Hi Everyone!

All of us on the DCUO team are extremely excited to provide the PlayStation.Blog community with the world premier of the DC Universe Online official E3 trailer.

The team has been hard at work gearing up for E3, and as you’ll see in this trailer composed entirely of actually game play footage. The moment you step into the world of DC Universe Online, you will experience high paced action and physics unlike anything ever seen before, and this trailer is just a taste of what lies ahead for you! Our goal at Sony Online Entertainment in Austin is to combine a fast paced action combat experience that console gamers expect with a huge online world supporting thousands of players. Our saying around the office is “Prove Thru Play,” and we can’t wait to get people in front of the game at E3 this week to take it for a test drive and experience for themselves exactly what we mean.

This trailer also shows the tremendous influence Jim Lee has brought to the table working as the Executive Creative Director on this title – his edgy take on the DC Universe has been transformed from the traditional 2D comic book medium into an immersive 3D interactive environment where you become the next legend! Between now and our release in November, stay tuned for tons of exciting releases from the team – we can’t wait to show you what is up our sleeves!

  • This looks great, but didn’t I see this in KOTOR and Marvel Ultimate Alliance? That being said, it’s nice to see D.C. getting serious about a game. Looking forward to playing it.

  • Looks alright, but come on guys reveal or not if it’s free to play already, so I know whether to be completely interested or not. >:-(

  • want to play as hush, if you guys know that is. looks great and I’ll probably get it.

  • The Joker looked weird, especially when comparing that look to Arkham Asylum.

  • And to the people who run the Blog, the site for the last week or so has taken longer to update and I find my browser almost freezing at times.

  • been waiting for an MMO to play on the PS3. I wanted to play this for a long time now. Sadly tho, if FFXIV comes out around the same time as this, FFXIV would win me over. I wouldnt have the time or the money to be playing both and paying monthly fees for both.

  • I can not wait for this game! If it’s Pay to Play, please let us use PSN Cards!?

  • Never tried an MMO, but I am a big fan of DC (Johns and Lee in particular). This has me excited, but I am still not sure if it is quite enough to buy yet. If it was a one time purchase fee I would probably give it a go, but a monthly fee (like most MMOs) will probably mean a pass because there are no guarantees I will have time to play it enough.

  • just what we need..superman (isnt he dead?)

  • Just some words Hamina Hamina Hamina!!!! Being evil will be sooo sweet!

  • I have been serch long and hard ever since I left my PS2 Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Universe MMO. I felt that they were supporting Xbox 360 more than PC and PS2 combined. I needed a game to fill that void to battle enemies on my PS3, but it never came….until now. Since E3 of 2008, “they had me hello” when they announced DC Universe power by Sony Online Entertainment, creaters of Ever”crack”, I mean Quest. Now it’s coming out in November and most of the details are probably haven’t been told yet. Can’t wait til the Sony presser tomorrow!

  • eh… I don’t know about this one… Looks good but..

Well WB also made that awesome Mk trailer so it’s worth a shot I guess…

  • I’m not into MMOs AT ALL, like I hate them. But this looks pretty damn cool, I’m going to have to give a try.

  • SOE’s doin a great job bringin this to ps3! =D

  • Can you create your own superhero/villian? Cole looks better than this guy.

  • i cant wait until dc online come out.so when do it come out
