  • This looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job, Jeff and Chris! But, Jeff lay off the Red Bull! You were just a little hyper. I HATE the Wii. You can’t play a decent game with that freaking controller. Not everyone wants to box or fish. I hate it! Also, the Move needs to be well priced. If I need 2 controllers for the best experience, we need a reasonably priced 2-pak, not just a 1-pk and sub-controller or that combo-pak with the ps eye for $100 (Ouch!!).

  • well for price its a great start, Under $100 for a starter kit is a good idea especially when its the PS eye with the controller and a game.

The controller it pretty sick, its what i wanted to see in a long time, a motion-controller that does true 1:1 accuracy. it also looks amazing for a controller, i really do like the orb and how it lights up for the looks and for the PS eye itself. looks really futuristic, just like what any sony product looks.

but on the software side, there was some good stuff that you guys showed us today, just that they felt awfully familiar to the wii. SOCOM 4 though with MOVE looked pretty solid though

I just hope you guys dont move away from the hardcore and equally make games for both the casual and the Hardcore.

As what katsuo7171(cooment 165) said, dont try to make a quick buck and make mini games off this, i want to see a lot of hardcore games with this, and it should be executed properly.

I can imagine Demon’s Souls with this, i see lots of awesome potential for this and for other games.

if you guys do this, then it will be full of win, and i will buy this product.

  • oh yea, you guys did an awesome job with the live stream, you guys should do this more often for other big events. it works great with the blog.

  • If I wanted a motion controller I would have bought a Wii.

  • Great stuff

  • Thanks guys. Got to say the live feed is impressive. You guys did a great job with this and I loved that you guys talked at the end with Jack, that really made it all the better.

I was so glad though that you addressed us about the state of dual shock as well. I prefer the controller and its great that this isn’t being shoved down our throats as the only way to play. I like that there is a duality here where both control schemes can be used. That is great, it means you don’t have to use one or the other, and people that prefer controller or just want to sit down and relax can do so.

Also I am glad you guys made the move sub-controller, without that a lot of hardcore games wouldn’t be possible. Great show guys! Keep it up! PS3 FTW!!!

  • Wish there would be a new firmware announcement with some tweaks.

Maybe a game announcement too. Or some stuff about the motion thing. Buy mainly I’d love to hear software improvements to make the stuff we already have better and more fun.

  • Don’t worry guys and girls. Sony will show the best for E3 2010. BTW no need for 3D or motion controller, but its good to have that.

  • I like the move being on SOCOM 4, will look forward to it

  • HEY JEFF!!!!!!!! look some strange reason it took me like 5 trys to log in to the ps blog what gives??? also i got the voucher code for modnation racers theme in my email and i tryed to get it and it says the code has already been used what gives? plz reply back asap also great job with playstation move it looks ever soo kool

  • lol @ how it goes from Eyepet to a scotish guy playing a street fighting game. :D

  • cant wait for E3.
This was all a tease for it. xD

  • Hello, I have a question about the Playstation Move (Motion Controller), The problem is though if Move is that accurate and fluent it will be far superior to DualShock3. That’s what I’m worried about it with shooters. If you have to buy Move to be competitive online, then that would most definitely suck. For the example, at the GDC Socom 4 was being played with Playstation Move and for sure Socom 4 has onlien multiplayer. Will multiplayer games have a advantage with Playstation Move over DS3?

  • The new stuff looks awesome.

I like how you guys had the main CEO. More interviews guys. And no you guys didn’t suck hahaha. Chris should talk a little more though :)

Thanks for the video Jeff and Chris!

  • I enjoyed the presentation guys, please do it for E3 this year!

  • Never really noticed before that Jeff is quite a bit taller than Chris with the very few times they’ve been filmed side-by-side.

  • I hope the video gets posted in the store.

  • I’m wondering if we’ll see a version of the sub controller that has the same functionality as the main remote. I don’t want to have to buy the Move controller and then another move controller AND the sub controller. I would rather have one move controller then a move controller that was has the analog everything the sub controller has.

