Braid ($14.99)
Braid is an artful puzzle-platformer where the player manipulates the flow of time in strange and unusual ways. In each world, time behaves differently, and it is time’s strangeness that creates the puzzles. The time behaviors include: rewinding, independent time streams, time that is tied to space, parallel realities, time dilation, and perhaps more.
Braid treats the player’s time as precious; there is no filler. Each puzzle shows the player something new about the game world.

  • Sad there aren’t more full games coming out this week, only four on the whole network, I might give C&C a whirl, I loved that game on Computer, I’m sure you’re working hard, but I would rather get a new ps1 classic than a Dita Von Teese theme. Seeya next week.

  • Not bad. Ill check out the MX vs ATV demo.

  • Yay Braid I will have to pick that up soon. Nice job not giving up on the PSOne releases.

  • Darn it! Late update today. Now my gf is off work and I’m stuck sitting here hoping she goes to bed soon so I can stop watching this crap on t.v. and do some downloading. The early bird gets my money, Sony. lol.

  • Anyone Know when Duke Nukem is coming? Were the reports all B.S.?

  • ****Clarification *** Does anyone know when Duke Nukem is coming to PSP? Were the reports all B.S.?

  • Sooo boring… Back to MW2.. MP5k akimbo rocks

  • To Grace and the Playstation Team, in all honesty, these PSN updates get worse as the weeks pass. There are not any quality UMD Legacy titles out there, and the only two PSOne classics worth playing have the name “Final Fantasy” attached to them. I’m tired of the PSOne classics like Gex, and Pandemonium. Why do you expect them to sell something when they have sold absolutely nothing when they were released on the PSOne?

I honestly feel sad for the PSP Go owners, they have really gotten crapped on for spending $250 and getting OVERPRICED content in return. I honestly did not know how all of you have jobs on the PSN with the content that you give owners of the PSP. It’s even funnier because you will hide behind your weak updates, thinking that you have done well. When in reality, you have done furthest from it. Here is your honest opinion of these PSN updates for the PSP, but you won’t respond because you don’t have balls too.

  • Just make PSP 2 already. PSP go isn’t selling.

    Nice update.

I hate the Assassins Creed Ad. Make it more like Uncharted 2 and Rachet and Clank: ACOT. They’re funny and awesome.

  • Woo, looks like my PspGo is buying me left 4 dead 2 for xbox 360 never again will i support a sony system. I know i shoulda bought a DSi

  • There is still a lot that I’m waiting for to show up on the PSN store, but I don’t think they’re doing horrible. The PSP update last week was actually pretty good! Just because one week kind of stank, doesn’t mean they all will.

  • I don’t think the update is bad, but I would like to see more PS1 and PSP games.

  • And for a canadian playstation video store, sign the petition here:

    http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/psnvideo/

  • If there is no Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 soon I am going to lose it! Crap Update.

  • I know I shouldn’t be so bothered, as there are a few games, but this week seems to have a pretty weak update with C&C standing out as the only thing I would consider getting for my PSP.

  • Sony did themself justice when they came out with the PS3 and now that they are improving the system you have gotten my vote. I’ll definetly go get one of the 250gb for my “Call of Duty(Modern Warfare 2)” I’m officially a part of the family.

  • Could Sony please revamp the PSN digital downloads system to where users can manage their own activations?

  • Just a suggestion for an added feature in the future. I think there should be a rating system for games, add-ons, etc downloaded off of the PSN viewable before download. Something simple like a 1 to 5 scale you can post on the info page of the game in the store and you can see what you rated it and what the average user rating is. Also developers would be able to use this to see how their product is doing and whether it needs more attention to raise sales. I think the popular downloads list is helpful, but just because it was downloaded a lot, doesn’t mean it was good…Thanks!

  • Why are there no screenshots of the NGS2 costumes??

  • PS- Great Update! I love the free PAIN and Fist of Plastic characters and I’ve been waiting for BRAID to make it over to the PSN and I was surprised that it showed up so soon! Thanks! Its a great game and I highly recommend it :)

  • Each thursday I’m looking forward hopeful to find in PSN Ps One Classics Bust a Groove I and II. It’s kind of dissapointing think this game would never come to PS Store :( If someone of the staff read this message it would be nice if can give some information about this game. I keep waiting since Enix is part of Sony. (at least I think so)

  • Dammit. For a second, I thought Fat Princess was getting a new character class. I didn’t read the “PAIN” part of the download title.

  • Lame update for the psp go!!! the only good 1 is the pinball games i guess!! not cool!

  • somebody tell me something about Resident Evil 2!! do you guys even know it’s PS1 game?!
Does capcom even care about RE anymore?!
or are they too busy fixing Ryu’s crazy stupid looking face for Super Street Fighter IV…seems like classic franchises are being butchered left and right…B A select start…

  • nice update, but we need that Demon’s Souls Dynamic them! is it going to hit state side at any point?

  • I’m really digging Braid – a very fun, interesting game.

