on hard to also work towards my third possible platinum.
I am picking up U2 today but I may not get to play it right away.
The demo was intense. It’s the most fun I have had playing a multiplayer on the PS3 so far.
*I haven’t been receiving emails from scea for a long time now while my other account (made a uk region one for the killzone 2 demo a while ago) still receives them almost weekly. I’ve tried resetting the notification preferences but there was no change, and I also noticed a thread on the forums about this problem.
If I do get selected will I have trouble receiving an e-mail?
I finally made it through the single player last night. And I have to say it’s one of the best video game experiences I’ve had in a very long time. If this game was a movie, I would have left the Theatre with almost the exact feeling I got from playing it. The game is definitely worth all of the praise it’s been getting. :)
Typical Sony, no love for the UK (or europe), we don’t get the chance to win, and the game isn’t even out here until Friday and we can’t even play the demo anymore. Thanks for screwing us over, AGAIN.
im just here reading your guys’s comments just to hype me up for later this morning when i get my own copy. i should just sleep now so that time will fly by then just wake up and BOOM!!! uncharted in my hands :). i don’t know if i should complete the single player first then start multiplayer or switch off. i’ll probably end up doing the latter cause multiplayer is so damn fun. i can’t wait to see what other goodies are in the full game like what extra perks there are. i will wake up with a smile on my face.

Great game, over 100 people showed up to the West Hollywood midnight launch too. This game HAS to win GOTY, there’s absolutely no competition gameplay and graphics wise anywhere else.

DID THE MIDNIGHT LAUNCH AT GS. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!! Midnight launch was kinda lame but it let me start playing UC2 at 12:15 am. Love this game!!!!!! Give me that Fortune Hunter’s Edition!!!!!

Can anyone tell me if the Golden Guns that Best Buy is giving away for pre-orders can be unlocked through regular gameplay? I couldn’t sleep because I was hyped for this game, but I reserved at Gamestop for early access to the demo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
pre-ordered mine on amazon, a little cheaper than buying it at the stores, but means i gotta wait til it actually gets delivered… oh well.. i have a week off work coming up soon.. ill be sure to play it plenty…

Between this game and Demon’s Souls, my PS3 is going to get a lot of loving. Thank you for giving us additional chances to win the Fortune Hunter edition. Like others, I was disappointed when the demon went off-line. However, I can’t wait to get my hands on Uncharted 2. I have been hearing great things about the game already from my co-workers.

I picked up my copy at the local Gamestop in Port Richey, FL at the midnight release. I have to say it was well worth the wait.
I wondered if the beta stats for multiplayer would carry over, which it did for some players. Mine didn’t, which really doesn’t bother me. I like starting out fresh. It’s just hard to have a good balance when some players already were at level 26+.
But then again, that makes it more challenging.
Can’t wait to keep trying to win a Fortune Hunter’s Edition. Just another great promo on a level playing field.

Thought I would share this with all of you. I found a new way to win some Fortune Hunter Editions. I would have kept it to myself to better my chances, but I’ve been searching since about 11 last night and am giving up on this promotion. Take a stab at it if you have A LOT of free time.