  • that has the analog and everything else the sub controller has*

  • @208 while a valid concern I really think end of the day it falls on the gamer and how comfortable they are with whatever controller they’re using. There are already a couple of options out there that are more accurate than the controller (including bluetooth mouse sets) so this isn’t a new problem. I think it’ll be enjoyable with whatever controller you use but I’m grabbing the Move b/c it just looks like it’ll be more fun at the end of the day. That is if I can get the hang of it.

  • The controllers look better and better every time they bring them out. Wanna get my hands on one so bad!. Socom4 looked amazing with PS-Move in action. The sports games look physically more fun and graphically better then most Wii games out today. I wonder if some Wii top sellers will be ported over, after being polished up and tweaked a little?.. Possibilities are endless with a 1:1 movement tracking controller..

  • Glad to see you guys doing live shows now. Its cool to see things evolving with Playstation first hand. Look forward to watching you guys at E3. who knows, maybe sony will build ya’ll a set for the show.
Really like the new Move. just curious about how developers will cope with the added technology. For instance, should a game be in developement now, how easy would it be to ad such a feature?
Thanx for all you do for us consumers. Keep up the good work.

  • this is live? wow!

  • Will the video be available for download on the PSN?

  • I doubt you guys are accepting ideas for more cities, but I’ll go ahead and say that, if you come to Atlanta soon, I’m SO there.

  • cant wait for the release of PS move only problem i see with it is the sub controller it should have motion tracking like the move since you need 2 controllers for a game like motion fighter, gladiator ect. otherwise it would make more sense just to use the dual shock 3 as a sub controller since everyone has one and people wouldn’t have to pay for 2 moves if you add motion tracking on sub

  • pet eye with move is sold for me (going to be a great gift when holidays come)

  • Jeff, Chris, and Others at Sony Please Listen,

I really like the new Playstation Move, and am very exited about the possabilities. Thank you to everyone at Sony who has made this possible. My mind is set on what we will see at E3, and I can not wait to see what SCEWWS has in store. There is just one thng that I reaaly hope gets consideration.

Please think of adding full motion capabilities to the Sub Controller. That would add so much depth to the experiance, and open up so many avenues for creativity. I really think that having analog and motion on the sub controller would make a massive differance in the success of this device, and would make many studios more willing to jump in and use this tech.

    Just take note,

    Thank You,

    Kevyn Grams

  • Playstation Move: Ok now, let’s be honest with ourselves. It looks good for the most part but PLEASE don’t make it seem better than what it is. It’s slightly better than Wii motion plus. (Maybe) As for Natal, first we need to see if it’s going to work as promised and if it does it may even be better than PS MOVE. Heres The only thing that got me hyped about Move was way back when they showed the man presenting shooting a gun and being able to move around the room. At first I acted as a regular thoughtless consumer being fooled into wanting the ever so immerssive PS Motion control then I got to thinking. How can I move around a room and shoot stuff, what happens to people behind me… I turn around and no longer can I see the TV. I don’t know Sony, it really feels like you’re overemphasizing this thing. While I know it’s all business, please don’t lie to your consumers so that they buy into a me-too product. Trust me I SEE the accuracy and precision, and I understand some of the reasons why it may be better than Wii and Natal BUT I’m not buying into the little extra you want to make the control into.

  • Socom shouldn’t have controlled the way it did if Sony weren’t bluffing with the tech representation last year. Socom basically plays like any shooter would on the Wii. Metroid is pretty good, and people are making games work on the Wii that look similar to what you’re presenting. Lastly, it may be more accurate and less glitchy than Natal but one thing I promise you… Natal would be the only DIFFERENT competitor. I hope you guys can improvise a little more and maybe an Eye screen that allows u to watch the action when you turn around in your living room :)!!… All of this coming from a man who’s always loved Sony products and Playstation. I know you guys can do better, I just hate to see people stretching the trust so far that it becomes a lie. Furthermore, I hate being lied to.

