  • No NEW Avatar:/

  • Lol and they had over 2 weeks to prepare a good update…way to go Sony. Great lineup on ps1 classics and psp games.

  • Where is hustle kings? It’s out in Europe, I’ve been waiting on that game for months now. Pretty small update after not having one for 2 weeks, I think there is something planned for after CES, at least I hope there is.

  • No PSone classics this week? Its been two weeks what the heck you ppl been doing?

  • Demos, Pulse, and Sales. Yeah.

  • No new avatars? Why only bother to put LBP avatars in the first place? So does this mean we’ll only get a handful of avatars based on 1 game once a month (much like dynamic themes)?

  • When is the Tekken 6 DLC going to be back I saw it for a few days and then it was gone. My kids gave me Tekken for Christmas there was no way I could have opened it and then re-wrapped it without them knowing!

  • Please don’t compromise quality of the update for the speed of the update. While I like 2p PST updates, crappy PSN updates with no PSONE classics and lacking in other games as well.

  • Heh, you guys made a typo on the PJS wallpaper. I have a feeling that wallpaper isnt supposed to be 332MB.

  • Looks good. Can’t wait to download some stuff.

  • …Where are the PSOne games???

  • Dark Void Demo: SWEET.

Matt Hazard: Blood, Bath and TOO MUCH MONEY!

  • First update of the new year, and all it really seems to be doing is playing catch up.

  • This is pretty lame of you Sony. You should support your online service more. You put on Final Fantasy VIII, and then follow-up with nothing from a great library of PSX games. How about putting on Tomba, Gex, Glover, Disney Games, Digimon World, Breath of Fire IV, Legend of Dragoon, Dragon Quest VII, Grandia, Klonoa, Jersey Devil, Gauntlet Legends, Legend of Legaia, Megaman X4,5,6, Megaman 8, Megaman Legends, Parasite Eve, Suikoden 2, Xenogears, and that’s only scratching the surface of the great library to choose from.

    OmniSnipe Part 1 of 2.

  • Instead of giving us Command and Conquer 35 and 1/3(wrong on purpose) give the fans something they want. I don’t know where you guys took Marketing education, but you’re obviously doing it wrong. I can understand not putting up Final Fantasy IX a week or two after you put up Final Fantasy VIII, because you want people to buy it before they move onto the other one, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do what you did with the PSP section. If you do a massive update with PSX games, you would surely get more attention and stop getting negative feedback. Give us 5 PSX games a week, known games, not random shovelware and I guarentee you’d see sales grow. Be more supportive about your products in the future, before you lose everyone to Microsoft and Nintendo. I’m tempted to just buy a 360 for their online productivity by trading in my PS3. You see that rating bar under each blog post? If its under 3, it usually means you need to change it and listen to the fans for what they want, not what you think they’d want. This update is terrible.

    OmniSnipe. Part 2 of 2.

  • Lets C How Good Dark Void Is

  • I waited all day for this?!?!? wtf

  • I try very hard to avoid whining about PSN weekly content, but today’s is just too thin, especially after two weeks.

Where is Hustle Kings????? Europe has had it for several weeks, and the developer posted to the US forum whether we’d like to see it before Christmas (albeit without video chat, which nobody seems to want anyway).

So where is it? I’m tired of Inferno Pool crashing my PS3, so I’ve stopped playing that one.

  • my personal biggest gripe is that there are PSP games listed in the PS3 game section… its confusing, i dont want to pay for something i can’t play.

also its ridiculous to pay 1.99 for a xmb background thats basically an advertisement for a game… i like the dynamic themes though, wish there were more jsut pleasent, like the afrika theme… maybe one of an ant colony or something else not game related

besides that, i love the store overall and its great to dl demos before buying games!

  • Grace can you guys make Pulse on the psp to fit the screen normally , i mean without having to zoom it , thanks

  • Still no Hustle Kings. I thought that game was suppose to come out last year.

  • VERY Dissapointing update, with nothing really worth mentioning, no demos of psp, demos for ps3 are few and ho hum. No good themes or new avatars. No new LBP stuff.
And it was released 2 weeks late due to holidays, we waited 2 weeks for this I mean cmon.
Only good thing about it was that it wasnt released like hours late which happened not to long ago here. I likem early so I can come home and start downloading

  • @70, it WAS supposed to come out last year.

And it did. In Europe. The developer did ask USA users if they wanted it before Christmas. We said yes.

Sony ignored us. But hey – we get more ad content and crappy DLC!

  • PSP Go love as usual. At least we didn’t wait two weeks for this. Waaaaait…

Glad I have my 2000, just appauled that other than a couple of updates over the last 6 months, the PSP has been abandoned.

  • early store updates are always welcome.

  • If a scream could scream out this comment!

I would scream ” WE ASK ASKING, BEGGING, PLEADING, AND DEMANDING HUSTLE KINGS!!!” “WHAT MAKES THE UK SO SPECIAL?”

We were asked a question and answered in unison!

( do you realize how hard that is in today’s world of vast opinions?)

You make use fell ignored, underappeciated, and like we have no worth…

If that was your goal with asking if we wanted the game without this small and undesired feature called “video chat”; you have suceeded and have made us a downtrodden people…

All we ask is for a direct response, so that we know where we stand and where to place our hopes!

