MLB 10 The Show NL West Predictions

Eric Levine's Avatar Posted by SCEA PR Manager

Baseball fans –

Next up on our divisional predictions series is the National League West. This division sent both the Rockies and Dodgers to the post season last year and could exceed expectations once again in 2010. The Dodgers will likely contend for first place, but really need their young guns in Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier to step up and lead the way. Same goes for the Rockies…anchored by Troy Tulowitzki and veteran Todd Helton, expect Colorado to make a run for the division crown once again. The Giants came up a bit short last season, but with aces in Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum, they should have a shot, assuming their offense can pick up the slack. Next up are the Diamondbacks…with solid pitching in Dan Haren and Justin Upton leading the way at the plate, can they turn around a last place finish from last year? Last up are the Padres who finished the ’09 season on a high note. If Adrian Gonzalez and the rest of the squad can build on last year’s momentum, they might just be the dark horse in the division.

Here’s a look at our final NL West predictions video showing you which teams will come out on top this October according to MLB 10 The Show.

Welcome to The Show!

I’m sure the guys at San Diego Studios wanted to give the Padres more dap but who have thought they would be leading the west at the end of April. Hopefully they’ll get more love via the weekly roster updates.

This one looks about right. This year the Dodgers will be lucky to finish in third. Their pitching is mediocre. The team seems to be falling apart now. And their owner is a cheapskate. It will be a good battle between the Rockies and Giants.

I wish there was a company that could put this much focus and effort into a full-fledged NASCAR game.

hahahahahahahahaha. the yanks win the east? do not count your chickens before they are hatched. i look to the preference of a dark horse this year with the rays blowing the yanks out of the water. it is just proof that money cannot always buy you a championship, and since they won last year it is now someone else s turn to win.

Same thing with hockey would be automatic buy for me.

P.S. Montreal beats Washington in game 7, coming back from losing 1-3 in the series. It only happened twice in 100 years in Montreal Canadiens history!!

I’m guessing you’re from Canada then, Mosh-Pit?

Anyways, now that all the other divisions are out of the way, we can get to the power divisions, the NL East and AL East. The Phillies are freakin stacked, huh? The Mets better enjoy this hot streak while they can. I really don’t think the Rays have the arms to outlast the Yankees and Red Sox, I mean, look at their bullpen. Even if they do make the playoffs, I would be shocked if they went anywhere.

Phillies are stacked…but can’t do a thing without Rollins.

Yeah yeah yeah………. It’s funny how you all at Sony, and the MLB ESPN fans all talk up the Yankies, and Dodgers constantly. But never talk about the Tiwns…….. Hell they have the best record in BassBall right now, as well as the best batting pen in the leaque right now, on top of that we have twice the wins over the Yankies…… Who are 4,1 while we are 9,2……………

This post just proves that Sony panders to ESPN and what ever team sells the most stuff. MLB is not about who has the best selling gear for their team Sony, it’s about who has the best players. The Twins have the HOME RUN Batting Champ, the Golden Glove winner, and the MVP award winner all on the same team this year, and you never talk about them other then “Oh look they got a new ball park……..”

The Twins are a joke and a temporary fascination until they actually win something more than personal awards, mmmkay?

My Giants are gonna take the NL West this year. Starting rotation and bullpen are argueably the best in the league and we just took it to the Cards and Phils the past week.

PS: Dodgers suck.

Yankees might not win the AL East this year due to the Tampa DRays they got a good squad. On the NL West I think the Dodgers will loose to the Giants so the Giants might take it. But the issue here is that We also got to think about the NL Central. St. Louis is no joke and they might end up beating everyone on the NL side.