  • i can’t view the press conference on the ps3 internet browser. sony, it’s time to update the internet browser. also, a lot of web pages (including this blog and the ps forum) causes the ps3 to freeze and we have to restart the ps3 manually. but seriously, sony, PLEASE FIX THE PS3 INTERNET BROWSER!

  • I really don’t care about GAME DEVELOPERS CONFERENCES. GET ME GAMES! I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE BUSINESS OR GEEKY GAME MAKERS! unless you show HOT CHICKS I don’t care

  • I agree post number 233 TRILLMATIC79, How freakin hard is it to make a browser for the ps3 that can do everything other browsers do. they should pay Firefox or Google chrome if they hate MICROSOFT so much since they are the competition

  • I’ll buy one Sony DilGlo just for golfing.
(thats right, I just coined the term “DilGlo”)
    you heard it here first.

  • BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
The fighting game you saw yesterday is developed by some Swedish company. A friend of mine found a picture with a sign which said in Swedish: Please, hang back your weights after using them.

Is it Starbreeze new hidden project? I dont think Dice is doing this right now.

  • So far what I saw from the Move is nothing spectacular. Sorry, but its the Wii controller on a HI-Def console. I was excited to see SOCOM 4 take advantage fo the Move but then I saw this guy sitting on the couch doing nothing cool with the Move my excitement dwindled to nothing more than a ho hum attitude. I want to be able to mock throw grenades, duck down as if to take cover and other moves that make it feel like I am truly part of the game. LBP using the Move is ok at best. Sony’s announcement was smart but it offered nothing that made it stand out from the Wii controller. Let’s hope E3 shows us something worth talking about.

  • for all you that think were getting the ff13 living space for free like in japan hell no this is sony of america of course thare going to charge us for it

  • I am glad they got the PSMove announcement over with. Now they can spend less time on this at E3, and more time on the megatons.

Oh, and thanks for the live feed. Hope you guys continue to do so in the future.

  • PSMove will be cool, but PLEASE get rid of the ridiculous light bulb, unless it serves some purpose I’m unaware of. It takes away from the polished PS3 look and knocks it down to some Wal-Mart bargain bin toy.

  • Does this mean that the Six Axis is completely dead?

  • Thanks for the live stream. It was awesome. Looking forward to future live events:-D.

  • Sweet motion controles and 3-D TVS. Times are changing I might not ever see the sun again! As far as Sixaxis being dead no way Older games dont support it and probly never will and the wii even has a controller becouse the wii mote don’t work with older games. So Sixaxis will be here a long time=)

  • wow!just saw the fighting game with the move contollers.LOOKS AWESOME!good work!

  • Simply Amazing!
Nice work guys with the live stream!
Can’t wait for Move and to see what’s coming at E3!

  • Thanks, looking forward to it.

Can we get images of the whole controller (e.g. the back of it?)

  • I’m curious about a few things. What’s included in the Playstation Move controller bundle? I noticed that some games requires two “Moves” and some requires one Move and subcontroller. How much will each of these devices cost?

Playstation Eye usually go for $50
Playstation Move(some games may require 2 of these) “unknown”
Playstation Move+ (subcontroller aka nunchuk) “unknown”

At the end of the day, all of these devices are going to add up, especially if you want the full experience. I highly doubt the under $100 bundle will include everything. Let me assure you guys that if this product is priced reasonably, Sony will see lots of success. Try to keep in mind that competitors are offering similar experience on the cheap. Not everybody cares about 720p HD gaming. The millions of Wii owners are a testament to that. This product may not be for everyone but there is a wide market to explore.

The current web advertisement seems like a total Nintendo knock off. If possible, please find a unique way to go on about marketing and promotion. These ads are only going to place you guys in the me too category with Nintendo.

  • Those are not unknown dude SOny siad under $100.00, with both stand alone, starter kit, and PS3 bundle……. Thats great IMHO.

  • Great video, thanks for posting it great work guys.

I have been waiting for the PS3 to get some motion controls. I think the precision is amazing and will make motion control gaming more realistic.

    can’t wait till launch!!!!

  • @241…