There has NEVER been this kind of demand over a billirds game and y’all are ensuring that there will NEVER be again!

*steps down from the soap box*

  • Not a bad update very nice for people who havn’t bought Turtles in Time yet. I bought it for $10 the second it got released, for $5 it’s an absolute steal. Great game.

Same with PoP Classic, great remake of the original. It’s a real shame it doesn’t have trophy support though. Again, I thought it was a great game for $10, at $5 it’s a bargain.

Here’s one thing I’m really ticked about though. Why the HECK did the Marvel Ultimate Alliance DLC get pulled on THE DAY I planned on getting it? I went and added PSN cards to may wallet specifically for that DLC. I’m kinda ticked because I thought it was a good deal for what it was, and I really wanted the extra characters. You guys or Activision really should have given gamers a week’s heads up that was being pulled and will never go back up for people who weren’t getting it right away. I would have made it a POINT to get it before it got pulled. Any chance you guys can get it back up for a week at least so I can get it?

What’s the deal behind that anyway? There was no problems with the DLC itself, and I know it’s never coming back (confirmed on EU Blog). Is Activision starting to pull PS3 support now? I REALLY wanted that DLC!

  • please excuse some of the errors in my last post.

  • seriously where is HUSTLE KINGS???? can we get an answer please?? can we get a release date? anything? someone?? please? pretty please?? someone tell us something!

  • What is up with all these crappy games pushing the release date of better games? Fat Princess came out when Trine should have been releasing, and now no Hustle Kings thanks to some dumb Matt Hazard tard fest. After this update, I planned to buy Hustle Kings. Now HK will be the last thing I ever buy from the PSN thanks to SCEA and their horrible release schedule. (Come on, Zen Pinball AND Magic Ball got DLC in Europe today)

    WINTER 2009 MEANS WINTER 2009. NOT Q1 2010.

  • seriously where is HUSTLE KINGS??? can we get an answer please?? can we get a release date? anything? someone? please? pretty please?? someone tell us something!

  • Looks like it’s just the Dark Void demo for me this week. Also, like many have said please try to update the store at consistent times. I realize this may not always be possible, but it’s nice if the update is around 7pm EST instead of 7pm one night, 9 the next two weeks back to 7 etc. Anyhow nice job guys, I always looks forward to these updates!

  • Pain? …still has DLC?

I’m really curious how many people are actually still playing that game. (and how many of those didn’t d/l it via a free voucher)

  • Honestly, every time I see an update for the PSN I regret buying a PSP… I haven’t been happy with the updates since Resident Evil 3 was put on PS1 classics. Until I see Final Fantasy IX & Little Big Planet PSP DLC I’ll be back with Nintendo… (at least I can get Super Street Fighter II on virtual console)

  • No Ps1 classics? do you guys even care about the oldschool gamers? can’t you ever put any rpgs in the ps store? for example Suikoden 2, Xenogears, Breath of fire 3 & 4.

  • and where the hell are the svr2010 ps3 version game add ons? they promised us some!!! new superstars and stuff

  • Crappy update but the TMNT looks like a deal. 2 out of 5

  • Demon’s Souls Dynamic Theme…please…seriously.

  • I want Hustle Kings!

  • @77

The DLC was pulled from the 360 servers too.

I imagine it has more to do with Disney’s acquirement of Marvel being finalized Jan 1st (The content was removed on Dec 31st).

That or Activision is priming a $60 GotY edition and was afraid cheaper base game + content = poor GotY sales.

Either way, it was shady as sin and Activision owes Marvel fans an apology.

  • Any word on when Pacman CE is gonna come out? That’s set to be one of the minis, right?

  • So we get 2 kick butt Demos, Borderlands DLC, and a crap load of other content for the Store and these noobies rate it low thanks to no new Avatars???? You people are lame! PS3 is about games not lamo Avatars that you could make for your PC profiles via Steam for nothing!

  • decent update.

i expected more avatars and dynamic themes.

    hopefully next week………

  • Not a good way to kickstart the new year.

The PSOne had the best library, Sad to see it being treated like garbage. I have firends who chose another console at that time rather than a psone but got a ps2 and ps3. Nice way to showcase the console that brought the success to the playStation brand.

Suikoden 2, Vagrant story, Breath of fire 3, Xenogears, FF9, Parasite eve. Valkyrie Profile,Xenogears, Bushido Blade 2, Legend of Dragoon, The list goes on, So many to choose from and not even one psone classic?

Sorry guys, this one gets a 1 only because there’s no option for negative numbers.

  • Wow, if you guys want PS1 games so bad, go to eBay and quit whinin over here. I have a few PS1 games downloaded but I’m too busy playing PS3 games (you know, games the system was built for) to have time for any more PS1 games.

  • are we going to get a date on Castle Crashers anytime soon? Been waiting a long time on that one, was hoping we’d hear something about it this month.

  • Is there any chance that the non-BCS bowl games will be available on the video store?

    Thanks.

  • Was looking forward to the continuation of premium avatars… little let down.

Oh well, Qore and the Dark Void demo will keep me busy I suppose. And of course flinging around a new lady in PAIN.
