Hi Everyone –
Last week, we launched the PlayStation Network digital comics service for the PSP. While we usually update PlayStation Store on Thursdays, we are having a special update today for the comics store (as well as the games store).
As a reminder, you will need to download the Digital Reader to the PSP, in order to view the comics that you purchase from PlayStation Store. The Digital Reader will allow you to view all the comics that you download (it also has a music player and different viewing options). Simply connect your PSP via wi-fi and go to the Digital Reader icon (located under the Extras icon on the XMB) and follow the on screen instructions. To download the Digital Reader using a PC, you can go to www.playstationcomics.com. The Digital Reader is a free download.

Grace, I’m not asking when this will be available to Canada. I’m asking if it’s even in the works whatsoever? Same for the video store. Is it being worked on? Is there intent to? I’d appreciate an answer to this, thanks.

so when do we manga on PSN soon? I know they are avaliable in Japan, but is it more difficult for US and other part because of the deals and licensing issue. I know in Japan they don’t have Marvel comic, IDW, and other comic we have on US PSN on their Japanese PSN digital comic yet. If you can’t put JApanese manga, why not original non-Japanese manga made in US. I know Marvel Comic did Marvel Mangaverse, Marvel Tsunamis, and just recently a collaboration with Del Rey to do a X-men: Misfits manga, and Wolverine: Prodigal Son manga. Why not talk with Del Rey, Tokyopop, Seven Seas Entertainment, and Yen Press to put some of the original non-Japanese manga-style comic on there. They’re easier to put on without troubles. It would keep us busy while you guys take care of bringing Japanese manga. Just get those up while you can get the Japanese manga ready. While you’re at it, many Japanese PSP owners called, they want their Marvel Comic and other Western comic up on PSN’s Digital Comic ASAP.
Any chance we can also get it on the ps3 maybe also make it a pdf reader too!
Why no punisher comics.. ..If possible spread the word for punisher comics, war journal, armory.. I think it would be sweet to see punisher on psp digtal comics.. ty agn

Any word if webcomics will be made available (like Uncharted Eye of the Indra and Dexter webcomics from showtime)?
Is the LBP Water pack going to come out before Xmas? I am surprised someone would make such a huge announcement to something so cool and not follow thru with it. Also I see maps already with water how is this possible?
This may sound like an odd request, but when will we receive any Wildstorm comics? Most of the playstation brand comics are made by Wildstorm. I love comics, and it would be cool to use this service, but the only Marvel comics I read are from the Ultimate universe. If you could respond, that would be great!!!

Yeah, so good job getting the comics up so early today. You think you might update the PS3 store sometime tonight?
While I’m certain there are plenty of suggestions, any chance you guys could look into getting the Johnny The Homocidal Maniac and other Jhonen Vasquez works onto the PSN? I love the idea of having the series with me while out of the house in addition to the copies in my room.
That aside, hope to see an update to the program soon that allows for deleting comics from the program. I’m slowly accruing a collection and definitely don’t care for some of the comics I’ve nabbed to be with me.

It’s cool that Marvel has titles from the ’40s and ’60, but I would really like to see titles from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, especially the first Ghosrider series ( 1972-1983) the second Ghosrider series (1990-98) and every xmen comic from the ’60s ’til now.
I’d also like to see some DC stuff, more Image comics, and, if possible, old Valiant comics.

is this true??? Playstation Network will officially cost money starting on January 10th, 2010. People who pass this message on atleast 15 times (excluding the person who sent it to you) will be on the select list of free playstation network users. At least they took the psn link from the videos section in 3.15. Though what they should have done is gotten the videos to canada like six months ago.

Seriously though, Sony will very likely offer a premium PSN service sometime soon, but they have already stated that the current service will remain free. The premium PSN service will offer differant features, but again, the current service will remain free.
Sending chain letters is a violation of the Sony Terms of Service and User agreement.
If you receive any more, just threaten to delete the person from your friends list, block them, or report them.

I’d like to read digital comics on my PS3 as well…in fact thats what I thought this service was. Why can’t they just do that you can play on both. I’m not quite ready to get a PSP yet…not until Birth by Sleep hits
