Hi Everyone,

We want to give you an update on SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3‘s release date. It will now be available on January 12, 2010. The PSP title’s development is on schedule and we are extremely pleased with all aspects of the title. It’s looking and playing great…some high value visual assets (screens and video) have only recently been made available to global marketing and we have decided to move the release and allow time to get the word out to everyone.

In case you haven’t yet seen it, you can check out the latest Fireteam Bravo 3 hit over at GameSpot.

I understand that this move is disappointing to some in the community, however as a result, you will be seeing a lot more of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 in the following weeks! – stay tuned.

  • I’m sorry slant six, but it is true. You are really making the socom series look terrible. I was really excited for this game to come out this month. I was seriously going to buy it first day, but now that you have moved the release date I will have to wait too long. You told people in E3 and almost a lot more places that you would be coming out this year around november. So, now that you have moved this to next year, which seems ridiculous, I believe that you are all making a big mistake.

I know I am referencing to socom confrontation, but people make a good point when they say you are failing them. You posted months and months ago that there will be a socom update very soon. But, the socom community and I did not think that months without end was very soon. So, truth be told, even if it sounds harsh, slant six is really ruining their reputation as developers, losing some of their community with the very long and disappointing waits, and also making socom, which was a fabulous game way back when, a now disappointing game that received horrific ratings in the beginning. This really shows the LAZINESS in slant six.

  • For people that try to defend slant six. I respect that you are trying to stick up for these developers, but if you really think about it, slant six truly deserves all this bad talk against them. They are ruining their reputation as game developers and ruining a once great sony game. So, think about it and check slant sixes history. You will see failure written all over them.

  • Hey since you guys are making us wait–and my Thanksgiving is soo ruined now–how about we get a Tactical Strike 2 in 2010 as well huh??????

  • Glad to hear everything is moving along, Mark. Can’t wait to see some updated videos and screens, the ones from this post look pretty awesome. See you on the battlefield ;)

  • LOL @ 10!!

GO YANKEES!! AND YES, SOCOM SUX!!

  • In my opinion, Slant Sux is nothing more than a thieving, lying, unskilled pack of criminals.

To me, it appears they have absolutely no qualms about blatantly advertising features that don’t exist in their games.

I’ve yet to see an apology for their bait and switch policies. And I’ve yet to receive a refund.

Waiting on one or the other.

  • This is BULL!!!!!!!!!!!!
everyone who will play SOCOM FTB3 already knows about it, and is expecting to play it this fall/winter, and for the Holidays.
I’ve been waiting for this game ever since they announced it in June.
And because of these delays a hope its better than FTB1 and FTB2.

  • I cannot believe most of you whinning commenters, you dont have the buy the game if you dont want to, and if you didnt like Socom Confrontation then you should have watched a review or two.

Like seriously, Sony puts out how many games a year and still you complain.

You people crying like babies are nothing but a bunch of self entitled retards who they can never please. So stop ruining the comments on the Playstation Blog or they will either Remove the PlayStation Blog altogether or remove comments section neither of which anyone wants.

    GROW UP.

  • Why are you guys being so harsh? These guys work hard and all you do is complain. I see you guys fail to mention slant sixes awesome game, tactical strike. Your just focused on he negative

  • I also await the day when -6 and Sony decide to “confront” the SOCOM community about this failure. This series should be the best online experience above all. Sad to see a series head down the wrong path.

Won’t be buying this game until i see the other game fixed and DLC free for all the delays

  • @58
What reviews where there when we all bought the game day one because it was SOCOM. We were told that it was going back to its roots. Alot of people bought a ps3 just to play SOCOM. They do not care about any other game. That is why they are angry.

Oh no they might remove the playstation blog. What ever shall I do??? Sony won’t remove comments because for the most part it is nothing but Sony fan boys that get on here and praise them for everything they do.

  • #58:

It’s one thing to produce a crappy game. But it’s something else entirely to LIE about features in an effort to sell your crappy game.

FACT: the game completely lacked features that were:

    1. Mentioned in pre-release advertisements
    2. Clearly advertised on the packaging for the game
    3. DESCRIBED IN THE MANUAL THAT SHIPPED WITH THE GAME.

Slant Sux has never apologized, commented on, or even aknowledged that they lied to people.

    This is criminal.

And it shouldn’t just be swept under the carpet by shills and Sony fanboys.

Sure, we’re talking about a $60 product. But it’s the principal of the issue, not the dollar amount.

You want a company to treat you like a sucker? That’s fine. But don’t expect it to be fine with other people.