  • There is an error in PSP Premium Theme sizes…

Dita Von Teese PSP Theme 1 and 2 ($1.49 each) (also available from PS3 storefront)
    File sizes: 199 MB – 213 MB <- Should be KB ;)

Deep Space PSP Theme ($1.49) (also available from PS3 storefront)
File size: 487 MB <- Should be KB ;)

Keep it up guys! Nice update! :)

  • Demon’s Souls dynamic theme, plz

  • Hecks Yeah! More Spongebob Songs!

  • I’m so pissed I bought PSP Go Sony.

First, I find out that all of my UMD games are not replacable and there’s NOTHING you guys do about it, no solution whatsoever. Then, I was starting to play Rock Band Unplugged and really enjoyed the game and you guys stated that the game would be available at launch and market the PSP Go with the game in it. THE GAME IS NOT AVAILABLE. Just a lousy demo. What’s going on? I also tought that when a new game comes out on UMD, it would be automatically added to the PS Store – not at all. I’m starting to think this PSP Go of yours is a mistake and thinking of selling it. I can do everything I want with a PSP 3000, I just have inconveniences with the PSP Go – I just can’t play everything that Sony has to offer in retail stores.

Shame on you for making me pay 300$ for a machine that is bringing me back to the first days of the original PSP.

    DO SOMETHING.

  • It’s amazing that some of you think that being a jerk is the way to make suggestions. If you’re displeased, state it without the garbage theatrics.

For Pinball Heros I’d like to see a bundle before picking up those tables. Perhaps when more tables arrive, sell them by 2’s or 3’s of our own choice?

  • I don’t understand at all why there hasn’t been a dynamic Uncharted 2 theme. Sony is passing on some easy money.

The year is getting closer to being over with, can we get any comments or updates on:

-New avatars: Are they coming this year? Why so silent about them?

    -New (non-train-wreck)firmware update?

-Castle Crashers: It was mentioned that it would probably be out before the year was over, is that still the plan?

    -Any update on Pixel Shooter?

  • What a horrible update. Why is PSN still releasing old XBLA games rather than new exclusive PSN titles?

  • great, now i have to be nice to get a reply. i’ll try better next time.

  • AVATARS…Avatars…avatars… Im getting tired of asking.

  • When will we get the trophy artwork for Trine to show up in our own trophy list?
It shows up when you view your profile but only there.

  • When is Backwards compatibility coming back?

  • @126

Both Resident Evil 2 & 3 and Dino Crisis have been rated by the ESRB for PS3/PSP so I guess they are already approved. Just its a problem with SCEA that the games aren’t on PSN yet or maybe its Capcom. Maybe its the price that they are still considering on pricing them?

  • Decent update surprised to see DLC for NGS2 and glad that a demo for Star Trek and Inferno Pool came out. Still no RE2, RE3, and Dino Crisis but thats alright as long as i have Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, NGS2 and a back catalog of PS3 games its ok.

  • Urgh, you should all be very much ashamed of yourself. You’ve got the best update. Europe has no demo’s, no new games and no classics. Downloaded Braid, its a nice game, but a 9,99USD tag would have been more appropiate, comparing to other games, but that’s not Sony to blame of course ;)

And yes any chance you will release Gex 2 and Soul Reaver? Tombi? *hint hint*… that game cost a huge fortune to get even second hand!

  • Did I forget to say:

    Bunch of whiners…

  • Final Fantasy XIII release date announced for Europe and America, the game will release on March, the 9th!!!

  • Is anyone else tired of the constant complainers? “crap update” “yet again nothing” Some weeks are bigger than others but you have 1 price discount, 2 new games (one of them being Braid!), 1 psone games, 4 demos plus videos, music, etc etc. and the psp content. What else do you want?!?

If there is too much content some stuff would fly under the wire and we would all miss it.

  • Hey Grace,
is there going to be Legend of Dragoon as a PS1 classic on PSN? I know a lot of people who would buy that up. It would work out as a bestseller like FFVII.

  • im going to buy AC:bloodlines
and have like $60 more to spend with my girlfriend or i can save them for psone classics…so seriously need dates for FFVIII,FFIX, Legends of the Dragoon,Chrono Cross and all the great psone classics rpg’s.

    So pls release daaates.

  • Yeah… another week I’m so disappointed that I bought a PSP GO.

    Thanks a bunch sony.

  • Wow, I thought Joystiq just left a bunch of things off for the PSP, but then I come here and see, nope.

Thankfully I’ve got a 2000, because this is yet another week that it must feel great to own a Go

    /sarcasm.

  • The majority of these comments here are negative, and I have to say I agree. It’s a really bad sign when you get this much negative feedback. If a few are saying it here, thousands are saying elsewhere.

Does anyone at Sony actually pay attention to these comments? Are they doing anything to give their customers what they want?

  • hahahahahahahahahaha spongebob squarepants rock band songs hahahahaha you legends
